Really odd issue today. I am a long time owner of Sonos and have had this current set up for almost a year now. This morning I found out I cannot play any Spotify to Sonos via the Sonos App or Spotify Direct Control. It also does not work starting via Alexa. The experience I see if it connects to sonos via DC and I can even control the volume and see it relect in the Sonos app along with the song it is trying to play. But when I try to play, it looks like it is playing for 5-10s with no sound then skips to the next song. In the Sonos app it says it is unable to play the song - it lost connection to spotify, it does this for every song it skips. This is the same for playing via the Sonos App, not DC. I attached a screenshot below for the error when trying via Sonos App and another for the two spotify options that show up. When I called Customer Support to get help, we tried a number of things including: reboot all Sonos products (all unplugged then all plugged back in), reboot my modem a
I am currently planning to use SONOS for all my music and TV-needs. I have a room that is 4x4m where I plan to have as a “base” for both TV and Vinyl/music listening. The setup I want to go for is Arc+Sub+2 Era100 in the TV room. Can I use one of the Era100s to connect the Vinyl Player to the SONOS network of speakers? And then in the room next to the TV room I want to have 2 Era100s in one zone, and 2 in another zone. Can I still send the vinyl from the Era100 to all the other speaker zones?
Hi there,I noticed some tracks on a Sonos Playlist I created some years ago can’t be played anymore. The player would skip them and go directly to next track. I never encountered this issue before. I have my tracks on my personal server which is connected to my Wi-Fi router and my Connect system is also connected to this router. The playlist was created some years ago, before Sonos started to mess up with different controllers. My controller is now called S1. S2, apparently, is not compatible with my Connect. Though I have also a black Amp that would be compatible with S2 but I don’t want to use 2 different controllersOn the other end when I go to directly to my music library and play the tracks directly, outside the playlist, there are no issues.
Hello community,I have my sonos wired to my Linkys wifi system. My phone never has problems with connecting to Sonos. However, my girlfriend regularly is unable to connect to sonos, although she is on the same wifi network.Any idea what can cause this problem? Moderator Edit: removed pictures with serial numbers
I am having connection problems over the last few days. My music is controlled on an iphone 8 via Apple music. When i navigate to my playlists i am getting two error messages "there is a problem please try later" or if i access a playlist "unable to add songs to the queue" I have recently updated my Apple software to iOS 14.2. Are there any issues with that?
Ok I am not sure I am going to be able to ask this correctly, but I will try… We currently have an S2 system with multiple speakers. We mostly use Apple Music for all of our cloud music uses and Sonos is no exception. Here is the problem, I would like Apple Music songs we play on our Sonos system to not affect the algorithm (play counts, recommendations, etc) on my Apple Music account. The songs we listen to as a family (two young kids) and the songs my wife plays for work (preschool) are greatly affecting my Apple Music listening experience on my own devices. What is the best way to get around this? I am hoping to make an Apple Music account with a “Family” Apple ID, but how does that affect the Sonos app and voice control? Just trying to wrap my head around this and see if there is a solution… Thanks!
Has anyone been able to get TuneIn (New) to work on their Sonos system? I have registered for the new app and rebooted my system, but it still doesn’t work. This is incredibly frustrating. We listen to local radio streamed through our Sonos for about two-thirds of the day. If anyone has any suggestions about how to listen to terrestrial radio, I would appreciate it. For now, I guess we’ll be streaming through directly through the stations’ web apps.
Hi - I have an android phone and have my Sonos app running on it. I cannot figure out how to import my music files on my phone, in the app. I have added Soundcloud etc, but cannot see a way for me to play music stored on my phone, via the app. Can anyone help? Thx
Ever since connecting my plex server to my brother's Sonos account as a music source (May 2021) I always have the option of casting to my brother's speakers from my plex mobile apps and from the web interface at app.plex.tv I have tried removing all Sonos references from Authorized Devices in plex settings. My brother has removed my plex server music from his Sonos app. He's even gone so far as changing his Sonos password. Regardless, I am still able to cast music to his speakers. I have my own Sonos account and can play my plex server music on my Sonos products via the Sonos app. However, from my plex apps the only Sonos casting options I can see are my brother's speakers. I can have my plex server authorized as a data source on multiple Sonos accounts; both accounts can play plex content on their individual systems. However, in my case it seems Plex apps themselves can only cast to the system of a single Sonos account. I don't know from where this limitation originates. It's as if my
Why is the Sonos update process such a mess? EVERY time the update note comes on, which is WAY too frequently, I know I’m in for a headache. I see no reason on Earth for it to be such a never ending disaster. This time it doesn’t even get past the “update starting” phase where it just kept circling with no end. I’m running Windows 11 latest update and also Windows 10 latest update. Problem is identical on both computers.
So satellite service provider has forced us to update our receivers, Arris 830s, and we have had various problems one that I find really strange, no sound on the Golf channel.Every other channel is just fine and the Golf channel was fine on our previous Arris 630 boxes.Setup is a Sony XBR65X800H, Sonos Beam and 2 Play 1s fed by HDMI and all ethernet connected.I would appreciate any suggestions on how the solve the problem.thanks
I get a message via Sonos app saying ‘products can’t connect to Sonos system’I’ve tried the ‘fix now’ options e.g. switch products off & on, and unplugged router, left for a few minutes then switched back on, but still doesn’t resolve the issue, so does anyone have an answer please? Please note that these 3 products (2 x play 2 & sound bar) have previously been connected and have worked fine. Also, Sonos recognises the products, but still not able to connect. Lastly, I have another product (play 3) in a different room that works fine. Appreciate your help/advice
I bought a lot of sonos, a lot.. and I had it all working together with google home. I understand you got into it and did your corporate thing and whatever. Understand this, if I cannot simply stream soundcloud, pandora, or spotify directly to my speakers then I have zero reason to buy anything from you ever again. Now understand I really hate getting online and onto forums… to the point it’s only happened once in the last 20 years and you are the lucky winner. I have been through every troubleshooting tutorial, and I work as an architect in big tech… and I still cannot get your ****** *** system to work. Although your app did crash a few times and it failed to release previous streaming content and it wanted me to switch to your voice assistant. I hope some C levels read this and wake *** *** up. It’s my vacation and I am spending it pissed *** *** off bc my 10k sonos system IS A PIECE OF ****** ***. *** you for ruining it. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Co
Diagnostics code: 800228317“Unable to plant SONG - connection to Spotify was lost” is haunting me. I’ve re-authorized within the app, and can play Spotify directly on my iPhone / ipad on the same wireless network. And I can search spotify through the Sonos app. A recent failure is at the diagnostics code submitted. Appreciate any help Sonos may have...
The Sonos app on my Android Samsung Galaxy won’t play imported iTunes playlists unless the Sonos desktop application is open on my PC. This wasn’t a problem for a long time but started recently. The Sonos app will play all other sources except the imported playlists. If I open the desktop Sonos program and start a playlist using the app, I can close the desktop Sonos program and the app will continue to play music from the imported playlists. Once I close and open the Android app, it will no longer play from the imported playlists until I open the desktop application. Thanks for any ideas to fix this so I don’t have to open the desktop app in order for the Android app to use iTunes imported playlists.
A month ago Sonos showed “Search returned no results for ‘rammstain’ in Artists”.It only worked if there was a non-alpha in the artist name, e.g. AC/DC or Oomph! The issue was solved within 2 weeks or so, but it looks like it’s happening again. Or is it just my Sonos? Thanks for checking.
