Is it possible to disable the Google Assistant Voice control and keep the linked status in google home? I want to continue to control the Sonos Beams but use my Google Nest Hubs for voice commands. My wife misses having her own personal assistant settings and assistant voice. Right now I have the mics turned off as a work around. I am also using airplay more and more 2 group my Sonos system for music since that feature is not available yet from google. On a side note just having the flexibility to use both Google and Apple are why I use and enjoy my Sonos system every day. Thanks
Google Assistant on my Sonos One had a problem right from the start: about half the time I would speak a command and then it would sit waiting for 5-10 seconds before the light started to flash and it started processing the command. No discernible pattern to when this would happen or not happen. Then about 3-4 weeks ago, the delay suddenly went away, and I haven't encountered it since - until today. Suddenly since this morning it's back with a vengeance. The response delay is there on at least half of the commands. What the heck is up with Sonos and Google Assistant? Can't they fix this and make it stay fixed??
Google on Sonos One will play and understand my commands, but the Google Home app will not see it as a Google Smart Device and therefore cannot set up routines etc. Open fault ticket with Sonos and was closed with no response after my replies.... Hi In the last few days Google assistant as been acting strange. For example if I say "hey Google, turn on the bedroom reading lights" it turns on all the lights in the bedroom. It works perfectly on my google home device or via my phone. From testing I've learnt if I get really close to the mic and speak really slowly it understands what I'm saying. Anyone else having this issue? It was working perfectly. Ryan
Is there a Google Assistant command that will pause the music in all sonos zones (i.e., when I go to bed at the end of the day? I've searched and can't seem to find any relevant posts. I would love to find a list of all commands, actually, but I can't find that either. Thanks for any help.
I have 4 Ones(sec gen) 2 Ones(first gen)they are part of my home theater set up and 2 Beam's They were all controlled by Alexa until the GA download. I never had any problems with Alexa however A was not as good as GA. I was and am a fan of GA. It's on both my phone and tablet The sec gen Ones and Beam's were changed from A to GA as soon as I received the GA update. No problems straight away however soon had many problems with the GA on the One(sec gen) No response to requests ask for music, radio, turn on/off. No GA problems whatsoever with the Beam's. Got so bad put A back on the two of the Ones. A works perfectly unlike GA. Will soon have A on all the Ones. Other members of the community have had similar issues with GA on Ones(sec gen) how big is the problem

Hello, I've owned a pair of Sonos One for about 2-3 months now and they are amazing. Especially since Google Assistant launched for Sonos speaker in the Netherlands last month. The first few weeks were very good and I had little complaints. But since 1-2 weeks Google Assistant stop responding to even the most basic questions. Only when I stand next to the speaker that has the voice enabled and I talk really slow she sometimes understands what I mean. We have our Google Assistant in English, since my girlfriend is Swedish. Even tho there is bilingual support in Google Assistant there is no way to name rooms/devices in Dutch and Swedish. So we choose the middle ground and set everything in our house in English. I've already tried the following:

Setting it too Dutch. It's now in dutch and it's far from perfect. But she does seem to respond a bit better now. But this is not a solution.
Rebuild my entire home in the Google Home App
Factory Reset both my Sonos One Speakers
Recently purchased a Sonos One Gen2 to replace a Google Home in my bedroom and I've noticed that the GA support is highly suspect on the One. There are multiple issues that I'm wondering if others are experiencing: 1) No matter what volume I set the speaker, the GA's voice is the same (loud volume), how do I turn her voice volume down? 2) Can I set an alarm volume separately from the speaker volume (similar to what I can do with my Google Home). 3) This is the big one, I often get no response from the Sonos for simple GA commands like what time is it, etc, and eventually GA responds with "There was a glitch, please try again in a few seconds". Is GA on Sonos really this unreliable? It reminds me of my GH when I first got it who knows how long ago (but it runs fantastic now). Appreciate if anyone can provide feedback, maybe I somehow have a defective unit and need to replace it, but somehow I doubt that's the issue. Thanks Sonos community! PS: I also have a Play:5 and a Sub and love
Hello! I'm trying to set up my apartment for a small, simple home theatre, but I'm running into problems with the audio. My current setup consists of a projector sitting on a shelf on the back wall, a Chromecast plugged into the projector via the HDMI port, a Google Home Mini also on the back shelf with the projector, a screen mounted to the opposite wall of the projector, and a Sonos Playbar mounted to the wall underneath the screen. I don't have a TV that's easily accessible to plug the Playbar into (since they're on opposite walls), so having the Playbar pick up the audio of the projector is potentially not possible (or will require a rather long cable). My hope was to connect my Google Assistant to my Sonos account, with the Playbar set up without a TV, and have audio play through the Playbar when casting to the Chromecast in the projector. Currently, the audio for the Chromecast plays through the Google Home Mini's speaker (by default). The Playbar is visible as a device in my
This works fine on all my other Google Home devices, also using YouTube Music as their primary streaming service. Here if the command I issue verbally to Google Assistant: "OK Google, Play instrumental pop songs" Unlike the Google Home, which starts playing an instrumental pop song channel or playlist, the Sonos responds with: "Sure, playing instrumental pop on YouTube Music" "Sorry it looks like the requested content isn't currently available on YouTube Music" This seems like a bug that someone should look into. Or am I doing something wrong?

