I don’t think this is possible, but all the answers I find are from 3 years ago (which is depressing because it feels like an updated feature is never going to come). I don’t want to group any google speakers with my Sonos speakers. I just want to know if there is a way to say “Hey google play “song” on “my Sonos group”. “My Sonos Group” is one of several groupings I’ve built in the Sonos app. I know there is no way to group within the Home app itself, but is there no command that Google Assistant can’t send to Sonos to just play an already set up group?
Hello,I was wondering is it possible to use Google Assistant through SONOS in Poland? I’m preety sure it was available, before SONOS introduces its own assistant. The main issue is - can I use SONOS to control Google Home devices in Poland? If not, and the problem lies that the Google Assistant feature in SONOS is not available in Poland, can someone answers if SONOS is working on it ? Or when can it be introduced? I belive SONOS looses a lot becouse of this issue... I don't care about service in Polish, but it would be nice to have any Google Home service, since the product is adapted to it in other countries? Are there any other devices that I can add to my home system that will allow me to use Google Home/Assistant and SONOS without problems?
Hi,Using voice commands to start radio stations. Some are working and some that worked before is not. For example TalkSport - when I say play TalkSport speaker responds - playing TalkSport from TuneIN followed by - sorry, I could not play.See in forum that some others have had same problem, but could not see any fix.
I have SVC and Alexa enabled on my Arc, not Google Assistant. I do have a google home in the room as well and if I say “Hey, Google” or “OK, Google” the Arc will lower the volume. The volume does not go back on its own. Removing SVC didn’t fix this. Is there a fix for this?
Ciao, non collega l'occount spotify al provider google home. Potete aiutarmi?Lui mi dice collegato e sistema predefinito ma non parteGrazie Moderator Edit:Google Translate- Hi, it does not link the spotify account to the google home provider. I have 2 Sonos ones in a stereo pair. Only one can be set to run google assistant.I think it would be nice to have the option to have google assistant answer on both / all speakers. Currently the response will only come from the one that is set to run google assistant, and I dont see any way to change that. This would be nice for example when asking google to play pink noise or anything similar, where sound appears to be coming from google as opposed to having sonos play from a music service.Even better would be if all speakers could listen for the wake word, and then start the command from whichever hears better
I bought a Sonos One last week, and would like to allow my family members (in the same Google Home house) to control it with Google Assistance Voice Match. I have a number of Google Nest speakers in my house, on which this works great. Each family member's voice is recognised and gets personalised results.I have been able to add Google Assistance voice control in the Sonos app, and have added the Sonos in the Google Home app. However, Voice Match only works for myself, not for my familiy members. I have noticed that, unlike the Google Nest Audio and the Google Nest Mini speakers in my house, the Sonos is not in the list of devices using Voice Match.Am I forgetting something or doing it wrong? Or is it just not possible to use Voice Match for multiple users on the Sonos One?Your help is much appreciated!
I have spent hours on the phone with Sonus support regarding voice command for Apple music. Support says they have exhausted all the possibilities while troubleshooting and to contact Google. communicating with Google seems to be very difficult. When attempting to use voice command with Apple music, the responses is that Apple Music does not support this arc device. Hopefully someone has come across this before and has a solution.
I have a Spotify Premium family plan and have multiple Spotify accounts linked to Sonos. I also have Google Assistant linked to each of those accounts and Voice Match set up. It all works fine except for my wife; every time she asks the Sonos speaker to play music, the speaker responds saying something like “got it, playing blah blah blah on Spotify” and then: Sorry, it looks like Spotify Premium isn’t currently available. Please try again later. This does NOT occur with Google speakers in the home. When she asks the Sonos speaker “who am I” it tells her her name just fine, so I know Voice Match is working. And I can ask it myself to play music without a problem.I’ve tried:factory reset speaker unlink and re-link Spotify from Sonos unlink the Sonos speaker from Google and re-link it remove Google and Sonos permissions from Spotify in the web UI and relinking everything doing all of the above but with an Android device instead of iOS checking to make sure there’s only one Google Home ch
Subject says it all, it is ridiculous that we have Google Home products in Japan since many many many years, and there is still no integration with Sonos.Could the Sonos team at least state whether they have the intention to get this working?I don’t think there are legal problems, because you sell Sonos One with Google Assistant, so incorporating is definitely not an issue legal wise.So why don’t you support speakers like the Sonos 5?
I have just replaced my two JBL link with Google assistant by two Sonos One. With the JBL I used to ask Google assistant to play music for a certain duration and it worked very well. Now, when I ask the same to a Sonos One, it plays for the requested duration and then, Google Assistant says "excuse me, I didn't understand". And it continues to play. Are there kind of limitations with the Sonos devices?
