Hi All, I had a stereo pair of Sonos One speakers in my office at home. I recently bought a couple of One SL speakers and split the Office pair to create two new pairs - Office and Kitchen. I completely factory reset the speaker that remained in the office before pairing it with the new SL. The Kitchen one was moved, renamed and added to a pair with the SL in that room. However, every time I use the pair in the kitchen it automatically puts itself in a group with the office speakers which is a little annoying (especially when I’m on a conference call with my boss in the office and my wife decides to play AC/DC in the kitchen!). The controller and speaker firmawares are all up to date… Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks, Mike
Hello My system is having issues with Spotify. My play Play:5 speaker drops the sound for a few seconds now and then. The song is still playing through the connect in another room. Browsing through the forums i changed the connection so it is now wired to the router. It is only spotify that has this problem, live streaming through tune-in or Sveriges Radio or any other service works fine Diagnostic number 1644780579
We had a power outage the other day, and ever since we’ve been unable to stream SiriusXM (all of our other streaming services work fine). Sometimes we get this error message: “Unable to connect to SiriusXM” And sometimes the music starts to play, but then it stops and we get the following message: “Unable to play…..song is not encoded properly” I submitted a diagnostic report already. The confirmation number is 1093697395. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Sonos community i had trouble setting my new sonos system so i thought i would share my experience so other wont do the same. So this is the problem: You have your brand new sonos system, try to set it up. Everything works fine until you have to enter your wifi password. The app tell you the wifi password is wrong but your are god dam sure you have the right password. I have try a lot of things that i found in that forum but the solution was very simple. Sonos does not support 802.11n wifi. How to deal with this ? You will have to go to your router setting, go to your wireless setting and check the wireless mode. If it is in 11n only there is your problem ! You will have to change it to anything elese (i recommend 11bgn mixed). After that you will have to factory reste your sonos device (google that), Reset your sonos app and start all over again.
Hi, Over the last few months my sonos setup has consistently been unable to play the first track of a play list or album, an error stating the connection to Spotify was lost is shown and it then skips to the second track which then play fine. Although this second track will stop playing at the 6 second mark for approximately one second before resuming. I've been out of the house for several weeks and now find Spotify does not connect at all and states the same error for every track in the play list as it attempts to play each. Audible and amazon music work fine consistently. Your confirmation number is: 451778298. Does the above diagnostic report shed some light on why Spotify is now totally unavailable?
We recently upgraded our AT&T router to improve bandwidth (50 to 75 Mbps). Since then my AirPlay 2 connectivity has been very spotty. When I unplug/plug the router, AirPlay 2 works for ~4 hours from all sources, including iPhone, iPad and Mac Mini. After this, it no longer connects. When I unplug/plug the router, it works again. No problems with connectivity using the Sonos app and we did not have any problems with the previous router. I’ve logged into the router and don’t see any obvious issues. Anyone have any ideas? Thx. (More info…. I have 2 Sonos Ones in my home office set up in stereo, a Beam, a Sub, and 2 IKEA speakers as surrounds. Not using a bridge. Router is model BGW210-700)
Let me start by saying this right up front: I have a sonos system thats been sitting in the closet for at least two years, because I got so sick and tired of dealing with the headaches. I went out and bought a couple of good Bluetooth speakers, and have really had no regrets. They have none of the limitations and technical issues that his Sonos system has. Those limitations led me to think “what is the point of this whole system“? I did think that many of the problems may have related to my Wi-Fi system at the time and signal interference problems with Sonos. I sense have replaced my Wi-Fi system with a much improved system(eero) and thought perhaps the Sonos would work better now. I reconnected the system. I downloaded the app to my iPad. The system was recognized by the controller. However, when I went to play music, it became evident that the system is not connecting with my music. Sound files are showing up in my music library, although it does not show recently added file
Dear all, My sonos system (beam, sub, 2x one) keeps disconnecting. If I come home I cannot connect. I have to reset the router to be able to do anything. More often than not if I play music, it will skip or disconnect entirely. You have any solution available? Diag number is: 1669135731. Thanks!
