Ever since the new software rolled out, we have trouble connecting to the system, playing in party mode...etc. 9 times out of ten the IOS apps fail to connect to the system. Is anyone else having these problems? btw, I've been running my Sonos system for 10 years...so I know how it should work.
I have tried disconnecting all of my Sonos components for at least 2 minutes. Pandora then played for 1 minute and then the error message came back - "unable to play - the connection to Pandora was lost". This started happening in a similar pattern 2 weeks ago after 1 full year of no problems. Pandora works fine on my desktop and internet browser but not on Sonos now. Any ideas? We love Pandora on our Sonos.
I'm new to sonos and subs, I have recently got a sub to go with my play bar and have noticed that when I turn on the tv or press play after it's been in standby, it makes a small pop sound just before the music kicks in. Doesn't do it if I pause then press play again only when it's been stopped long enough to to go in to standby Is this normal?
If I am playing music from my phone, the sound will cut out (app still thinks it is playing) about 30 seconds after tabbing out of the app or closing it. I am not able to control the app from the drop down menu on my phone or from the lock screen - the pause button just doesn't work and the controller disappears after trying to press it. If I go back onto the app before it cuts out, I see the message I normally see when opening the app for the first time ("searching for your sonos system"). The only way to listen to music as it is meant to be listened to is to leave my phone on the app with the screen on. That just isn't good enough. I've been having these problems since very soon after I got my play 1. There are 2 other play 1s in the house if that helps. Any ideas?
Is the ease of SonosNet also a weakness? What if someone places a Sonos device near my house and power it up. By gaining access to my house (as a legal guest at a party, or by breaking into it while I'm out) and locating one of my Sonos devices and a tablet with the Controller App (I have a handful lying around my house) the intruder easily adds the rogue device to my SonosNet. By powering down the rogue device it will not be listed in the normal Controller GUI. Later, the intruder can power up the rogue device (eg in the trunk of a car parked outside) and use its Ethernet port to gain full access to my home network. Is this possible? Are there any additional security measures I can take still keeping my Sonos devices in the wireless domain? Using my wifi instead of SonosNet?
I have resently bought a playbar and sub. the players installs just fine, but everytime I start a controller it says that one of my players needs to be linked to my sonos account. ( in this case the SUB) I enter my password for the Sonos account and after a while I get an error: "Setup problems - Check your internet connection and that all you players are plugged in. If the problem persists you can try again later in settings" ( internet connection is not the problem) When I log in to my accouint on sonos website I can clearly see the sub in the list. What should I do?
I've received this error message when trying to add itunes purchase to my playlist. It shows up in sonos but I get the error message below. Unable to play '02 Solitaire.m4a' - access to //MARKO-LAPTOP/Music/Carpenters/Love Songs/02 Solitaire.m4a denied. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
I have a ok size play system. A playbar, sub, two play5 and 4 play1. I went to bed last night and all was working fine, I wake up this morning and all have disappeared off my sonos app except for the playbar. Why and how did this happen? It has never happened before. Now I have to go around and relearn all of them in the system.
Good evening, i just bought a new play 3 to add to my existing system, I'm receiving error 1101 when attempting to update my play 3, i completely uninstalled the controller from my mac after reading some of the descriptions of that error code. Unfortunately i still get the same error. I'm attempting to send you a diagnostic but get the message "your diagnostic information could not be sent at this time" can you help?
My Sonos system was working fine until Christmas. Since then on the controller my Play 3 keeps dropping off and then coming back again. I have tried moving it. Deleting it and re-adding it. Keeps dropping songs. Play list keeps saying that it cannot find my music and skips songs. Music that is playing on Play 3 on the controller in a Goup with Play 1 (x 2) the whole thing vanishes off the controller and I cannot stop the music unless I switch off the computer. Not a happy bunny at the moment
I have had my Play 1 for 6 weeks and all has been well. However, I now find that the bass sounds very "floppy" and "pops" on the beat. I have tried music and radio all with the same results. I have recalibrated but cannot shift the problem. I submitted a diagnostic under 6991438 in the hope this might help. Does anybody have any advice?
Dear Sonos, Please help! I bought my Sonos surround set 2 weeks ago. I super like Sonos players. I linked Spotify to Sonos and it worked fine. It was working fine until 2 days ago. I tried to play from my Spotify on Sonos. However, there's no sound coming from my Sonos, though, it seems like a song is playing. I lost control on my Sonos completely. It seems to hang the Sonos Controller as well. Please Help!
Hello, My SONOS installation is compound of : - A sonos connect, directly connected to my wired LAN - A SONOS Play 5 which is connected via the SONOS net WIFI Both players are in the same room, at a distance of about 6 meters. Most of the time, when I connect from the SONOS Controler, I can see the room corresponding to the SONOS Connect, but not the one corresponding to the Play 5. If I physically click on the play button, the steam start instantly, with good quality (no lag at all). After I launched it and the stream start, I can see the Paly 5 now appearing in the controller. This is really a pain, cause if I can't manage my players from Mobile before physically accessing them, It'will be difficult to managed multiroom, and I have a plan to enhance my installation with many new players for multiroom. This issue don't look like a WIFI issue, as the stream as qoog quality. It's more like if the player was "Asleep". The only way to wake it up it to physically l
