Poor sound quality from ARC + SUB
I recentlly buyed Sonos ARC with SUB and to be honest sound quality can be compared to 150€ home cinema systems. I had before Sony DTR 1080 reciever with DALI SUB and speakers. Comparing to this setup is like day and night. I was expecting much more from SONOS for this amount of money. If there will be no update I’m allready thinking to go to other brand. SONOS please fix this as soon as possible.
Arc sound low when turn tv on
When I turn my TV on the volume is always on low so nothing can be heard, even if it was previously on loud. I have an Sonos Arc connected to an LG TV. This also happens if the tv is paused for a prolonged time, the sound goes back to a minimum. Any idea how I can fix this?
Speaker Postion and adding a new speaker
My tv and Sonos Arc sound bar are in the front right corner of my living room. I use two Sonos Five speakers for my rears. My sitting position is very close to the right rear Sonos Five. The left rear Sonos Five is about 11-12 feet away. I am wondering if I add a Sonos One to the front left (also about 12 feet from my sitting position), would I get more left side sound than what I am currently getting?
Optical out from music server to optical in on Sonos Arc
Before I remove my Sonos Arc and run an optical cable behind the wall, I thought I’d ask here first.Has anyone tried connecting a music server (BlueSound NODE) to their Sonos Arc via optical out from the music server to optical IN on the Sonos Arc? Wondering if that works. Logic says it will, but who knows? Thanks for any responses!
TCL with arc and onesl

Sonos Arc HT, PS4 Pro, Samsung Q90T
I currently have a Sonos HT set (Arc, 2x One SLs, Sub (Gen 3) connected to a PS4 Pro and a Samsung Q90T. So it’s PS4 Pro > Q90T > Sonos Arc HT. I borrowed some Blu-ray DVDs from a local library and noticed that they only have Dolby DTS-HD Master Audio tracks in English. However, I can only get Stereo PCM when playing the movies via the Arc. I tried various combinations via the PS4 Pro “Sound and Screen” menu > Audio Output Settings > Audio Format (Priority) - (Linear PCM or Bitstream (Dolby or DTS)), the Pro’s Blu-ray DVD settings > Audio Format (Linear PCM or Bitstream (Direct)), as well as the Q90T’s Sound > Expert settings - HDMI-eARC mode (Off or Auto) and Digital Output Audio Format (PCM, Auto, Pass-Through) and I can’t get “surround” sound only Stereo 2.0. I researched (lurked) on these forums as well as Reddit for possible solutions, but nothing worked with the various settings I mentioned. Only thing that comes up is possibly getting an audio extractor, but I
Lip Sync Issue Beam 2 +Samsung Smart TV +Direct TV
We got our Beam 2 installed about a month ago. We have Direct TV and a Samsung Smart TV. The lip sync is OK when we’re watching recorded programs or movies using the DVD player. Live TV is almost always off on at least one station, sometimes on all stations. I’ve tried rebooting everything. Sometimes it will improve for awhile, then revert back to being way off. We’ve had the Geek Squad out to the house and they couldn’t resolve the problem. They suggested that we call Direct TV and perhaps get a new Direct TV box. Has anyone else experienced this problem? We’re getting pretty frustrated.
Surround Sound and Loss of Volume Control on Sony TV
HiI have a Sony Bravia TV and a Playbar and sub-mini. I moved two speakers from one room to the TV room as I wanted surround sound. At that moment I lost audio control of my TV remote. What did I mess up? I tried resetting my Playbar. Succeeded. I tried resetting the remote ( the sonos app only asked that I press the + button for setup?). Both attempts appear to work according to the Sonos app, but not Remote audio control.Without using the TV, I get full surround sound. I thought it might be an IR conflict with my Cable TV box, but it worked before. Help.
Sonos Arc dropping off of WiFI
Hi All. Very new to the Sonos world and having a slight issue with my Arc disconnecting from my WIFI every day so I need to unplug it and restart it. (quite frustrating) I have a Sonos Arc and a Sonos 5 setup as separate room’s one for Arc for TV and Alexa and the 5 for my Turntable. The Arc and 5 are 3 feet apart and are both “connected” via WIFI The arc drops from the WIFI causing Alexa not to work and the 5 is fine. Any Ideas??
I have a Sub Mini, 2xOnes and Beam Gen1 - would swapping Beam for a Gen2 make much difference?
As title a - I have the above Sonos speakers in a surround sound setup. Would swapping my Beam Gen1 with a Beam Gen2 make a noticeable improvement?I’m using an LG C8 OLED, with Apple TV 4K connected via Arc as my primary source. Thanks.
Room acoustics not ideal for Sonos Arc - worth adding surround set?
Hi, I have a Sonos Arc since almost a year, and somehow I’m not content with the sound it adds to my LG OLED TV. Already had a nice call with Sonos Service, and according to the very engaged hotline agent, signal formats, connections, update status and settings were just fine. And I tried Trueplay mit various iOS devices and in multiple runs. The sound is rather “thin”, I’m not really feeling that the sound is much better than the built-in speakers of the slim LG TV. Might I be having a faulty unit that I should send in for service repair? Or is this mediocre sound quality “expected behavior” of the Arc? My questions:Room acoustics: The sound is reflected from the Arc on the one side by a wall, whereas in the other direction there is some open space (see images). Plus, I’m sitting quite close to the back wall. Any chance to get better results with the Arc in this arrangement by changing things in the room, or should I rather switch to some other home theater audio system? Upgrade to
Plex Atmos/TrueHD issue LG/Beam Gen 2.
I’ve just bought Beam gen2 so I can stream in the highest audio quality. However, the Plex app on my 2019 Shield seems to be struggling a little. The Dolby Vision logo keeps appearing every so often as if the video has just started although the stream is fine and lag free. This never happened when playing the 5.1 audio stream. Can anyone in a similar position recommend a solution? I’m using an LG B1

