So I have a Sonos Play 5 gen1 and a Sonos 1….will I be able to keep them both on the Sonos S1 app? Or do i have to move the Sonos 1 to the S2 app? and keep the 5 gen 1 on the S1 app? I just want my sonos to work together…

Yes you can. However, the Sonos One will no longer receive feature updates. Both products will still receive bug fixes and security updates.
Note: One SL can only be added to S2 systems. One SLs that are already part of an S1 system will continue to work as they do today.
