There is no way to plan a party with this technology : there is always a risk that the connection between Sonos and Spotify gets lost. You're just stucked with your friends with no music. I've been experiencing connection issues several times but this time, it's been one week that there is no possibility for me to listen to my Spotify playlist from Sonos. If someone could help, he would be more than welcome
Hello! I'm a new Sonos user and have imported my music from iTunes into the Sonos music library to discover that only about 15% of album artwork made it into Sonos. After reading through pages and pages of forum threads I tried the idea someone suggested of dragging and dropping the album cover from iTunes into the folder where the tracks of that particular album reside and renaming the file "folder.jpg". Then I clicked on the update music button in Sonos and surprise surprise the album artwork appears for that album on the album menu. When I then go into the album the artwork is displayed at the top but is missing for all the tracks! It's going to be a long slow process to make a jpeg for each missing album but if the artwork is missing for all the tracks, what's the point? How hard can this be for Sonos to mirror what iTunes does? if anyone knows how to fix this I would love to hear about it. Cheers.
I have ripped albums to my hard drive in FLAC format. Songs from different albums are louder or quieter depending on the album. Is there a way to level volume? This is really annoying because most songs on my exercise playlist are fine, but some great songs play really quietly. I hate to remove those songs but my hands are not free to adjust the volume.
I have searched and read multiple posts through the years about the same issue. I have had my SONOS system for 4+ years and have had my Music Library, at one point, working perfectly, but recently I did a force refresh from the iPhone app & it crashed and now the library is completely gone and when I go to re-add my library I get the message that everyone gets, "Please wait". I have uninstalled the controller app on my iMac & reinstalled, no go. Rebooted, no go. Reset my router, no go. Unplugged my Bridge and all 5 of my speakers for 20sec, no go. I have let the "Updating Music Library" run for 72hrs+, no go. Nothing has worked. I have about 20,000 songs in iTunes. No Audiobooks. No Podcasts. Running Mac OS 10.12.2. iTunes 184.108.40.206. iPhone app 7.0.1. Mac app 7.0. Has anyone ever gotten this resolved because none of the posts I found offered a definitive working solution. Thanks!
If I have hard-wired connections to some Connect:AMP's but WiFi to others will the devices that are hard-wired use WiFi anyway? I have some devices that are in a poor WiFi reception area but others that that are not. I don't want to turn on the WiFi and hobble the hard-wired devices. Thoughts?
Hi everyone I wanted to share my experience in case anyone has the same issue or has had similar issues and figured them out. So... - My Sonos configuration is Playbar (audio-wired to TV), SUB + 2 Play:3 (WiFI) in my living room, 1 Pay:1 in the Patio and a Play:1 in the bathroom, all Wi-Fi - NO Speaker is hard-wired into the Router - I am a TWC 200MB/sec customer - I was using the Arris modem+router provided by TWC without any issues whatsoever - I bought the Netgear C7000 (included in the compatible devices list by TWC) last month and had it working since to replace the TWC one - the issue I have been having is that sometimes one or more Sonos speakers will stop playing (Mostly, the Sub or the Surrounds in the living room, but in the patio too). Sometimes it seems like streaming any other media on my Mac - including simple youtube videos - triggers the issue, sometimes it's totally random and it happens while no other device is streaming or downloading or doing any other he
Reference of the months long issue is here. The problem at this point has been narrowed down to Rear speakers often losing connection with rest of the setup. For more reference please search community for my post "issues with netgear c7000" that has all updates on the various efforts of troubleshooting I have done. Thanks for looking into it.
We play music in our business all day long. The songs players (2 of them) have been turning off or losing connection to the internet. We aren't sure which. The internet is still working on all devices in the building so the internet is still on. Is this a problem with the songs player itself OR do we need to try upgrading out internet connection?
I have had my sonos system for over a year and a half, we have 6 speakers and a line-in for the phonograph. This error suddenly appeared on the desktop and now won't add my music library but amazon services still work. Please help, change of computer name, firewall settings didn't work. I ran a diagnostic and have the code ready.
I've been using Sonos ZP100 zone players for over 16 years now. Up till now, the sound quality has always been very good. Recently, the sound quality has definetly gone down across all six of my ZP100s. It doesn't matter if I'm streaming music from the Internet or playing music from my collection on my NAS. I'm wondering if it's possible that more recent FW upgrades could be optimized for newer player hardware in a way that might negatively impact the sound quality of my players?
I recently bought a play 5 and cannot add Siriusxm to the music list. I get an login error message that says Invalid account and gives me the number to Listener Care. I called them and my account is accurate and valid and I can listen to Sirius on other devices. I tried changing my Sirius password, it made no difference. Any ideas on what else I should try?
While streaming music from my music library on a computer in my network (Hardwired via ethernet) I get an error that sonos can't connect to the computer during a song. It then jumps to playing the next song on the album. I've ensured that sonos and wireless routers are all on separate channels as recommended on the Sonos site. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!
Well, almost everything I suppose (since it still isn't working). I can't get any audio from my ps4 onto the playbar. I have just connected a ps4 to my tv. The TV has an digital optical out to the playbar and regular TV viewing works fine. I have a remote setup to the playbar so I can control the volume independently. I have my ps4 audio settings set to hdmi out and dolby. I've tried with linear pcm and dts too. The audio on my ps4 is fine because when I plug in headphones I can hear perfectly. I just can't hear anything out of the sonos. Please help!
I have a playbar, sub, and two Play:1 speakers connected through a Samsung UN65KS9800FXZA SUHD TV. The playbar sound drops out periodically, and often, throughout the playback on DVD movies, NetFlix, and Youtube. When this occurs the indicator light goes from solid white to toggling between white and red. When this occurs I can still hear sound through the sub and Play:1 speakers. Any thoughts on what the problem might be? A defective playbar?
New to Sonos, I have the app on my iPhone and on my MacBook Pro. I create playlists on the MacBook & then sync them to the iPhone. I can only use my iPhone playlist to play music, if the MacBook is open. Is this correct? Sometimes I get an error message on my phone saying the item could not be found. Grateful for comment. Thx.
Hi, I'd like to move my Sonos library to a USB drive and stick into my router. I'm unsure how to describe the path for the Sonos bridge to locate the drive. Has anyone done this, and is it even feasible? I'm running MacOS El Capitan (soon switching to Sierra). I would appreciate any advice you might have.
