Hi guys! I recently bought a pair of era 300 mainly to listen to music. With Roku's app I can stream the audio to the pair and it works good. However I am missing some of that 5.1 experience because Bluetooth from Roku is kinda limited. So I was thinking of adding a soundbar to the system. Will the era300 full functions be too limited if I pair it with a beam? Will it work as 5.1 system anyway, with Dolby Atmos? Also: to hear music I have to create a different system within the Sonos app? Read some stuff about this here in this forum and got only more confused

I just bought a Sonos Arc refurb for a good price and it has not shipped yet...the Arc is a little bit "old" now haha. Anything I might be missing out on? I just use my TV with an nvidia Shield Pro and will use the Arc with the eARC port on my TV. Nothing too fancy in terms of use, just a PLEX library and some streaming services.Also I see that only Apple iOS is supported for their room configurations. I do not use Apple products. Am I missing out much by not being able to set up the speakers and map the room so to speak with an iOS device?I am using a 65” LG G5 OLED. Bedroom setup, I opted to not get the subwoofer.Thanks :)

Why does the Sonos Beam Gen2 increases Sony Bravia TV volume by 2 levels instead of 1?How can I fix this? Please help.

Hello, I was wondering if it’s possible to play sound through the Sonos Arc and the Sonos Ace at the same time. My friend likes louder sound so he’d like to listen using the headphones while I would listen using the soundbar.

Hi,I would like to order the combination set of Arc Ultra + 2 Era 300s.  The Arc needs to be black with the Eras white.  Is it possible to order the combination deal in this configuration?  There is only an all black or all white option on the website.Thanks, Kevin

When trying to watch a movie through Disney app on Apple TV, the sound is broken, intermittent…… all other apps play fine…. Netflix, prime….. it’s just the Disney app…. Advice please

I am looking at purchasing a 83-85” tv. I currently have a samsung QN85Q70TAFXZA 4k Smart (2023). I have had a lot of problems with it switching tv speakers randomly. I have eventually got it to work semi consistently. From what I can gather LG and sony tv’s tend to have the least issues when working with the sonos arc. I am wondering if there are any particular LG models or series that considered “problem free” when it comes to working with sonos arc?  

I currently use a Sonos Arc setup with two Sonos Subs in the same room, and the improvement in bass distribution is fantastic. However, in larger rooms or more acoustically challenging environments, the ability to add a third (or even fourth) Sub would be extremely valuable.I’d love to see Sonos expand the current limitation and allow more than two Subs in a single zone. This would open up new possibilities for advanced home theater setups and professional installations.Is this something Sonos is considering for future updates? I know many users with larger spaces would benefit from this flexibility.

Hi Sonos,I’m experiencing the same issue that user CarlDemus mentioned with the Sonos Arc.I honestly didn’t expect this kind of sound quality concern from Sonos. Compared to my 65" Samsung TV speakers, the Arc’s sound comes across as thin. I really noticed the difference when I compared it side-by-side with my Bose Smart Soundbar 700. The Bose was connected using an optical cable, and the Sonos Arc through HDMI eARC, so I could switch between them instantly.To be honest, the difference is significant. At 40% volume on the Bose and 75% on the Sonos Arc, the Bose still sounds fuller and richer. It makes me wonder if my Sonos Arc might be defective. One night, I turned off the Arc and continued watching using the TV’s built-in speakers — and the TV sounded louder and more present. That was extremely disappointing, especially after seeing so many positive reviews online.At this point, I’m frustrated and unsure if this is a unit issue

I am looking at changing my TV currently I have a Samsung QLED and recall when first linking it up to Sonos it was quite a chore. I have heard Sony is the best for Sonos for ease and quality would this be true. 

HelloMy topic title might sound stupid, but I have never had a sub woofer before, so don’t really know what to expect.I just bought a Beam Gen 2 and Mini Sub.Connected the Beam to TV and I CAN hear the difference compared to only the TV speakers.The Sub Mini arrived a few days later, positioned it 2 metres to the right of the Beam/TV. I think I have set up the Mini Sub correctly, white light is on.Put on some heavy metal music from You Tube…….and I don’t think there is any difference!! 😕   Question - is there a way to flick the Mini Sub on and off while listening to music, so I can see if there is a difference??Any other suggestions to ‘test’ the Sub Mini?  

Hello! I have a feature request - front left and front right channels. I think the wider sound stage will sound better, and Sonos can sell us more speakers in the process :) Hopefully it’s implemented in a way that gives us options like using all drivers vs turning off redundant drivers. But the important thing is we retain that option (much like full vs ambient sound for surrounds.) Thanks!

