Does anyone have any recommendations for a portable CD player that I can connect to my Sonos Five? I have a large CD collection that I'd like to inergrate into my Sonos environment and my Five appears the best way to do so. I'm looking for something under $100. Thanks in advance.

Except for a few HiFI brands, I doubt CD players are even made any more. Or even DVD players, those could serve just as well. You may find something on eBay perhaps.

Personally, I wouldn’t use a headphone jack, as that comes after an internal amp - which may not be great on a portable.
Something with a line out would be my preference - maybe something like this :-
+21A Blu-Ray or DVD player can play CD’s, can be bought cheap and most have line out. You may even have one in the house.