Both speakers connected by ethernet to router. No command problems with Alexa Many with GA. Very hit and miss can sometimes take 4,5,6 commands to get a response.Want to stop music I get the audible note the light greys out I can just hear the music in the background then the light becomes bright again and the music is full on. Regularly have to physically turn both speakers off.due to command problems not just the stop command This is irrespective wherher I have my GA tablet or phone in the room. Have uninstalled/installed GA on a number of occasions still have the problem. Have 4 Ones and 2 Beam's all with GA in other rooms gno command problem with any of them
I have 2 Sonos Ones that I am trying to run GA on (Alexa works fine). I have removed all music services, transferred my Sonos to a Google Account and tried everything, but still the connection is not working. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps and things still don't work. It seems like this integration needs a lot more polish. Tried on iOS, Android, failures all around.
Connecting sonos and Google Home ends on a 404 error on the sonos website spotify account is the same voor Google and sonos any idee hoe to solve this issue? thanks
Hi all I have recently been experiencing problems with my Sonos One with GA. Everything was working fine until around a couple of weeks ago when Google does not always respond when saying "Hey Google" or "Okay Google", even when the chime sounds. The problem appears to have been getting worse. Also recently, when setting timers (say for cooking etc.) when the time is up and we tell Google to "stop the timer" or "cancel timer" etc., it stops for a bit but then starts beeping after a few seconds. As you can imagine this can be infuriating and the only way to stop it has been to switch off the Sonos from the mains. All in all, i.e. general responsiveness of the Sonos to GA commands seems to be fairly laggy when compared to our Google Home minis which are a lot more snappy and responsive. I'm wondering whether these are just teething issues which Sonos is working through and whether anyone else has experienced patchy performance? Thanks TT
Just set up new Sonos One with Google assistant. The Sonos controller works and I can stream radio/music through the Sonos One. If I speak to the Sonos, the music goes quiet so the microphone hears me saying 'ok google', however I get no response from Google. If I speak with my Google Assistant mobile device active, then Google response does come from the Sonos. Any ideas Guys? Thanks DD
Hi, I have set up a play one in my bedroom. I have a 5.1 sonos system in the living room (play1s/playbar/sub). I can play music through the Sonos app on my android phone but the Play One will not open apps via voice command. I ask it to play/pause a Spotify playlist "I get sorry there was and error for the Bedroom " I am using Google Voice assistant. Thank you in advance!
I have successfully linked Google Home (on my android phone) with Sonos, so I can play music on the Sonos Play 1 by saying "Hey Google play in the kitchen" (where "kitchen" is the name of my Sonos Play 1 in the kitchen). So far, so good! : ) Google Home has "routines" such as playing the news and weather when you say "OK Google, good morning". But I don't know how to have the "routine" play from the Sonos speaker. On the Google Home app on my phone if I select "Routines" then it gives me the option to "Play routines on" and an Edit link If I click the Edit link I can select from

This device
Google mini
but I can't select the Sonos speakers (e.g. "kitchen") Is there a way to achieve this? Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Hey, do you also have a problem with the sensitivity of Google Assistant's microphone in Sonos one v2? Sometimes, even from a distance of 2-3 meters, it is difficult to start an assistant. After switching to Alexa, I am able to call her from the other room ... Is this a software problem and will be fixed?
