HELP SETTING UP SONOS BEAM WITH ANDROID PHONE
I just bought a Beam today and was amazed at the lack of instruction with the equipment, other than download the app and select ‘set up new system’.I downloaded the app to my android Samsung version 6.0.1.On opening the app, the only option is to ‘add to existing system’ - but I don’t have any other Sonos items. How do I find the ‘set up a new system’ tab?
[BUG] Sonos iOS app / Sonos Arc - Volume keeps maxing out to 100
Hi, my Sonos Arc finally arrived today. Unfortunately the product is unusable because the volume keeps automatically going to 100 all the damn time. I’m using an Apple TV 4K with it and using via HDMI ARC to my Samsung TV. All is fine, the Trueplay is setup and all. But I can see that the status light flashes as if someone was secretly turning the volume up until it can’t go any higher, after that the Sonos Arc just keeps beeping angrily because it can’t go any higher but keeps trying. The only solution I found is to disable the ‘Touch Controls’ option under Hardware settings on the Sonos app. Have I just paid £799 for a defective product? Should I return it? Or is it a bug with the app itself? Diagnostic confirmation number: 1032501406
Sonos Arc loses connection to Samsung TV
Hi there, My New Sonos ARC is losing connection to my Samsung tv every time I turn off the tv, to reconnect i need to unplug the tv and replug then the ARC finds the connection again, nothing else I plug into the hdmi ports on the tv has this problem. HDMI ARC port already in use
I am trying to set up a Sonos Beam. My Panasonic TV has three HDMI ports. Only one is an HDMI-ARC port and that is already in use by my DirectTV cable box. Apparently the other two ports do not work with Beam. I keep getting the message that “CED not connected”. The CEC on my TV is enabled. Can anyone help?If i need to use the “optical audio adapter”, then where do I plug that in?any help would be greatly appreciated. SONOs online instructions are weak, at best, for a neophyte trying to set up his first soundbar.

Sonos One & SL paired
Have a Sonos one, which is controlled with Amazon echo dot, I've bought a SL which I want to pair with the One on stereo. I've never used the true play thing with the one as it just looked a gimmick. Place I bought SL from recommend trying it. Do I do it individually with each speaker or when there paired in stereo. Oh and o do know the One has a mic, but us it's easier to use the echo dot, with the mic on the Sonos we had to shout to get it to work. Advice on Trueplay appreciated.
Audio Skips - Sonos Beam + LG Oled
I have sonos beam connected to sonos amp (rear ceiling speakers) for living room. Both are ethernet connected. I then have a 4 port hdmi switcher in between tv and nvidia shield/xbox/switch. Every now and then Ill get some glitch where have to go into LG oled to turn on and off a bunch of hdmi settings. Today randomly we started getting constant stuttering. Of course switching to tv sound fixed issue. Tried removing 4 port switch and still have issue. Was working fine before. Builder put in permanent hdmi/ethernet behind fireplace so Im pretty screwed with swapping hdmi cable if it went bad. I guess I need to connect directly to tv to see if cable issue. I just dont know why all of a sudden we got this issue. Diagnostic info 2131050412
Sonos sub not connecting after Arc and SLs are connected fine
I picked up my Sonos Sub and Sonos Arc earlier this summer. Everything was working fine over the last few months. Picked up a couple of SLs on Cyber Monday to attach to my system, and it’s been horrible:one SLs weren’t recognized, and only left one eventually connected I had to disconnect the sub in order for the one SLs to finally connect tried to reconnect the sub with zero luck restarted the iphone hard reset the sub by unplugging it and holding the link button down reset the modem Sub is trying to connect with flashing green, and iPhone can see it but it completely times out when connecting I added the LAN connection with a bit of pain and still no connectionThis is massively painful - have read all the troubleshooting guides, and the only thing I haven’t tried is unplugging the Arc and One SLs as well.Any ideas out there??
Sono Beam Air Play No Longer Working
Sonos Beam Airplay stopped working. I tried resetting the router, restarting the Mac, resetting the Beam. Nothing is working. I tried all three things multiple times. The only thing that changed today was the Sonos app update, I figured after a full product reset of the beam things should work right?!?This seam to be a recurring problem. I’ve seen posts that go back two years… after a days worth of work this is not the way I want to spend my time… spending hours trouble shooting your product is not my job, specially considering your ticket price.A simple audio jack to connect to the computer output signal would so easily solve all sort of headaches. I had the product for a couple of weeks and considering that it also took hours to get things to work when I first set-up the system, I’m sincerely thinking of returning it.
Crackling/Static on Sonos Beam
Hi All Just received a new Sonos Beam today. Everything working ok with exception of crackling/static sound when using Xbox Series X. Issue goes away if I revert to stereo sound but clearly this is not a solution.I can see many have been complaining about this. Is there a fix? Should note all other sources are fine including Sky, PS5.
Sonos Beam dual voltage?
I recently bought a Sonos Beam at Costco and was wondering if this is Dual voltage (AC100-240V)? I travel and would like to be able to use this in Singapore where they use 220V. It would be great if someone actually bought this in the uS and brought it to either Europe or Asia also give some feedback. Thanks
Arc + sonos sub (gen3) does not let me add sonos one
I already had the sonos arc+ sub(gen3) connected to my TV. And it works fine. I just wanted the little extra experience of the all surround. I bought 2 sonos One.When i added these to the app, and tried to put them in the same room as the arc and sub. the app created an additional room for it with a number 2 (tvroom2). The app also says it cannot find two compatible sonos speakers if i try to set up surround. they are powered on and connected to the wifi. I am able to connect my sub to the sonos one speakers, but not the sonos arc for some reason. Any suggestions?

