Android app shows empty queue each time started up
When I start up the Android app it keeps showing the queue screen which is empty. It does this if the room that is playing is showing full screen but not if the playing is minimised and showing the rooms instead - hopefully that makes sense. So if I close the app with the playing showing full screen, it will open full screen the next time and immediately shows the empty queue. If I close the app showing the rooms with the playing part minimised, it doesn’t open the queue screen when I start up the app but as soon as I maximise the playing part of it, it shows the queue screen. There’s nothing in the queue and I just mainly listen to Planet Rock Radio which is still showing in the playing part when I start the app up.The queue has been empty for many months and I’ve not used it for many months apart from having to keep close it when it opens by itself.
Sonos home theatre and stereo listening
I’m thinking of buying a Sonos surround set that has Beam, Sub and two One SLs. My question is can I listen to music on a stereo pair of the SLs and the sub as a group. If so, how easy is it to do this? Tried to search and read all the existing topics but could not fin the answer.
Hi. Does the new Symfonisk Floor Lamp and wi-if speaker work with Beam? And if so, when I give voice command to my Beam to play music will that also make the Symfonisk speakers play music? Or do I have to turn the symfonsik speakers on manually every time I want to play music? Also, what is the quality of the Symfonisk speakers including the sound and the product itself? Thank you.
digital audio issue
Everything was working fine and then suddenly sound issues. Play at connected to TV with digital audio cable. Suddenly it stopped working, after review it’s working but to hear the tv sound has to be up to almost max. Remove tv and play music l, it’s normal nonissue. I check settings and rest and same. I’ve tried Dolby, arc and standard. Same behavior. Check the cable it’s in secure when I pull out of playbar it had the red light any thoughts as to what’s going on?
Technics SA-C600 Network Streaming Receiver with CD Player
Hi,Hopefully you can help me with a couple of questions:Would I be able to connect a Technics SA-C600 Network Streaming Receiver with CD Player to my Sonos system and if so I be able to use this for my turntable (Essential Pro-Ject turnable ,don’t think this turntable has a preamp)? And what Sonos equipment would I need to connect the Technics unit, would it be a Sonos Port? Thanks Kevin
Connecting a Sonos Sub to a NAD preamp: Any help with the config appreciated
I have a preamp. Put in a Sonos Amp connected to two Sonos 5s for surrounds. I have a RCA out for a 2nd sub and want to connect the Sonos Sub to it. I had hoped the Amps sub connect was an in, it is not. Anyone have any ideas on how to connect a sub out to an Amp or Port to get it to the Sub
Beoplay A9 + sonos Connect
Just wanted to share a solution. Had problems regarding the sync between my Sonos Connect, connected with a Beoplay A9, and my other Sonos (arc, Sonas SL). The sound on the A9 came out 1-2 sec later then from the rest. The solution: Open the Bang & Olufsen app Tap the "Settings" icon in the upper-right corner Tap: Settings Tap "Products" Tap your Beoplay A9 4th Gen Tap "Configure" Tap "Sound" Select Line-in and tick "Disable Delay" Note: If the delay is disabled, you cannot distribute sound from the Line-in input in a Beolink Multiroom setup.Everything went in perfect sync after that.
I have bought the Connect:Amp a few years back and, after a short lived connection success, I have not been able to connect anymore despite numerous factory resets of the Connect:Amp, and re-installs of the IOS App.Any clue? Can the Connect:Amp be connected only via mobile phone? Is there any alternative, independent controller that can be shared by the family?Thank you.
