The Sonos website states that the PlayBar works with S1 and S2 App controllers. When I try to complete setting up the PlayBar to the S1 App, I get an error message before completing the task. I need to use the S1 App as I have an old Connect:Amp for my rear speakers. What is the work around please?
We have 8 Sonos speakers on our home system, plus a boost. Randomly, the music will stop playing through different speakers at different times, but continue through others. Then it will randomly come back to all of them. This happens fairly ofter. It does seem that it happens most often to the speaker that is closest to our router and boost. Tried most of the fixes I’ve read here, but feeling like the solution is over my head. Diagnostics # is 1367912203. Just submitted it while it was happening.
On holiday with my Sonos Roam initially paired with my iPad, then my wife wanted to use so I forgot the device and she paired. On reversal, I have lost all Bluetooth connection and cannot pair. Roam shows only flashing white, green or red light but no blue. I want to reset but it seems can only be done through original network - but we are in out hotel and so cannot connect. It asks if I want to reset via another I.e. hotel network but this doesn’t seem possible. Is there a way to pair the Bluetooth connection without going through initial setup via the home network? This is the second time in three months this has happened and means I will have to stop taking the Roam on holiday if I keep experiencing this level of drop out.
I have some PLAY:1s and last year added a One SL to my system; I use the S2 controller. My problem is that Spotify will not play anything on the older speakers unless I start it on the One SL (which plays fine) then pair to an older speaker. I also have to keep them paired otherwise spotify stops playing. It's very annoying and I wondered if anyone else had an issue.
I’m having trouble reconnecting my Play 1 to my WiFi. It was working fine and then lost the connection, having made no changes to the WiFi.I did a factory reset and got a flashing green LED.I downloaded the latest Sonos app to my tablet, and there is no sign of a system/settings menu. All I get is a screen with a button “Join Existing System.” When I hit this it searches and tells me it can’t find a Sonos system and takes me back to the first screen. This happens even when connected by a cable and rebooting the routerHow do I get to a screen that allows me to re-enter mu WiFi settings? It’s beyond frustrating - seem to be going round in circles!Any help is much appreciated.
Hi,Anyone else having a “volume way too low” problem when listening to an Amazon Music Station and an Atmos track starts playing just after a non-Atmos track?I've had this issue since Atmos Music was launched by Sonos & Amazon last December. I have been in constant contact with Sonos support since then, but they weren't able neither to acknowledge the problem nor to fix it.What I know is that if I simply pause this Atmos track (which I can't barely listen to) and then resume it, the “volume way too low” issue is gone… until the next Atmos track comes in :-(I'm trying to find out a pattern for troubleshooting.
I have bought a Sonos Amp and a Port to augment my system of 2 Sonos 5s, a Playbar and several Ones and Ikea speakers. I'm on Sonos net and have historically always suffered from interference. It's a big help being able to use the Support info to check signal strength etcHowever the Amp and the Port are showing no info or colours etc on the report. I understand this may be a change in policy from Sonos - is that the case? And if so……. why do it?
I use my Sonos Amp as a Home Cinema amplifier and it was working very well: as soon as I switched on my TV, Sonos Amp switched on and amplified the sound brought by HDMI ARC. Since I created an account, downloaded Sonos S2 and configured my Sonos Amp, I must open S2 application and choose TV in order for the sound to be amplified by my Amp. That wasn’t the case before. Is it possible to make Sonos Amp amplify the TV sound by default ? (otherwise I will factory-reset it and stop using Sonos S2)
Connect:AmpSoftware Version: 67.1-25031Hardware Version: 184.108.40.206-2.1I have a TV playing audio through the Connect:Amp’s line in. The volume is loud enough and everything works well apart from one thing. If there is some audio produced by the TV after a period of silence, the Connect:Amp misses the first second of the audio. If the audio after the period of silence is less than a second long, or not loud enough, the Connect:Amp does not output the sound at all to the speakers.Would anyone know how to solve this annoying problem?
I just got a second subwoofer to add to my Sonos Immersive set with arc which has 1 arc, 1 sub and 2 ones. When I attempted adding the second sub to the system It failed and said “there was a problem verifying your Sonos app” And also said “Error code 1002” I searched the error code up and did everything sonos says to do to resolve this error code and it didn’t work. I also tried going to my products in the sonos s2 settings and clicking on the product group of my home theatre and then scrolling down to the button which says “Connect second sub” when clicking on that button I was given a note saying “ To connect a second sub add a sub to your Sonos system” I have a sub gen 3 connected to my home theatre system already so why am I receiving that note. I’m extremely frustrated and confused what is happening and wanting to figure this out.