Surround Speaker Select
So I’m doing the setup for surround speakers but I just don't understand what the app wants here.It asks me to get Infront of my TV and select the speaker I can hear. But where am I facing? Towards TV or rear speakers?Im selecting as you would face to the tv but it feels the speaker levels are off after TruePlay. So what is meant here? Facing towards TV or towards Speakers? Sorry but this is just confusing and unclear since it changes the whole setup.Maybe I'm overthinking here..
Sonos Arc and Amp with in ceiling as 2 zones playing same sound from TV
I have in ceiling wiring in Kitchen (marked in Yellow) . Red is the TV. Green dots are the in wall wiring ( I do not have to us if not needed)All the wiring is dropped in my media room upstairs. For TV, I have 2 ethernet cables. One for internet and another goes to the media room. I think it is to have a HDMI over Cat6 (or so I think)Can I get a Sonos Arc for the TV. And a Sonos Amp for the in ceiling speakers in the kitchen and play the same sound from the TV in the kitchen (Not as surround rear but as 2 stereo speakers)? The idea is to watch TV and dont have to raise the volume too high to be able to hear in the kitchen. Would there be any lag? How can I connect the AMP to the TV? Will the AMP connect to Sonos Arc? What is the good set up for what I am trying to accomplish?
Sonos Home Theater Setup
Hi - I’m trying to maximize the Sonos home theater experience (to the extent that is possible). One bummer…..wife will not let me install an Arc Soundbar under the TV. So I’m purchasing two invisible Sonance speakers that will hide in the drywall on either side of the TV. After reading many posts on here….this is my plan: Buy 3 sonos ampsFirst Amp will power the two sonance speakers mentioned above to create a phantom center. Since I can’t get an Arc, my hope is that these two speakers will be an adequate substitute for center channel dialogue.Second Amp will power two additional FRONT speakers on the far left and far right of our living room for to expereince the true left and right channelsThird Amp will power two additional speakers on the rear left and rear right of our living room for rear surround sound. Finally I’m adding an Sonos Sub to the set up. Will this work to allow me to experience a 5.1 home theater set up? Or will the first two amps and speakers mentioned abov

Dolby Atmos not working LG OLED55B6P w/Sonos Beam surround sound
Hi all,I have a SONOS surround system for my living room that works great and recently purchased a surround sound system for the basement (Beam Gen 2, two One SL’s and Sub Mini), but I’m not able to get Dolby Atmos working via my PS5 on my LG OLED55B6P.I know there’s some tricks to get Dolby Atmos working on the PS5 and I’ve followed those settings. This are the setting I’m using on the TV while having HDMI connected to the HDMI 2/Arc port to my Sonos Beam.Sound Out → Audio Out (Optical/HDMI Arc)All Settings → Sound → Sound Out → Audio Out (checked)In a sub bullet of the Audio Out I have Digital Sound Out set to Auto and SIMPLINK set to On.Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Can I convert RCA output from projector to HDMI ARC for ARC soundbar
My golf simulator projector, an Epson 1080, has only a single prong audio out. If the projector RCA out is converted to HDMI, will that converted output work in an ARC soundbar? Is there another workaround to get audio to the soundbar?
I totally agree with Commander B re: how ridiculus the the feet look when mounted!
We pay EXTRA to mount the ARC on the wall and it looks ridiculous when seated. More importantly, not knowing I’d see them, I measured its height from the table to insure the Arc would be centered between the TV and fireplace and because the feet add height, it was NOT centered! Being a type A person, I removed, filled all the holes and had re-drill and remount. This isn’t right.
No Dolby Atmos from Sony UBP x700 Blu Ray player
I have no problem getting Dolby Atmos from My fire stick Max connected directly to a EDID switch (4 in 2 out). I have set the Blu Ray player to output Dolby Atmos and the Blu ray Player display/audio menu confirms true HD/ Dolby Atmos tracks are playing but I can get no better than A Dolby Digital 5.1 audio on SONOS Arc. The Blu Ray player is plugged in directly beside the fire stick Max on my EDID switch and is connected with a 48GB HDMI cable. Does any one know where my bottleneck may be?
