Wouldn't it be nice to have a SONOS sound system in your car?
Cadillac has Bose, Lincon has Revel it would be nice to see SONOS in a luxury car brand, preferably American Luxury brand. I personally hope they could swip Lincon from Revel. lol Though Revel is okay as it is a Samsung own brand and connected to JBL, Harmon Kardon, AKG and etc.

Unable to Browse Spotify in Sonos Phone App
I recently updated my Play:1 to Sonos OS: S2 Version 12.0.3 both on my laptop and iPhone. Since then I am unable to access Spotify via the Browse tab on my phone Sonos app. I am able to use my Spotify service via the Search tab to find songs etc. and play them on my Play:1 but am unable to directly access in my phone app my curated Spotify self-created playlists, suggested playlists, etc. since I cannot access Spotify via the Browse tab. I have logged out of my Sonos account, relogged back in, removed my Spotify account, re-added it, re-authorized etc — all to no avail. Whenever I press on the Spotify tab in the Browse tab a “circling” waiting graphic pops up and the app becomes unresponsive if I try to press the back arrow or access the other tabs like Search while the “circling” waiting graphic is spinning. Eventually, after a few minutes the app screen changes from the waiting icon to a screen that states for me to re-authorize Spotify but pressing on the “re-authorize” shortcut but
Will Sonos support higher quality hi res music?
I’m building my hi res music collection and am wondering if it’s worth the pursue 24bit/96khz quality. Currently Sonos can support up to 24bit/48kHz. However, with the release of S2, people are saying S2 shows the possibility of hi res music support. Is Sonos planning to support higher khz with S2?
Concert Hall-- Full Pieces
I am enjoying the new Sonos radio, and having been listening to the Concert Hall station. it is reasonably well curated and I have heard some good an interesting recordings. However, it becomes almost unlistenable because the station usually plays only one movement from a piece of music. This is fine for background music, but makes it intolerable for serious music discovery. Very few companies take classical music streaming seriously, but Sonos is well positioned to be better. I hope that they up they make their service better for classical enthusiasts.
Bowers & Wilkins appears to stumble with its multiroom ambitions
May, 2016: A multi-room B&W system, then? In an interview with CEPro, Yu seemed to confirm as much. “What I want for my own living room has not been created,” he said. “There’s components, like some good interfaces and really good high-end audio/video. If I could buy it, I would, but it hasn’t been created.” Watch out Sonos and Bluesound. https://www.whathifi.com/news/bowers-wilkins-sold-to-silicon-valley-start-undisclosed-sum Today: Gideon Yu, who headed-up the recent Eva Automation, has resigned from his role at B&W, along with the recently-appointed CEO. Yu and his Silicon Valley start-up, Eva Automation, were widely seen as the final piece in the jigsaw for the completion and launch of B&W's Formation wireless range, with the company helping to push the high-end system over the line following the surprise acquisition. https://www.whathifi.com/news/bowers-and-wilkins-ceo-resigns-restructuring-expert-appointed
I Want Earphones
I have a huge investment in Sonos, with a playbar, a boost, a play 5 (2nd gen), 2 play 3s, a one, 4 play 1s, 2 connect amps, a connect, and now a move. I absolutely LOVE the ability to move around the house and have the same thing playing in all or any rooms, or different things playing in various rooms. Unfortunately, not all the people in my household appreciate music as much as I do, and often balk at anything playing anywhere at all. I would rather get rid of some of them before any of my Sonos gear, but alas, this is not an option. I also have a huge investment, including time, in my music library, and all geared towards use with Sonos. If I can’t listen to Sonos at times due to others being home and not wanting to hear it, my music enjoyment is then sharply limited to what I have stored in my phone and through crappy earphones, which I would rather not wear at all. Now, with the advent of the Move, it would seem that all the elements are there for Sonos to apply that technol
Archimago's latest musings on MQA and HiRes
A trenchant critique from someone who always comes across as resolutely supportive of the science. Was I the Only One Waiting to Hear a Sonos Announcement Today?
I've seen a lot of web articles from the normal tech sites talking annot Sonos Event that should have happened today. Everyone thought Sonos would be announcing new speakers during this 2 day even but I haven't heard or seen anything at all.
I'm back with Sonos
Hi all, Up until HomePod appeared I had multiple sonos players in my home for years. From connects to play 5s and play 1s. When HomePod came out I got one and sold all my sonos stuff. Despite this I was never really happy with the HomePod sound. (It replaced a play 5 2nd gen) I thought a software update might help and eventually it did, with Apple altering the original sound signature. But this didn’t end the list of things I didn’t like. For starters this “place HomePod anywhere and it will sound great” is rubbish! Despite adjusting to its location, it’s still highly temperamental in its placement. The sound curve changes dramatically based on where it’s placed. The last straw was last week I bought a third one to stereo pair with the one in the lounge room. It didn’t work correctly. Even after the room correction stuff the right speaker was clearly louder than the left but the left had a higher overall bass response. Nothing I did fixes it. Even reversing the physical positi
Amazon Plans High-End Echo
The company plans to release the new Echo by next year, according to people familiar with the product. Prototypes of the cylindrical speaker are wider than the current Echo to squeeze in additional components including at least four tweeters, said the people, who requested anonymity to discuss an internal matter. Sonos Sues Lenbrook for Bluesound and BluOS, Alleging Patent Infringement
This will be interesting, especially after Denon. Sonos invented wireless multi room audio, and owns all the patents. Hard to imagine they won’t win this one, too. Transferring iTunes Playlist to Apple Music
Recently, SONOS announced that it was going to stop supporting playing music from "on this iPhone" in the near future and that Apple Music was an alternative. So, I created an Apple Music account and was able to upload the music from my iTunes app located on my PC to the Apple Music cloud. However, the playlists on iTunes have not been transferred to Apple Music. Is there a way of configuring iTunes and/or Apple Music so that I can create and edit playlists in one location (my PC) and then have it automatically synced to Apple Music? Thanks, Tom
HBO GO sound quality issues using Fire stick
So I have had my sonos for over a year. I am using a play 5 gen 1 that has a stereo patch cable connecting it to the tv. I am an employee with a home integration company so it’s no where near my first time using this product. About 2 weeks ago I noticed that only the HBO GO apps sound quality has changed drastically since the last time I had used it. It used to be pretty clear, crackle and pop here or there but nothing crazy. All of the sudden it is muffled and I can hardly hear the words being spoken, I’ve tried adjusting the EQ, even going though my tv speakers on my Sony it doesn’t sound quite right. So I’m sure it’s something with the way HBO go formats it’s audio. I’ve eliminated the possibility that it’s an issue with my fire stick, I see there seem to be other issues with hbo go as well thought the forum. I’m just wondering if anyone has ran into this issue before, All I know is winter is coming and I hope to be able to hear it properly!
List of Favorite Reggae Stations-Requesting Recommendations
Can others recommend any of a list of their favorite reggae internet radio stations? Ideally, I was looking for ones that play more of the old school artists like: Yellowman, Steel Pulse, Eek a Mouse, Burning Spear, King Tubby, Third World, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Mikey Dread, Sugar Minor, Culture,Israel Vibration; Gregory Issacs , Black Uhuru, etc. However, any feedback or recommendation would be welcome. Thanks for sharing.