Playbar - basic sound quality
Dear community I am new owner of Sonos Playbar, I have just installed it today under my Sony Bravia Android, I have replaced it with my old 2.1 JVC sound bar which was given me a lot better sound, I tried to find some sound settings to maybe lift up bass or so but I could not find it so at the moment I have basics sound which even is worse compare to sound from my TV, please advise if I have done something wrong or it is how it is, I was really expecting premium sound from that expensive sound bar
echo dot 3 rd gen & Sonos Beam setting up
Just bought Sonos Beam, sound is brilliant but mic is poor. We have a Sonos One controlled by Amazon echo dot, it was set up by a friend and works perfectly. I bought the beam and a 3 rd gen echo dot hoping it would be ok. I am about to give up and return the both after a very frustrating few hours trying to get it sorted. Unfortunately the friend who set the Sonos one and dot up is no longer around to help. I’ve asked a couple of others with mixed views ...no it can’t be done is the last view. The main reason for the echo dot controlling it is the Beam is in a unit under the tv, and mic reception is very poor. Any advice appreciated, I need to sort it quickly or I’ll just send it back for a refund.

Hum from Sub Gen 3
I appear to have a slight humming noise coming from my new Gen 3 Sub. It is most noticeable when the sub is awake, but I have noticed that there is a much quieter hum when the sub is asleep. There is also a very slight ?crackle? noise with the hum.The hum is present when audio is playing, paused, or muted. The sub is paired with an Arc.The hum doesn’t get louder when I turn up the volume slider. Here is an example, recorded on an iPhone with the microphone placed about 1cm away from the hole on the Sub. Sub was awake, with a music source on pause:Example 1 - Sub with HumAnd so you can see the background noise that is generally in the room, this is with the Sub asleep:Example 2 - Sub asleep (natural background noise only)You may need to crank your volume up to hear the hum example… I think the iPhone tries to eliminate background noise (which doesn’t help when you are trying to record a hum!)Should I expect this?I can only really hear it when I get my head close to the sub… but having re
How to connect Sonos Beam to an Optima HD141x projector with no Optical or HDMI Arc
Hi, I have a new sonos beam and an old Optima HD141X projector. The projector has an audio out, HDMI 1/ MHL, HDMI 2 and 3D Sync out S5 as well as mini USB as per the photo attached. I would like to get the beam connected to the Optima projector. What is the best way to do this to ensure best sound quality and also to keep voice control (Alexa)? The beam requires an optical or an HDMI Arc as far as I can tell. Do I need to buy an HDMI Arc converter or some form of HDMI to optical converter? If so what will give the best sound quality? I am planning on having a play 5 (gen1) , a play 3 (gen 1) and the new beam all in the same room. The Play 3 is currently using wired to the projector via the audio in (on the play 3) to audio out (on the projector) connector.I want to create as best a surround sound quality as I can. Thanks all.
Can’t add speakers to Arc setup
Hi allI’m praying that you guys can help me out, as I’m at my wits’ end here.Trying to setup a new Arc/One SL/Sub system.Even just adding the Arc doesn’t seem to come without its issues. The S2 app prompts me to Connect to TV - in this case, an LG CX. I’m hooked up to the eArc input. Connection will fail in the app, which informs me that something is interfering with the HDMI connection. I’ve removed all other devices, yet this persists. However, the TV settings still allow me to select Passthrough and eArc, and the bar does appear to work okay. So I’m more just curious if this is expected behaviour, or should the app still be reporting a successful connection? The far bigger issue, is that I simply cannot add my additional speakers to the Arc afterwards.Every speaker is powered, with a flashing green LED, and they’re showing up as ready to be connected in the app. I’ve tried with and without SonosNet. It can see them, it knows they’re there, but it can’t talk to them or form a handshak
Sub wifi (working but not working)
Hello all I am new to the Sonos family and so far very happy (when it works) my issue is with this brand new sub gen 3. firsrly on occasion it will just work but it takes a lot of work to get there and if I do a simple router restart I then have to start the whole process over again.it is important to note that YES the sub is connecting to the WiFi router and according to my router statistics the signal is “Excellent”. Another note to make is that Yes I have tried 2.4 ghz and 5ghz and it makes no difference. I have screen shots of the sub showing up or even at the end of setup asking me to reboot the sub for the app to see it. it is quite frustrating can any one direct me if they have the same issues. I just bought this and am thinking Sonos have a dud and it needs replacement.
