I have the iPhone (iOS 10) Deezer app which can play music via Airplay or bluetooth or line out. Plus I have the Sonos Deezer app which plays only on my Sonos Play:1. I want to play the same song with both apps simultaneously so I can use my Play:1 together with my excellent Logitech Boombox for Ipad bluetooth speaker. So I need an electronic "button" (an app) which I can press on my iPhone to start a song simultaneously in both apps, allowing for any time lag. Maybe the iPhone microphone can be used to help with the syncing by listening to the music from both speakers and delaying any which is out of sync. Has anyone developed this? Is this a good idea? Let me know if you want to use my idea (invention).
Sonos needs to make the TV play button quicker to select on all their menus if your using the app on your phone or tablet. You should be able to select TV from the now playing music screen or its options, Sonos widgets, and also from the lock screen instead of having to totally go into your device and then into the app to select TV. I like to have the TV on (watch sports) and listen to music at the same time, but if TV auto play is on as soon as you change the channel it kicks the music off and goes back to the TV audio. (So right now I have TV auto play off, or is there a way anyone knows to prevent this?) Either way though I still think there needs to be a quicker way to select between the TV and Music. I can't be the only one that would like to see this. How do you suggest this to Sonos. Thanks, Tyler
Have 2 Play:1s upstairs and 1 Play:1, 1 Play:3 + 1 Play:5 (2G) downstairs. Everything was working fine until I just included the new Play:5. Now, anytime I try to play 4 or more speakers, the music drops out and the SONOS speakers disappear completely until I reset my router (are not recognized in app nor desktop controller). Thoughts?
I have a Sony 930c and its hooked up directly to my Sonos Playbar. My Sony TV software is completely up to date and so is my Sonos Playbar. I've noticed that the audio randomly drops out for half a second throughout a live show or TiVO recording and I don't know what's causing it. I've read that people reccomend plugging the Sonos Playbar directly into the cable box but I have an Apple TV and Xbox One so it doesn't make sense to continually change where I plug the optical output into. Does anyone else have this issue with their Sony TV?
I work in a warehouse with four Sonos speakers linked to the app. Ever day at 12:30, the app stops. The rooms disappear, queue clears itself or the radio stops, and the app isn't responsive for about two minutes. It comes back a little while later and we reload the queue and all is well until the next day at 12:30. Why? How do we make it stop, for good and always?
Is it possible to add the function next title by pressing two time play/pause for radio stations ???
Hello, when playing a playlist i can go to next track by pressing 2×play/pause and last track by 3×. It will be great if you can add this feature on radio playing for switching the stations in my radio stations list on sonos. Kind regards from germany
Please help us that need to use our iPhone to set up our Music Library in Sonos. • Change the hint you use when we add a new source of our music to forward slashes / instead of backslashes \ • Allow our current address for source to be edited, not just deleted...most times just a minor correction is necessary • Give some feedback when our entered strings are in correct...usually it is just an added space or a typo • Please rework the code so we can enter data in landscape mode where the keyboard is considerably larger than in portrait mode • And finally...Updates are nice, but why make them mandatory? Most often I cannot "Play My Music" until I succumb to your demands that I download and install your update.
I ordered European power cords for three devices (Connect:AMP, Play:3, and Play:5) that I bought in New York. All three cords came today, and in separate bags...but without any indication on them as to which specific component each one is to be hooked up. I do know that they are NOT interchangeable. Does anyone know where I can find out which cord goes with which device? Mahalo.
Hi There, I have a 65" Shark Aquos #LC65E77UM and my playbar connected to this via the Fiber Cable. When I watch TV I don't use cable I only use a Mac with a Plex server playing downloaded video. If I use my iPad and the Sonos Controller it lets me define the volume up and down and mute button from my TV remote and it works great. After I turn off the TV for the night and come back to watch TV next time the remote is no longer define. I can I make this stick permanently? Regards, RURocking
I have a fairly large room about 25 x 17 with 8 foot ceilings. I would like opinions on what speakers to purchase. I like stereo separation, so I am definitely going to buy either two Play:3's or two Play:5's. I realize the Play:5's are the best, but my wife does not like loud music. She prefers to have the music on in the background so she can carry on conversations with family and friends. Therefore, my question is would two Play:5's be overkill for what I am going to use them for? Would I be okay with two Play:3's and save $400? Thank you.
Does anyone use a Boost with their Sonos system? My room is at the end of the hall and even with a Router + Extender wifi is very spotty (lots of interference with walls, other devices, and networks). Unfortunately, this has proven to be a disastrous pairing with my two PLAY:1s (and wanting to add a 3rd). Does the boost actually set up a network separate from my Router? Can I use other devices besides Sonos on it (i.e. iPhone and laptop)? To make matters more difficult my SF apartment is a bit outdated and I do not have an Ethernet port in my room. Would a Boost work with a phone line to Ethernet adapter? Or a powerline to ethernet adapter? Any other suggestions to this tricky situation?
Hi, I have been using sonos home theater (Playbar + Sub + 2xPlay1's) to great enjoyment. In the last few days (roughly correlated with the final 7.0 software update), I have been noticing audio dropping when playing 5.1 sources. This is fairly random, but the audio just drops out for 1-5 seconds randomly, sometimes several times in a row. Then it is fine for a while, and then there is another batch of drops. What's interesting is that I was on the 7.0 beta program for a while, but this didn't happen when I was on the beta. However, I only did trueplay tuning for the playbar after the beta, so maybe that has something to do with it. Music playback on the same system is 100% ok with the surrounds on 'full' mode. I captured some diagnostic information during a period when I was suffering these audio drops. The diagnostic code is 6873982. The same media that used to play fine before is suffering this issue now, which suggests that it is a Sonos issue. Any help woul
Napster has stopped working on my Sonos system since the 7.0.1 update. The Napster app on my PC and tablet works fine. In Sonos error log the following messages are logged: Thursday, 15 December 2016 - 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time : Dublin, London Unable to play '' - unable to connect to Napster.
Hi all, for some reason or other I can't connect any Sonos component to my LAN for some time.. (Dumbo damaged the in-wall cable..) For the time being (until I find the time to fix it) I had to switch to standard Wireless mode. Works almost like expected, but: My CR200 doesn't find any Sonos products. The Windows desktop controller and even my Windows mobile app still work. Is the CR200 not capable of using standard Wireless anymore? (Has it ever been capable at all? Never tried before..) Thanks in advance Thomas EDIT: Could a mod please change the title to 'CR200 on standard wireless'?
