Sonos App Keeps skipping tracks randomly - file not found
I have a Port connected via ethernet, a One connected via WiFi and the port is feeding my main AV receiver via digital out. I control it all via my iPad and the Sonos app. The library is stored on a Drobo NAS connected via ethernet all on the same subnet, one router, one switch, all gigabit. When playing an album it will randomly pop up on the iPad “Unable to play xxxxx File not found” I can manually skip back to the missing track and it will immediately play. Is there a fix for this as its really making a mess out of my enjoyment now??

I cannot setup the speakers in the IKEA App. I have talked to IKEA Support at they cannot help me.
control Port from Apple Home with voice control via HomePod?
I have a Port connected via Ethernet, and a Apple HomePod (connected via WiFi) but can’t figure out if I can voice control the Port via the HomePod.. for example play a track from Amazon Music on Port using a voice command. My first problem is that … although I have added the Port to the Apple Home app, it stays greyed out and is non functional from within the app. Is this the root of the problem?
Wire all units or just 1 or 2?
Dear community,I'me refurbishing completely a 3 story apartment. I'm planning to have several Sonos units on 1st and 3rd floor. I see two options:wire one unit in each floor and have the other units connected through sonos net. I guess this will create 2 sonos nets independent from each other right? wire every unit in each floor; more work and less flexibilityI would only go for 2. if there was any issue with 1. Otherwise is more work and less flexibility to move units around. Which way would you go for? Thanks in advance! André
Apple Music / AirPlay Compatibility with Many Devices
We have a ton of difficulty getting consistent audio to come out when using Apple AirPlay to play Apple Music through our all of our Sonos Speakers. We have 10 varietal (brand new) speakers and we use a Sonos Port to play audio through additional old hard-wired speakers using a regular Yamaha amp. When it’s working, it’s amazing!!Wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to listen uninterrupted. It goes off regularly now, even when I leave my phone stationary in the kitchen. Thanks for the help!Jordan PS: We much prefer airplay because of the Apple Watch compatibility with Apple Music. I wish Sonos made the watch app! The LYD app is not a replacement. I tried it!PPS: Additional Apple Incompatibility Side Note: the Sonos Apple Music management system is really lack-luster. It’s very unlike the actual Apple Music app, which makes it hard to get the same great listening experience. Examples: Playing all music by an artist is forced sorted by album, you can’t easily start a radio stati
Feature Request: Speakerphone function
In this era of WFH I would like to be able to use the Sonos speakers throughout my house as speakerphones for regular phone calls and/or Zoom/webex/etc. meetings. It seems like my Sonos products have all the necessary hardware; but don’t have the right software and/or Bluetooth profile(s). Can this be added?
Sonos Arc and Active Fiber Cable - Do I need a voltage inserter for eArc to work?
Hi all and sorry for the long post!I am honestly at a loss right now. I have a Samsung Q90R TV, which does now officially support HDMI 2.1 and eARC, and a Sonos Arc sound bar. While I can get normal ARC working and hear sound perfectly, this obviously creates latency issues and there is a slight lip sync issue which drives me nuts!So as far as I’m aware, I need an HDMI 2.1 certified cable for eARC to work. No problem, I tested my setup with the HDMI cable that came with the Sonos Arc (which is HDMI 2.1) and then suddenly eARC turns on and all is well! However, the problem is that I need a cable that is 15 meters (50 feet) long and also supports HDMI 2.1. So I research and find that to get those sort of speeds at that length you need a fiber HDMI cable. So I bought one from KabelDirekt, that is certified and has the legit HDMI 2.1 certification sticker, meaning that in theory it should work perfectly. However, to my dismay, when I try and use it I can only get traditional ARC and eARC re
share sub mini
hi, i have the sonos beam gen 2 and i would like to buy the sub mini and connect it to the soundbar, but i would also like to buy a sonos one with which i would listen to music, is it possible to share the sub with the two devices without having to unpair the sub mini every time? I don't care about the surround effect, I want 1 Sonos one, and used it with sub mini but also with beam 2, it is possible?
Login Issues on developer portal
Yesterday I registered for the developer portal (integration.sonos.com) and successfully logged in, developed my first PoC. but today the login doesn’t work. When I try to log in, it’s telling me password or username error. When I try to reset the password, the password reset page redirects me to the “SONOS - Looks like something went wrong!” page. Also when I try to register for a new account with different mail address, at the end of the registration page it’s showing me the error page, and no account activation mail is sent.I reported it already to the 24/7 support agent, but seems I am the first reporting the issue today - even if it occured already an hour ago and is still ongoing. Do others experience same issue, or does the login or account registration or password reset on developer.sonos.com / integration.sonos.com work for you?
hooking up a beam to two tvs
I have two 70” Samsung TVs mounted right next to each other on my wall in my basement. I’m trying to figure out a way to toggle sound back and forth using one Beam. I tried using an HDMI switch but it doesn’t work. Any suggestions? Someone recommended I use the HDMI switch with audio optical HDMI adapters instead of the ARC HDMI ports. Not sure what else to try. Seems this should be an easy fix.
