spotify stops playing
Been through the related threads - and I have tried to reset my controller, remove Spotify etc. as pointed out in another thread. However Spotify still drops out randomly… I have now tested with another Music Service. Spotify is having a problem, NOT Sonos - I can listen to radio and another music service for hours without any problems, but Spotify drops the stream randomly. One note though, after my system reset, remove / add Spotify and so on, less dropouts occurs. So some effect but still not good enough. l’ll push this into the Spotify support.
Speakers drop off after update if the have unique names/non-drop down
Hey there, When a new update comes out and I update the system I typically lose 1-2 speakers that must be factory reset before I can add them again.It seems to happen only to speakers that have been renamed from the pulldown/menu options you are given when you first add a speaker. For example, if I choose “bedroom” and edit the name of the speaker to “Master Bedroom” it has a chance of being dropped when an update comes out.Am I doing something wrong when renaming or updating speakers?I have one in the kitchen and garage that do not get dropped of the same model but kitchen and garage are options you can choose when adding a speaker.I did not see anything in the forum with a similar problem, or perhaps I used the wrong keywords.My planned next step is to have all speakers on a generic name and wait 3-4 months for some update to be applied and see what happens. If there is something different I should do I am open to suggestions.Thanks in advance!
Strange no sound with Golf channel
So satellite service provider has forced us to update our receivers, Arris 830s, and we have had various problems one that I find really strange, no sound on the Golf channel.Every other channel is just fine and the Golf channel was fine on our previous Arris 630 boxes.Setup is a Sony XBR65X800H, Sonos Beam and 2 Play 1s fed by HDMI and all ethernet connected.I would appreciate any suggestions on how the solve the problem.thanks
Spotify skipping tracks in the middle of a song
Is anyone else noticing a lot of skipping in the middle of a song with this newest Sonos app update? My internet is well over 500mbps and all of my speakers appear to have a strong connection. I’m mainly using Spotify premium to stream on over 7 speakers, but with this newest app update (15.2.1) the skipping is becoming more consistent.
Computer (NAS drive) refused to allow Sonos to connect
I’m on MacAir running 12.6.3 and have NAS drive (Buffalo LS220D992) where I have the musicI moved my Apple Music library to the NAS with no issue. Now in Sonos when I attempt to add the network music library I get the “the computer “LS220d992” refused to let Sonos connect to it” message where LS220d992 is the network drive. On Mac in system preferences I have file and media sharing checked. I do not have firewall on. I’ve tried a bunch of different syntax for the ‘map to networked share in case my syntax is wrong and I’m also not certain what the syntax should be (many path names result in same error). Currently I have \\LS220D992\OurMusic\Music I can mount OurMusic on the Mac and see my music filesAny ideas?
S2 App compatibility
Hi.I have just downloaded the S2 App on to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 to control my Sonos Roam but when I try to launch it the screen just flashes with the yellow start screen.My tab 6 is running Android 12 and is fully up to date.Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to get it to work?For info it all works fine on my S21 Ultra phone.Many thanks in advance for your help.
newbie: apple music on sonos
I’m about a month Into using my Sonos Arc and Sonos One. I’ve been an Apple Music sub for only 3 months, so I’m not really familiar with them ,too. But, I can find albums on Apple that I can’t seem to find using the Sonos connection to Apple. And, today, after finding music on Apple, like NYE 2021 Carl Cox DJ mix, I they look for it in MySonos. I can find one cut from that album, then find the album from that cut, then play the album. It doesn’t show under Recently Played. And when I add it to MySonos, it doesn’t show up. Even though I can go back and try to add it again and the message offered me to remove it from MySonos. Am I doing something wrong here? I do realize that Apple is controlling responses to what I assume are Sonos data requests. Does the same thing happen on other services?
How do I turn of the MANY annoying Progressive commercials?
When listening to a local radio station through Sonos, how do I turn off the The Progressive commercial - the one where he steps on toys while turning out the lights - that repeats 3 times every hour. I never hear this commercial when I listen to this radio station in my car.
I Phone SE 2020 Wifi issues?
I have a 2020 I phone SE, when using my arc and subwoofer…..the Sonos app will quickly disconnect from WI-FI AND Then quickly reconnect the music doesn’t stop when it disconnects….I’m just not able to pause or change volume, also when I go to settings and look at system the Arc and sub sometimes are said to not connected so I can’t adjust my volume settings….I have reinstalled app reconnected Wi-Fi and it solves the problem for few minutes….thinking about getting new phone but don’t want to have same problem if it is in fact the app. Any info let me know
New Search screen in App
A recent update to the iOS app has given a new layout to ‘search’ with an ability to ‘switch to classic search’.The search results don’t show anything from ‘My Library’, neither results nor is it an option across the top where the other sources are. Is this a bug or how do i add my library to the searches. I can access my Music Library under the Browse function and search there but I prefer top be able to have all the search results in one place.
Streaming radio stations - restrictions
Hello. Until recently I was able to stream music from 2 favourite Greek stations (Mancode Radio and Ellinikos 93.2). Now, both stations are geo-locked both on Sonos Play:1 and TuneIn Pro.Is there a setting I have missed that could give me access again to these favourite stations?
Playback stops mid-track; Android controller displays wrong track
Playing local files from my Android S10, there are the following problems.1. Playback stops mid-track every few minutes2. The Android S2 app displays a different track to the one the speakers are playing3. The tracks aren't listed (or played) in album orderAny suggestions how to fix it?(Also please accept this standard rant as a Sonos user for almost ten years that it's about time we could stream content directly from any phone app to the speakers like we can with headphones, and yes I know this is not how Sonos works. I wish I didn't have to wear headphones half the time.)
New issue Spotify and Sonos 5
Hi all,I have 6 Sonos devices around my home and all have worked fine for a long time.I just got home after a trip and seem to have a glitch with my Sonos Play:5 (Gen 2).Cannot connect to the speaker from within Spotify app. It times out. Intermittently cannot play via the Sonos app and get a variety of error messages like “cannot queue item to the device” or “cannot connect to device”It will play from other sources (Sonos Radio / TuneIn)The device is updated. I have powered the device down, reset it to factory settings, reauthorised Sonos in my Spotify account. Nothing has fixed it so far.Any ideas?thanks so much,Maya
Playlists have very limited shuffle
The only info I can find on this issue is two years old. I sincerely hope this problem has been sorted.The problem being, limited track shuffling. I have playlists, particularyly Spotify playlists, consisting of a couple of hundred tracks or more but everytime I play the playlists on shuffle, the same tracks are played. Most tracks I never hear. I’m no software wizard but I would’ve thoght a totally random track-shufflring system would be quite a straight forward procedure. I’m really hoping that there’s something I can do to rectify this problem. Any advice anyone?Many thanks
