Hi, I am trying to understand the capabilities playing Spotify (free) on google hub and Arc. Specifically I’d like to be able to request a station (or a music type) on the Hub and ask it to play on the Arc. Or start it on the Hub and move it to the Arc. It works sometimes and other times I get message from the Hub saying its not available for Sonos. Cant figure out what should or should not work. I have the same free spotify account linked to both devices as my default music players and same google assistant account, etc. I am wondering if the content being pulled on the Hub is sometimes not available for the Arc for whatever reason even though they are both using the same Spotify account? Or maybe there’s another reason? Thanks
If anything, this post is to vent my frustrations over the last week while trying to intergrate my SONOS devices with Google Assistant/Home. I do not need support, as the stock answer of “Please submit a Report, yada yada yada, is getting no one anywhere on here or various other forums where this issue has been reported. Also, I gave up and have successfully integrated with Alexa with no issues, no glitches, no bugs, just works! To clarify, I love my Sonos devices for their primary role as a speaker and as a music player. The sound quality is superb and the integration with Spotify is flawless. Having said that, Sonos needs to disable and remove from production the Goolge Assistant functionality until it works as designed!Yes, I have reset my entire network and devices multiple times! Yes, everything works on said network and on said devices except for Google Assistant/Home integration. There is nothing wrong with my network or my devices, everything else works, even SONOS with Al
There are posts on here that have been locked that are over 1-year old requesting YouTube music 'likes' in the Sonos app. Please action this or allow Sonos speakers as a target for Google cast so we can cast directly from YTM on phones and like there. Yours faithfullyA new Arc/sub/one user
Hi, I'm looking in to buy a Sonos play 5, currently I have a couple of Google assistant smart speakers. I was wondering if I could pair/sync them with a Sonos play 5 so that I can play the same music across devices or play only on certain devices. Thanks for your help.
I live in an apartment. I have a SONOS Beam and 2 SL speakers set up with a TV in the Master Bedroom. I also have a Beam and 2 SL speakers set up with the TV in the Living Room. I use Google assistant on Sonos. For the past year or so this has worked perfectly. Recently (and it does not appear to be associated with an update) Google assistant on both systems responds with “Sorry there was a glitch, try again in a few seconds” about 50% of the time. Yesterday when I walked in the house both Beams were responding with: “There is no internet connection”. There was NO internet problem as my phone and PC’s were working correctly. I tried to re-setup all SONOS speakers and now I can only connect one complete set (BEAM and 2 SL’s). If I connect the LR setup then the BR one will not configure and vice versa.I’m curious if something was changed in the software lately that is causing all of the grief?Should I be using Google Nest’s and not Google Asst on Sonos?
Hi guys I plan to buy some Sonos One / Sonos One SL.I have a room where I would like to add 6 sonos speaker. I will probably use the sonos one for it size.2 Sonos one used with google assistant and 4 Sonos One SL.First question : do you think it is more efficient to add the 6 to one group or to pair them in stereo and add the 3 pairs to one group ?Second question : In that group I have 2 sonos with google assistant. Is it possible to control the group directly from the assistant ?Last one : f**k the size and take 2 Sonos Five. But in that case is it possible to control them with a classic google assistant ?Thank you community Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

Pretty sure with other google devices you can set the volume of the assistant differently to the music. I like to turn my music up sometimes but dont like Google assisant screaming at me the next morning to wake up. Any idea when this will be added?

This issue has been posted again a few months ago and I am having the exact same issue. I could not see any resolution to this problem and the topic was closed. Since I am experiening the same issue with the google assistance giving nightmares to my children I have copied and pasted the original question re-opening the issue“I have programmed the ‘Goodnight Google’ command to turn my bedroom lights off, and to run some ambient background music until I fall asleep. That all sounds lovely, doesn’t it?I thought so, too. However since I bought my Sonos One to replace my Google Home, when the ambient music (chirping crickets in a field, for anyone interested) finishes an hour or two later, usually in the middle of REM sleep, the Google Assistant suddenly screams “I’m sorry, I don’t understand!”, waking me up in the middle of the night, only for me to go through the entire process again if I make the mistake of using the ‘Goodnight Google’ command. It might make sense if I had asked Google t
I’ve added the Sonos ARC to my Google account. It does show up as Sonos TV control, as expected, however, it can’t be used as it toggles between “Not responding” and “Connecting” and never goes through. I can’t use it to control the TV.The internet connection is stable, I’ve also tried connecting the speaker using an ethernet cable but the result is the same.I’ve created a short screen-video to show how it looks like:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JdsQh0A4woc I’ve found this topic from a year ago which seems to be the same issue, but it was closed for comments without any solution

I want to disable the "start sound" that sets of when I say "Hey Google".Obviously I want to have Google assistent activated, but the sound annoys my girlfriend. I found how to do turn the sound of in Google Nest products (se link below). But I don't find how to do it on my Sonos products (or if it's even possible). I'm guit sure it's possible because a friend that I belive had Sonos as well had managed to deactivate this sound. https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7410241?hl=sv&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid
Hi there! On Automatic Trueplay page it is written that If you’ve added the Google Assistant to Move, Auto Trueplay will be disabled when Move is in Bluetooth mode.Does the same relates to Roam (not Move)? Which actually means that I will not have Automatic Trueplay on my Roam as far as Google Assistant was added. Thank you in advance, Oleksii,
Hi EveryoneDoes anyone know if there is a way to turn off the lower volume when listening function for assistant on Arc?I’ve followed the instructions but it seems to only be available for google made speakers? It’s a bit annoying when I’m watching something and the assistant is triggered by dialogue from a movie, I’ve lowered the google sensitivity but can’t seem to find any setting to turn off the lower volume when listening function.Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Sonos devices are becoming increasingly popular in Russia. Sellers widely advertise the ability to manage Google Assistant as a competitive advantage. However, they do not say that Google Assistant is not available in Russia. I found out about this only after the purchase and this may be not only a reason for a refund, but also a lawsuit. There is no point in selling devices with a voice assistant in Russia, since it is not supported. Customers pay money for voice control but can't use it
Hi, i would like to use the Google Assistant broadcast voice messages with voice match in my Google Home family. The Google Home family has Sonos speakers and Google Home Minis.I want to use the Broadcast voice messages with these Sonos speakers. And i want to active voice match for every family member. The problem is, that my Sonos Account is set up in the Google Home Family and the speakers are only belongs to my Google Account. The Sonos speakers are not shared to the other family members. So, if you start a broadcast voice messages from the Google Home mini the message is only played on a other Google Home Speaker and not on a Sonos speaker, because the Google Home minis are shared in the family but the Sonos speaker not. There is a setting in the Google Assistant App. There you can see that all speakers appear in my Google Account. The other family members only see the Google Home Minis. The Google Home Minis are shared in the family, but the Sonos speakers are not.The question is,
Hi all,When I try adding Google Assistant to my Sonos Arc, I encounter the following error messages from the Sonos app and Google Assistant respectively. I tried removing all the music services in my Sonos app and signing out of all my gmail accounts as suggested in some of the other posts, as well as installing (and uninstalling) the Google Assistant first before adding the voice service to the Sonos App. Could someone help me? Sonos support tried to diagnose the problem for an hour but we have yet to resolve it. Thank you.