How to integrate my home’s wiring?
Hi all!just moved into a new home, and has multiple ceiling/mounted speakers with a section of wall housing all the connections. Trying to figure out if/how I can rig this to be driven via Sonos to integrate with my own Sonos speakers that I’d like to set up elsewhere. what is currently in place is:2 wall mounted speakers in the family room; 2 ceiling speakers in the living room; 2 outdoor speakers on the deck.I attached a photo of the wall where I would need to connect things. Any advice? I’d like to avoid buying multiple Sonos Amps if possible… but that may be the solution. Thanks in advance!!
HiAm I right in thinking that I can add a old Sonos5 series1" to my Sonos Arc & x2 Sonos1 surrounds Setup/Room & play my vinyls through the 5s but enable playback through my arc & 1sThink that make sense 😳!🤣!& will there be any issue with the 5 being Series1 & the appI'll control everything from the new Sonos App so I can't see any As far as I can understand I'll just be using the 5 as a vinyl bridge into my Sonos Setup 😉!🤔!......
sonos port, denon reveiver, how to get vinyl playing over sonos?
I've got the following Sonos system including a Sonos port denon receiver 4500 connected to the Sonos port via “CD” input on receiver to the Sonos portfluance rt-85 connected to the denon receiver built in phono stage is there a way to play the vinyl to the port for Sonos? I’ve tried connecting a cable for zone 2 on the denon to the port’s “in” connections and setting up the line in as seen on a few videos but I get no audio
Using sonos Amp as source to power other sonos Amp
I’m planning to update my celling speakers and amps. Right now the amps are in the pantry with connection to the speakers and I don’t have wires from TV to the pantry so I can’t use TV as source without delays. I’m thinking of using one Sonos amp connecting to TV HDMI arc and another in the pantry to power the celling speakers and group them together so I can use celling speakers as TV speakers. Would there be delays in such use case? Any suggestions would be helpful
2 Arcs registered but using only 1--how to reconfigure?
Apparently I created a thorny issue when I swapped out Arc SL (returned without resetting it) for Arc for my home theater surround system that includes Sub, Arc, and 2 One’s as left and right rear surrounds. Each time I try to re-configure, Sonos app adds “room 2, 3, etc. and does not allow me add the One’s--it only presents 2 other One’s I have in other rooms. Now, my entire config is messed up.Is there an easy resolution? It seems every attempt I make only complicates matters!Help!
Boost: Not connecting
I just moved to a new apartment and they use Xfinity internet service however the service is through the apartment complex through what Xfinity calls it “community wifi” and my boost will not connect to the internet here. Ive tried everything from app/system reset to purchasing a brand-new boost and it still won't connect. The Xfinity tech rep mentioned that they use IP 10 vs IP 192.168 which could be the reason why the device won't connect. Additionally, I tried wiring the boost through the ethernet in the wall, ethernet switch coming out of the modem, and finally the modem itself and no luck. At this point I have no clue as what it would be. Sonos tech said that it would be multitask issue from Xfinity or a firewall setting thoughts anyone?
alarm multirooms/time zones
I have noticed that can group rooms from the Sonos app. Are you only able to set an alarm for one speaker or can you group speakers for certain time periods (morning wake-ups in multi rooms) I want to wake up with music in several rooms on weekdays, but in afternoon my need for playing music is different and then I need to re-group. setting them individually does work as it is out of sync
S2 App list view at opening
Hi,Since I proceeded to an S2 App update couple of months ago (Android 13, Pixel 7), now the list view is always triggered at the opening. This is very frustrating because I only use the widget on my home screen to directly jump on my device to manage streamed content... But I land on this useless list view (I never used it on my daily uses). Before that update, I was opening the app on the device control view. Is it possible to revert this behavior? Thanks for your help,Mike
Arc + LG C9 but occasionally BenQ w2000 projector with various video inputs
My setup for daily use is Arc with LG C9 which works great. I would occasionally like to use my BenQ W2000 projector for movies and gaming. Movies would use Apple TV 4K as source and gaming would happen with PC or consoles such as Nintendo Switch or PS5. With these I would like the audio to go to Arc and video to the projector. Ideally I could keep these source systems permanently connected to LG C9 as well via splitter or switch so that I wouldn’t need unplug and plug devices when using the projector. Is there a switch or a splitter that would keep the audio quality as good as the original source (e.g. Atmos)? From video point of view the W2000 is capable only for 1920x1080 but in case I would upgrade that at some point it would be nice if the video would also be of original quality.Any advice would be appreciated!