I posted this over on the Nvidia forums but am going to post here as well in hopes of getting an answer. So I've read a ton of topics posted about this but none describe my exact issue and I'm at my wits end with this one. I recently purchased a Sonos Playbase, as well as left and right surrounds composed of two Sonos One SLs. I had been having trouble getting 5.1 surround sound output to my speakers from any of my devices. I have a PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Nvidia Shield TV. When I would play a show or movie on Netflix on my Shield TV or PS4, Netflix would not even display the option to output 5.1 audio. All of my devices were hooked up to my TV, and then the TV was hooked up via optical to the Sonos. The Playbase only has an optical input. I learned that my TV cannot pass through 5.1 audio (it is fairly old.) So I purchased an audio splitter so that I could get the audio from my devices to my Sonos system before it passed through the TV. This fixed the issue on my PS4: I can now ou
I’m experiencing an issue when playing iHeart radio on my Sonos 5. For every 10 mins of play time the station cuts out intermittently for about 10 seconds. I am not experiencing this issue on my other Sonos devices, both when grouped with the Sonos 5 and when played independently. The issue only occurs when playing iHeart stations; the issue does not happen when streaming from Amazon, Pandora, etc. I have rebooted my router. I have rebooted my Sonos devices. I have deleted the app and reinstalled. Please help.
Cannot set up surround sound (sub +2xOneSL). Called into customer service and he explained it is a known issue that Sonos does not work with Ruckus. He first suggested running Ethernet to one of the OneSL’s. Not possible. Can I run it to the Sub instead? Then He suggested resetting Ruckus to unicast from multicast and enabling VGN. It’s all Greek to me. Wanted to see if anyone can confirm this before I invest in a technician coming to get this done. BTW the Beam is hooked up and working perfectly.
I have a Beam connected to two Play Ones and a Sub. I’ve noticed the Play Ones and Sub are offline when watching TV and I can’t figure out how to get them working again. The problem is not network related, nor is it to due with audio limitations in the TV content. I think I’ve found a pattern, whereby the problem occurs when I have listened to music prior to trying to watch TV. It is as though the music is silently still in the queue and is blocking sound from the TV. That’s my layman’s theory anyway. Any feedback on whether this or something else might be the problem as well as advice on how to resolve would be greatly appreciated.
Hi team I bought a Symfonisk to upgrade my Play:5 (1st gen) and Play:1 to Airplay2 and use them in the living room to stream sound from the Apple TV. It sometimes works, most of the time it keeps cutting and disconnecting even though the Sonos App says that to still playing via the speaker. This is the diagnostics report ID: 1134917412 Thanks for your help! Anton
Hello there Have been using Sonos products for years now. I have 2 play ones (older generation) and a PlayBase for TV surround system I also have 2 play fives (older generation) used in an entertainment area. Have always been very happy with my purchases…..until recently! About 2 months ago I took the plunge and also brought myself the new Sonos Move speaker (which was quite a bit of money to outlay!) . The main reason I wanted the Move was so I could enable Airplay2 on the Move speaker and then believed (as advertised by Sonos) I could then group my older Non Airplay2 compatible speakers to my new Move speaker, and I then “supposedly” have Airplay2 on all of the grouped speakers. …………...So much for that idea! I even coughed up more money again again to replace my old Sonos Bridge with a new Sonos Boost, hoping that the new Boost would help with the problems I’m having . Now after spending very close to $800 Australian Dollars! I have a system that doesn’t perf
Hi, My Sonos speaker has stopped playing radio stations, I ask Alexa to play a radio station which she repeats but no music plays. I can start the station from the app and it plays ok and I’ve unregistered Alexa voice app and the added but still not working. Do you know how to fix this?

I have a new Symfonisk that I wanted to join to an existing group (1x SONOS:1, 1x Connect). I initially had trouble setting it up via wifi. I connected it to the router via ethernet cable and it is now visible on the SONOS controller app. However, I can’t join to the group of SONOS:1 and Connect. It plays fine by itself. But no matter what order I try the GROUP function it doesn’t work. Not on Mac, not on iPhone. What am I missing here? All three show up in ROOMS, but the GROUP function works neither individually with the SONOS1 or Connect, nor with an existing GROUP of SONOS:1 and Connect. I would be willing to start from scratch on the Symfonisk. How do I reinitialize it to do that?
