Beam to Mac studio

Hello,

Beam (gen 2) + two Play One connected to Mac Studio via HDMI.

Problem is that there is a lag in the sound when viewing Youtube, would take few mins to hear the sound, also viewing movies the sound is not in sync.

would appreciate any suggestions, thanks

Hi @surround5.1mac, welcome to the Sonos Community!

Unfortunately, the way computers send audio over HDMI is different to how TVs do it, so you’ll likely run into issues connecting this way. I’m not sure if the Mac Studio has this, but you’ll want to connect the Beam using the Optical Adapter.

We have a great tutorial topic that explains how to connect soundbars to computers, which you can find here:

Sonos isn’t designed to be used as PC speakers, but there are methods to connect them. I hope this information and tutorial help!
