Digital Line In Modification

Has anyone ever come across an after-market modification of a Sonos Connect which allows for a 'digital line-in'? I want to play uncompressed audio from external digital sources on Sonos. I am aware of a software solution (AIrConnect) but wondered if there was a hardware approach where the ADC in the Connect is bypassed giving direct 'digital line-in' functionality.

No - only the Sonos Playbar/Playbase.

Playbar always compresses on SBC codec, sadly.

I think there are many that hope for a "Superconnect" new version ahead with digital input (that hopefully then can pass straight through).