HelloI have now been trying to have my Sonos system to my network for a couple of days. Was working earlier last week.System is a 2xSL Sub and Play bar: This system cannot be added to any network that I have running in the house currently a 2.4Ghz and a Ghz. Error come up that they cannot connect to network nor the internal Sonos network. This system is purchased outside of my current living country not sure if this can have an impact or not.Sonos move. This one working without any issues and can be added without any problems. Any tips/help is very appreciated. Kinda hates to have a system just standing around collecting dust // Patrik
Hi all, (4K Movies specifically)No I didn’t do my research, but have a small room and find the Beam is super, so am sticking with it.I have a few movies on my hard drive which I have needed to re-download as long as I can find Dolby versions….I could just change my LGTV sound settings to ‘pcm’ rather than ‘auto’ for every DTS movie, but that’s a slight drag.Don’t want to focus 100% on one title, but as an example I’ve been looking for the original Alien movie, but every 2160p example I can find has DTS. So I was wondering if there is a website or source which lists movies that have Dolby sound?May be a long shot but thought I’d ask anyway. Thanks
After the latest Sonos update, my gf unplugged the Sonos One during the update thinking it was something wrong when thr led started to blinking and now the speaker makes a strange electronic sound and hangs up (almost like a broken record), and doesnt play any further.I have tried to factory set the speaker without any luck. Have never experienced this before.Diagnostic: 35527183
Hi all,I have a Dual 1209 turntable (my dad’s, from the 60s) with an RCA cable leading from it directly to my Sonos Port. Then I play my turntable via two play 5s (gen 2). The problem I’m having is that the volume is super low and it skips intermittently.Of note:It’s not the record skipping; I’ve played the same record on traditional wired, passive speakers. I’ve set the Source Level to 10 on the Port. It does increase it a little bit, but it’s still very low. As for the skipping, I changed the audio compression to compressed and that didn’t work. I have no wired Sonos products, so there is no channel for the SonosNet I have a Onkyo receiver (from the 90s) with a Phono setting which I used in conjunction with the Port when I was playing the turntable via traditional speakers AND a Play 5. The volume was low on the Play 5 then too.
Hellou! I just bought Beam Gen2 and One SL, I have old Ikea symfonisk speaker. I love the sound of them but I cant pair them use surround voice. Two compatible Sonos speakers are required to add a surround speaker. Make sure the products are turned on and connected to a WiFi network.I have tried reboot all speakers, installed them many time, rebootted router and used ethernet cable to Beam. Nothing has helped,so far.My router is ZTE MC801A.Here is diagnostic number: 74666999.Forgive me for my bad English :)Greetings from cold Finland!-Henri
I’m an Apple user and have my IOS and Sonos devices working across vlans using mDNS. Unfortunately this doesn’t work for MacOS device. Any ideas on why not? Simple solutions? I was excited I didn’t have to do anything weird to get things working and only discovered the MacOS problem as I was wrapping up. Thanks
I bought a couple of SONOS ONE to connect them to my beam so i get a surround system. I have connect them all toghether, however, by speakers SONOS ONE´s micro does not turn on in anyway, meaning that the only micro ON is the one from my BEAM. Because of this, i do not know whether my SONOS One´s micro works, i do not know if Alexa works on them etc…I starting asking to myself that may be, if Beam is already using Alexe, maybe this blocks the Sonos Ones micro ?? I have tried to reset the speaker, uninstall the sonos skill in alexa…can you please help ? i am going crazy with this issue.
For some reason I cannot connect all my sonos sl speakers with the arc and sub to create the home theater set up I desire. The sonos sl speakers are like their own two entities they won’t even pair with each other. I tried rebooting, unplugging, uninstalling the app, reinstalling the app, I have clicked on the play button when the chime sound comes on and still the sonos sl speakers will to sync and integrate with arc and sub. I need help I don’t know what to do? I am new the his sonos ecosystem but this is major deal brearker and if I am not able to do this I think I am going have to return this and return back to Bose. This is just too complicated. I need some help before to resolve this.
My small sonos system is a Connect Amp ( gen1 ), a Play3 and a Beam. The Connect amp is wired to the ethernet via a Powerline that also served several other wired devices. Beam and Play 3 are on wifi. The system has been solid since I first installed it many years ago. The Beam was installed in 2019. Absolutely no issues.Yesterday I went to play some music via the connect amp and Sonos S1(11.2.4 Build 57483220 ) and everything had disappeared. I tried the app on another iphone - same.I then tried everything I could to recover the system and devices for a good hour but in the end gave up and had to reset each in turn and rebuild the system.Just before doing this I had checked that the router and all other net devices were working and there was no log alert on it. All other devices were working normally including a smart TV and Fire TV wired to the same powerline connector as the connect amp. The ip cameras ( also wired ) showed no break in operation between the last time I had So
I have recently purchased the Sonos Move, and there is a problem with Alexa. When the speaker is paused or not plying any music, it hears the Alexa command just fine, but when music is playing, even very quietly, she doesn’t respond, no matter how loud I shout Alexa. Sometimes it does if I fully turn off the speaker and reboot it, but again after a few commands it will stop responding as soon as anything is playing on it. I have 3 Sonos ones that are all excellent at picking up my voice when they are playing music, so I know this is a Move issue. Also, please note that I realise that you can’t use Alexa in Bluetooth mode. This is purely on WiFi like the rest of my system. Any ideas?
Music on my amp is great: loads of flexibility to play it loud or soft. Switch to the TV and it’s unusably loud at night with minimum volume. I’ve tried Night Mode, but it sounds awful and tinny. I have tried volume limiter but that only affects the upper volumes but not the lowest. Even setting the TV at 1 or 2 is too loud when trying not to wake children. And don’t even get me started on the delay and jumpiness of the volume control through the TV. I love the sound but there must be a way to lower the volume more, Sonos???
We three zones in our home, two are powered with separate Connect:Amps and the remaining zone is a Play:5 that we don’t use as often and so can’t verify whether this issue happens on the Play:5. We've been having this issue randomly for years now and it’s frustrating. We can have simultaneous playback going in two of the zones, playing the same song, and one of the zones will just randomly stop playing for 5-10 seconds and then it comes right back. The Connect:Amps are hardwired and we have a super reliable wireless network anyways, so it’s definitely not a connectivity issue. We recently got a new ethernet switch and that has made no difference, the issue happened before the new switch and it still happens now. Also, the fact that playback never skips a beat in the other zone indicates to me it’s not a problem with the Internet connection or even the LAN.If we listen to music for 5 hours straight, the issue may happen 3-4 times over the course of those 5 hours. Not enough to make