opinions sought on whether buying refurbished speakers is good value for the future of a system
I have two ONEs (Gen 1), a Connect:Amp (Gen 2) and a BEAM (Gen 1) and am looking toward developing my Sonos system. If I buy “new” then I can get a 15% discount on each of my existing items and still continue to use these items along with any new Sonos speakers purchased. This discount is not available if one buys refurbished Sonos equipment, but the refurbished equipment is considerably cheaper than buying new.I am thinking of buying two FIVES.If I bought refurbished speakers then am I right in assuming the Sonos upgrade discount would not be offered if I wanted later on to upgrade my Sonos speakers using the refurbished FIVES against the cost of future new equipment. In other words buying refurbished equipment now would neither give me access to any 15% Sonos upgrade discount on the basis of upgrading my existing equipment and nor would I be able to qualify for a future upgrade discount on the basis of the refurbished items being traded. In other words buying refurbished gets a sort
Boost and CR-200
If I add a Boost to my (S1 SonosNet mesh) system that uses a Bridge: Will the Boost increase signal range so that my CR-200 won’t struggle to find the signal. If so, how do I use the Boost? Do I have my system “find” it and then I just plug it in midway between the Bridge and where I use the CR-200?Thanks in advance for your help.
Sonos amp with Infinity Outrigger speakers
I bought a home with four hardwired outdoor speakers that look to be infinity Outrigger Junior speakers from best I can tell. They are wired into a media shelf in the den. The house is 15 years old and I have no idea how old the speakers are. Will one Sonos amp be able to run the speakers. I have looked and could not find anything.I have not bought anything yet, but want to make sure before I do.
Sonos One Updating Forever / Cancel Update
Hey there. My Sonos products are set to update overnight. However, all of my Ones sans one can't be used and marked as "updating" in the app. It's been this way all day. According to this page (https://support.sonos.com/en/article/sonos-led-lights) they should be flashing orange and white. They are not.I've rebooted my router and unplugged the faulty Ones and plugged them back in. No avail. Can I just cancel this update? What's going on here?
W11 refuse to connect to SONOS
What did work perfect in W10 is not the case in W11. I can’t connect to SONOS. This is a HP Notebook and the settings done by my company. Meaning, I have restricted access as administrator. So I can’t change the public to Private network. Any other suggestions able to connect please?
CD Player via Home AV Receiver Using Sonos Connect
Hi, I have an older Sonos Connect that I have used for years to integrate my home audio AV receiver into the Sonos ecosystem so I can enjoy audio through my primary home theatre system. I have the Sonos Connect plugged into CD-R input on my Yamaha receiver. It all works well when I am using a streaming service like Pandora or Amazon Music. What I can’t figure out is how to integrate my CD player from the home theater system into the Sonos ecosystem. If I were to plug the Connect into the back of the CD player (which I actually cannot since this is occupied via line out to the receiver) I would lose the receiver’s usage as the primary sound source for this area. I know I am missing something here. Am I running a line out from the Connect to something? Thanks in advice for any suggestions. Regards, Michael
Surrounds placement - advice please
I recently swapped the Beam in my lounge for an Arc and a Sub, moving the Beam to the smaller family room which, unbeknownst to my wife, was always my secret plan! The sound from the Arc + Sub is amazing - even my wife described it as ‘more soulful’.I have two Play 1 (S2 app compatible) that I am considering adding as surrounds but not sure with the layout of my lounge whether it is worth it.As you can see from the rough drawing, the TV is in the corner with Arc directly below it and Sub in position A. On movie nights all chairs are used, so I was thinking of placing surrounds in position B and C to try and cover all the room. Would that work? Any advice greatly appreciated.
last.fm double scrobble - a fix of sorts
I have used last.fm since 2005 and bought my first Sonos devices in 2012, and I have suffered from the double scrobble problem when using Spotify that has been discussed in question threads for many years. If I remove scrobbling from Sonos but play Spotify through Sonos, no scrobbles are registered. If I have last.fm as a service I get two scrobbles for each track I listen to.I have a fix for this problem. Of sorts. I bought a Sonos Roam, a brilliant little speaker, that has the ability to connect to both my Sonos system via wifi and my mobile device via Bluetooth. So, I connect to the Roam with Bluetooth, control Spotify with my phone, never use the Spotify service in Sonos, and then connect the Roam to my Sonos system and at last, no more double scrobbles.of course a dedicated in-Sonos coded solution software update would be much better, but this works, so I’m happy. Now I just need to get the Beam I received today to talk to my Sony Bravia TV.
