Hello,I’ve had a Beam Gen 1 for over 4 years now and never had any issues with the sound quality in that time. I recently moved house and since then I’m finding that when watching TV or movies I’m struggling to hear what is being said. It’s really quite subtle in that it’s not all speech all the time, it seems that certain things are worse than others, for example one word in a sentence you might really struggle to pick up or if there is a scene with someone on the phone you can’t make out what the person on the other end is saying. I never had this problem before I moved house and I'm wondering whether the Beam took a knock which has caused a small fault with one of the 4 speakers or something similar that is causing quality or part of the audio range to be affected. Speech Enhancement is already turned on and i’ve also tried Night Mode which has not helped at all.Is there anyway to do perform a diagnostic on unit that could detect faults in any of the components?
Hello, I’m changing my mail in Sonos profile and have no problem logging in.My problem is that it request to verify that new address but i don’t receive it.I double and tripple checked … the mail is correct. It’s just I don’t recive it while i can receive it on gmail (which i leave). The new email is looking like firstname.lastname@example.org I even had to revert the mail back to the old one since i cannot post here if my mail is not validated. Regards, Pasik
I have seen several posts of BEAM using HDMI ARC (in my case with a Samsung TV).Sound works for little bit and then cuts off.Fixes I usually see are unplug TV and Sonos and replug and try again. That does not fix it for me. I did see something about and update...but my BEAM is updated. I love Sonos...but this is killing me. I wonder if I am still within my return period.
Reboot every weekend? Is that the solution? This is REALLY annoying and I able to reboot each device, reset each device, and reboot my router. However this cuts in to family time every Sunday. Is this what this SONOS system requires? Thanks for any help on this topic.
When I play YouTube on my TV through my beam and sonos amp, my ceiling speakers the music goes out of sync. To be clear the ceiling speakers are hard wired into the Amp and the amp is linked to the Beam (and Sony TV) I've played around with the app to no avail. The Amp appears to run the sound slightly ahead of the Beam, and it sounds terrible! What can I do to fix this ? Thanks Ollie
See image below. From within the Idagio app my Port’s do appear in the “connect to” section of the Idagio app (IOS), but the app does not want to connect to them. In the image “Bar” is one of my Port’s. If I click on it, nothing happens. Seems like it wants to connect, but returns to playing on the Ipad.I can however connect via Airplay, but that is not what I want.I have authorized etc.Any help?
Hello everyone.I’ve had a Sonos set up for years now and this isn’t a new problem, but I’m only just getting round to asking for help.I have a Sonos Connect that is cabled into my router in my living room. All other devices are connected via wifi (Netgear Orbi w 2 satellites). The other devices in the set up are Connect:Amp, a Play:3 and 3x Play:1’s.The problem I have is that (pretty much every time) the Connect will temporarily lose connection or sounds for 10-20 seconds, whilst the other devices playing in the same group continue to play just fine. Some times it can drop out multiple times in a session. The Connect is the only device to have this problem though. Can anyone offer any help?Diagnostic report: 980666758 Many thanks,
Folks,Third attempt to “re-discover” a missing room. It happens to be my “tv room” that worked beautifully for years. My 75” QLED is connected to my SONOS playbar … my playbar is paired to my Gen 1 SUB that is paired to both surround Gen 2 Play 5’s. I talked to 3 different Sonos Customer Care folks on 3 different occasions and they suggested 3 different “work around” fixes. None of them worked. This most recent one - probably the most frustrating one ended the call by instructing me to call my router provider to ask them to remove all “access points”. Are you kidding me.? I then have to call Sonos back to then readdress the problem… more system diagnostics. It’s been 3 weeks now that due to a Sonos Update that has rendered my System… Expensive system as well - USELESS. If there are SONOS folks reading this… this most recent case number is 03897942 that once again… for the third time was unable to resolve the issue. ANd quite frankly speaking to 3 different people providing me with 3 di
The Sonos app has been getting worse and worse in terms of connecting to my systems. A lot of the time only some of them appear, if I reboot my phone and the sometimes the systems they reappear. Now it cant connect and keeps telling me my network has changed or that I need to reboot my router and reconnect my systems. They are connected to the network fine and can stream music, just I cannot talk to them using the app. Anyone had a solution from Sonos to fix this, the app used to work so well now the whole system is bordering on useless.

Mon système a toujours bien fonctionné historiquement.
I am splitting my system to a S1 and S2 system. I also use plume to boost my WiFi signal. Currently, I have a S1 capable Connect connected via Ethernet to create a second network for my entire system. Do I need to connect one of my S2 speakers with another Ethernet cable to create a second Sonos network just for the S2 devices or will the current connection work for both S1 and S2 speakers?
The key is setting up a well organized Folder Structure by genre, then perform a Folder and File permissions applying inheritance on all. Linux/Unix is picky about permissions.Keep the update manageable. For instance, I had to scale back from a single run of 45,000 songs to batch updates of 10,000 files per Update session, run back to back..My NAS is a small Xbox 2TB drive, reformatted into NTFS, partitioned into Music and Movies, with a total of four partitions and the last being a “blank”, free space, partition that can be used to reset the music library index. My NAS is plugged into a mesh ASUS RT-AX58U router, which simplifies everything with their UI..
So, I have two Sonos Play:1s and 1one gen2. They are synced to provide music (via Tune-in radio) throughout the house but I find they frequently drop out and I have to restart the app. This also some=times happens if I am streaming spotify (premium) Wifi is working and available because I can see the signal and access internet. There are no other significant bandwidth drains one the network at the time (e.g. no TV or other video streaming). Anyone got any ideas please as it is annoying. Thanks