I’m confused about the benefit of a wired connection. Past products created their own private wireless (mesh) networks should any Sonos supporting product be hardwired. Great, but new products don’t use or have that feature. So, what are they doing now talking wired/wireless? They still reference ‘first-wired product’ as the point where the system will utilize wired. Okay, so let’s say the soundbar gets cabled with two 100 surrounds and a sub remaining wireless. The HDMI/TosLink input may be decoded at that device (soundbar) where respective Dolby channels are sent  back to the WiFi router then to wireless devices - all in sync. The ‘first’ product must have considerable traffic receiving packets and sending packets while others basically receive only.However, they say you can wire  ‘any’ product in the system which makes no sense why a down-line sub or rear would lighten LAN traffic. Sure, 100’s can play music or a line input in stand-alone but can they decode an

I have a TCL QM8K and for the first months with my setup everything was working fine. I have the Beam Gen 2 connected to the ARC port of the TV and Play:1 as surround speakers. I was able to play movies with AAC 5.1 or 7.1 with no problem. Now the movies with AAC only plays as PCM 2.0. I have no idea if it was an update that caused this. I even downgraded my TV OS to see if that was the problem but it wasn’t. I have a huge catalog of movies and a lot of them are only in AAC multichannel. I don’t know what to do. 

Hi group. I just picked up a OPPO UDP 203 which has 3 HDMI ports. One in and 2 out (one for audio only). BUT more importantly the unit has 7.1 Analogue audio RCA outs that APPARANTLY can be used simultaneously with the HDMI outs. My question is. Could I send the two left and Right RCA outs on the Oppo to my external Hypex Ncore 500s (which power two towers. while simultaneously sending the HDMI data to my TV which in turn is sent to my 7.1 ARC/sub/100 system and thereby adding a physical [pair of front left and right speakers that are truly playing only those respective channels? I am going to try it but I suspect the issue will be a Syncing one? Thoughts All?

Hi community,I’ve watched various videos but of course my set up, like most, is a little bit unique.  I would welcome advice on where to place 2 x Era 100s for surround.  I currently have LGC1 TV and Arc wall mounted.Typically both arm chairs and the sofa are all used when watching TV.Thanks for any input!  

Okay, this one is perhaps a tad nutty but bare with me a second. I came across a Reddit post where they claim with streaming music in ‘Ambient’ mode (Surrounds), they hear different program material perceived on the rears but not happening on the front ‘stage’. Replies were - they are clearly nuts or yes, DSP is tweaking the surround image. I assumed Ambient was simply rolled off a bit where Full meant the rear volume was hotter. Both being mirrors of L/R channels. In ‘Full’ that’s exactly what it sounds like. But… in Ambient, things seem to change. Standing in the center of the room, I caught what he’s talking about. I hear seemingly panned rear reverb trails and isolated bits like stick taps on the high hat from the rears only. Sometimes backup vocals are heard rear, not present or are weaker in the front. At first I thought it may be different size enclosures, different tweeter responses, reflections or placement. But in Full or when TV audio plays in PCM 2.0, it so

My newer Samsung TV has a feature titled ‘Universal Remote’. Works great with the TV’s Bluetooth remote also having an IR transmitter that emulates many brand IR codes. The brand selected in the ‘Theater’ group drop-down list is Sonos. Mute and Vol. work great. The TV auto switches to optical on power-up seamlessly. Luv it! I have a desktop FLAC player with optical out. I remove the TOSlink cable from the TV and simply insert it into the player. Works great playing audio. But… when I connect the cable back to the TV (which is off the whole time) and power up the system, all remote and Optical TV settings drop to ‘TV Speaker’ having to reprogram all TV settings. This makes no sense why a cable change to a different device blows the TV’s programmed settings. I didn’t find a solution but have a theory the TV sleeps (not actually off) and detects when the cable loses light switching sources. It  instantly defaults back to TV Speaker and doesn't retain the remote programmin

My current set up is Sonos Arc, Sub Mini and 2rear one SLs as surrounds. Thinking of upgrading to Sonos arc ultra and 2 era 300 as surrounds but not sure if too much or would upgrading soundbar be enough. Looking for some advice. Thanks

I have a 3 year old Ray which has been flawless until now. It’s started making a buzzing noise when a high pitch sound is played. We play a game where wolves howl and every time they do, it happens. Sounds like vibration. Is there anything I can do to remedy it, without having to send it off? It hasn’t been dropped/knocked. It’s been properly looked after. The issues happens when the volume is high or low but only when that certain high pitch ‘howl’ is played.  Thanks in advance 

About 30 minutes into Top Gun movie the Sonos soundbar started making this loud piercing sound. I shut it down for about an hour, then put another movie on. Towards the end of the second movie the piercing sound came back. I opened a ticket with Sonos through chat last night and sent them diagnostics. They said nothing abnormal. I have limited time to return this thing to Amazon and right now I am ready to send it back. What could be causing this? The TV has ARC output, Roku feeds the TV. Brand new HDMI cable going to TV that came with Sonos. I don’t see how to attach a non URL video to this post, else I would attach the video I took. 

I’m using two Era 300s as surround speakers for my Arc Ultra, but I’d like to listen to music directly on the Era 300s in simple stereo mode.The only way I’ve found is to remove them from the Arc setup, then pair them together — and then do the reverse operation for home theater mode, which means recalibrating everything again.
