I don't use SonosNet. I turn off the WiFi from the soundbar.

You probably know this but for other folks reading here:

Keep in mind turning off WiFi is not really an option, despite what the label for that control tells you. It turns off the entire radio which breaks sub/surround systems.

In reality, it'll work with the surrounds connecting to the home WiFi, but it might not be the best option, because it won't be a direct connection between the soundbar and the surrounds. In this case, the soundbar will appear as WM:0 and the surrounds as WM:3.

Check if Sonos is in a wireless or wired setup

Additionally, you can wire the soundbar, surrounds and sub and turn the WiFi of all of them off.

Doesn’t WM: 3 only apply to the Era line?

Replied to that one, possible network issue with Asus routers, unless they also have leaky microwaves.

The WM codes are not yet supported by the new Sonos app, so it’s safe to read that as being inaccurate. WM3 is for speakers that cannot connect to SonosNet connecting to the variant of SonosNet that surrounds use. Only Era 100 and Era 300 speakers would accurately show WM3.

Yes we have reached an agreement. I agree your wife's use of the Microwave may affect wireless streaming to your soundbar. I agree wire APs if possible. I don’t agree with the statement of wiring everything, this is not practicable for the vast majority of people that buy wireless devices.

My test with microwave was extreme, I used an Amp that is furthest from AP, as group coordinator to other devices capable of streaming Apple 48/24 lossless, yes it did drop sound, it recovered.

If it was me I would look at using the cable you have for soundbar and use for an additional AP, if there is interference in that area from microwave.

You know that when I mentioned my wife using the microwave it was supposed to be just a funny reply to you . I don't have real issues with that, but as I mentioned, I try to keep away from 2.4Ghz, as I know it is subject to interference, not only from microwaves, but from cordless phones, garage door opener remotes, baby monitors, Bluetooth, etc. And, yes, it's impractical to wire everything and that's why we invest in mesh Wi-Fi. But, try to keep it at 5Ghz or 6Ghz, as much as you can.

BTW, I have a printer without Ethernet port and it only connects on 2.4Ghz 

If you turn the microwave on while you’re printing, do you get a picture of what’s being cooked? 

The below is true:

Ironic, I have a printer with an Ethernet port, and no WiFi.

Even more ironic, my microwave has a WiFi card inside, and connects to Internet, but no Ethernet port.