Hello, Recently (in the last 2 months) the Sonos speakers throughout the house chime out of the blue with “Sorry, there was a glitch. Please try again later!”. This happens even when the speakers are not in use … like in the middle of the night! It seems the frequency of this is increasing. I experienced this issue on both Sonos Play:1 soundbar as well as Sonos S2 speakers. I searched online and noticed lots of people experience this, but there’s no conclusion. I tried removing music services, ensuring everything is up to date, even rebooting the speakers … nothing seems to help! Please help! The chimes in the middle of the night are very disturbing.
I see that a lot of people here and on other forums have problems with activating Google Assistant on Sonos. When I first setup my system there was no problem adding it to Sonos Roam. But after some problems where I had to reset my system Google Assistant couldn’t find Sonos Roam again when I tried to add it.This is how I managed to add it back again.Open Google Home on your phone (I run iOS, might be different on an Android). Click Settings. Scroll down to the bottom and click Works with Google. Click Sonos, and unlink. Go to the Sonos app and add Google Assistant as a voice assistant.Hopefully everything works for you now.
I have had one heck of a time trying to get a family Sonos setup working. There are five people in my house, and my goal is to have each person’s Spotify account tied to their voice using Google’s Voice Match. This works well with the Google Home Mini devices in my Google Household. I have also (after many, many times trying to reconnect) been able to get two voices linked to my new Sonos system. However, when adding the third person I get the following error:Can’t add devicesAsk the person who set up these devices to add you to this home in the Google Home app. Check that you’re linking a consumer Google account and not a Google Workspace account. I can confirm that this person is added to the home in the Google Home app, and I can confirm that this is a consumer account. The only other instance of this error message I can find on the entire internet is this thread on the Sonos forum which leads me to believe this is a Sonos issue. Please, please help. Between this and the fact that I c
Hello,Are Google Home routines supported using the Google Assistant on Sonos products? I was hoping to replace all of my Google Speakers with Sonos but when I say “Hey Google turn off the lights” (which is a custom Google Home routine it works though the Google devices but not Sonos devices.Thank you,Greg
When I say “hey google” on my Sonos Arc, it is not aware of the timers I set on other Google Home/Home Mini devices (even though the Google devices themselves are aware of timers you set on others). There isn’t an issue with linking accounts. I am surprised. I also noticed commands like “hey Google turn off the TV” which normally works on a Google Home Mini responds with an error on Sonos (oddly enough I can do most other things via Sonos Google Assistant like turning lights on/off).
I have several Sonos devices across my apartment (Play1s,Play5s, Connect:Amp, ZP100) and also several google devices (Pixel Phone, 2 Alarms, Google Hub)All Google devices work properly in playing spotify or streaming radio on any Sonos Device.EXCEPT my GoogleHub where I love to have my radio streamed with my first coffee and its driving my crazy. Early in the morning I do not want to fumble around my phone for the app but use the convenience of voice commands. That's where I get the "This”mode is not available on <Sonos Device Name>” while the GoogleHub shows me the Sonos controls on the screen (which does work btw).Already checked country settings, spotify accounts (it's also TuneIn btw), re-connected all services.Any ideas ?

Hi all!My Sonos One arrived yesterday, haven’t unpacked it yet. I live in Croatia, Europe and google assistant is not supported on Sonos. I will change my Sonos profile to USA or UK. Will it work? Yes or No? Also, I get that google and alexa is not supported everywhere but why does Sonos voice control not work around the globe? It should not be region restricted.Neven
Hey all,I set up Google Assistant on my Arc last night and it keeps repeating “mic is muted” and then after a couple of seconds (or sometimes longer) “the mic is back on” while music/sound is playing. I did find this sonos thread with the same issue, but there are no other devices around it and I cleaned the device to make sure there wasn’t any debris. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the heater is somehow interfering with the device (there’s a vent about 1.5’ below), but the mic only seems to be triggered while the speaker is active and not at rest. Here are some videos of the behaviour: I ended up disabling GA on my Arc for now (luckily I have a nearby Move that’s currently able to pick up my GA voice commands), but it’d be great to be able to use it on the Arc since we don’t plan on having the Move in that location permanently. Any ideas?
Hello there,Until now, I was using a Google Nest Mini speaker to control my lights and plugs connected to my home.I recently got a Sonos Beam and I set up the google assistant. With the Nest Mini, in the application, when it was located in the same room as the connected plugs and lights, when turning on or off, there was a simple "ding or dong". With the Beam, even if it's in the same room, I still get a confirmation like, "Okay, I turn on the light..."Is there any way WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE ROUTINES, to have a simple ding / dong? Thanks for your help
Google assistant doesn’t work very well on my Sonos ARC (not very responsive and most of the time there is no answer). A friend of mine said the same thing and then he moved to Alexa and said it worked much better. Google works a lot better on my dedicated Google Home. I guess the bonus of using Alexa is that you can also use the Sonos voice assistant at the same time. Not sure I want the hassle but has anyone experienced that Alexa integration on Sonos is much better?
