I currently do not own any sono’s products, but am looking to invest in some. Here is my situation/set up. I just got a new Rega Planar 1 Plus turntable (with built in phono stage), and want to get some speakers for it.I have a fire place with book shelves on both sides. My turntable is on the right side, and I would like to get a set of speakers so I have one speaker on the left side of the fireplace and one on the right side of the fire place - so...I need 2 speakers that do not have to physically connect to one another. Both speakers can be physically plugged into the wall no problem (I have an outlet on both sides of the fireplace) but I need speakers that will sync/”talk to each other” without being physically connected. Does Sonos have any speaker sets like this? My turntable is not bluetooth enabled, so one of the speakers would have to connect directly to my turntable, and then “talk to” the other speaker not connected to the turntable. Is this possible with Sonos as well?
Hello, I’m looking for a way to lock my Apple Music account with a password so no one else on the Sonos account can use it. The issue isn’t people on the account but people on my personal Apple Music. Is there a way to password protect personal music streaming accounts?
Hello Community, I need help! I currently have a Sonos playbase which we absolutely love. Our house has 2 X YAMAHA 6" IN-CEILING SPEAKERS PAIR - NS-IC600 in the living room and outdoor alfresco. I want to buy an amp to start using the speakers but have no idea where to start. Do I need to buy a Sonos amp to connect the playbase and will the Yamaha speakers be compatible with it. I'm also not sure how I split the audio between the areas... Would you need a seperate amp for each space is there some form of splitter? Any help would be much appreciated!
HiI have yet to find an elegant way of getting podcasts onto my sonos system. My latest attempt is to stream from my android device but Sonos seems to require that the podcasts are stored in a specific folder. But no podcast apps on android seem to use that folder to store the actual podcast file. So again I am struggling to find a way of getting this to work.I tried linking my sonos account to my pocketcasts account but that never seems to refresh the subscribed podcast list. Why is it seemingly so difficult to get podcasts on sonos?
I want to trade in a ZP90 but it doesn’t appear in my online account (it used to but no longer does after I upgraded to the new S2 controller)Sonos chat support are unable to help and said I need to call the sales team who can assist, but I have been on hold for over an hour, on two separate occasions, unable to speak to anyone.Does anyone here know how I can get reliably get in touch with the sales team? Or if there is some way I can get the ZP90 to show up in my online account such that I can trade it in? Many thanks in advance for your input :)
We just bought a house. We have an arc, move and multiple ones through the house that work great with the sonos app (I use apple music through the app to play music). We have an outdoor area that has mulitple speakers that came with the house and a receiver that’s super old (no blue tooth, etc). We can turn on the reciever and play radio stations through the outdoor speakers, they work! :-) If we want to leverage the existing outdoor speakers - can we buy a sonos reciever - Port or Amp? and use that to connect the non-sonos speakers? The receiver today is outdoors under a tiki roof -- not protected super well from elements. if we spend the money for the port or amp - will it allow to control/coordiante all speakers/sound? Is there a cheaper option to accomplish full connection with a unit that is less expensive since it will be outside? Thanks!!!!
Recently the TV volume output of my Arc + Surrounds has been way higher than my TV's volume control bar would indicate. It is such that when my TV volume is set to '1', it is actually pretty loud. Turning my TV one step down to '0' mutes the TV entirely. My TV volume goes up to 100. So now my TV goes from Mute to Loud to Very Loud to Apocalypse Loud. This is a recent issue and I don't know what has changed. In the past I used to set my TV volume between 10-13 for casual watching, and 15-20 when I wanted loud audio. Occasionally when I really wanted to piss off my neighbours or impress my friends, I'd crank it to 20-25. My Music and TV Surrounds are set to 0. My volume limitter is off. I just want the TV output bar to better reflect the volume, and give me a some wiggle room on the low level. Is there a way to calibrate this? Perhaps related- my turntable & Port audio has also been a lot LOWER recently.
We have a new Sonos Beam (Gen 2) hooked up to our Samsung Smart TV. It works fine, but it makes a noise that sounds like a DVD player when a disc loads, kind if that spinning, wind-up sound. This happens when nothing is even playing (TV or music), as well as when when Pandora or my music library is changing songs. Is that normal? It’s kind of bothersome. Something I’ve thought about is that I THINK this happens mainly when I’m casting from my laptop to the TV. Also when I’m playing my music library, which actually comes from my laptop. Is that possible, and if so, is that to be expected?
Hello there everyone About two years ago a wonderful relative of mine bought me a Sonos One (the one with the voice assistant built-in). I’ve absolutely loved it, especially as being a student I’ve moved to a bunch of different places in the meantime. Its small size and wifi functionality makes it easy to move around. I also have an ear condition which makes using earphones and headphones for longer than an hour extremely painful, so having a great quality speaker I can play from my Mac/iPad/iPhone and really enjoy my music has been a joy.But I’m wondering what the logical next step is in this setup. I don’t have a high income of course as a student, so what would be the best Sonos product to get to take listening to music to the next level? Would it be simply another Sonos One to go for a ‘stereo’ setup? Or is it better to just try and save up and scrape together the money for maybe a Sonos Five? I was tempted by the Sonos Beam as I do watch TV/game and obviously using headphones for
HP Pavillion Windows 10 Laptop will not play audio when connected to LG Smart TV with HDMI cable with Sonos beam connected to HDMI2 ARC
My HP Pavillion Laptop will not play audio through the HDMI cable to the LG OLED TV since we connected the Sonos beam to HDMI ARC. Video is unaffected. Audio will play very briefly and stop. We used to use a different sound bar that worked perfectly well but it was connected through HDMI and optical. Can anyone help? Thanks!
I have two Sonos Roam speakers for my office and it's always just one speaker that will randomly stop the music and start back up a random amount of time later. I would have them either studio paired or just playing the same station on both speakers within like 15 feet of each other. Does anyone know why this would happen?
This is just feedback to Sonos.I don’t really like having to reset my router every time the Sonos app can’t find my Sonos system, whcih is becoming more frequent. Everything in my house is connected to the router, so resetting it is not ideal. I am sure there is a technical reason for needing to do this, but your users don’t care about that. All they see is that it is becoming increasing onerous to own and operate a fairly expensive sound system. From a marketing standpoint this might be a problem for you.I’ve had a Sonos system for 12 years. For the first time I am beginning to think that it isn’t really worth it.
My Sonos app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e gives the error, ‘To group, make sure Kitchen is connected to WiFi and is set up on this system” when I try to add or select one of my other 3 Sonos speakers. I can select any combination of my speakers from my PC or Galaxy S10 phone. If I select one speaker from my PC, that is the speaker that my Tab S5e will get stuck on, with the above message. I’ve tried restarting my tablet and the one Echo Dot in the network.
im not sure what has happened, I am still using the s1 app but three of my speakers now say they are incompatible and they worked fine before, I am trying to down grade which has worked on one of them but not on the other two, but even the one that is downgraded will not let me add it back into the sonos 1 app as its saying its needs to update first and it cant update because of a problem with the boost and one of the other speakers, this is all way beyond me
Hello, we are having problems connecting our new SONOS Beam Gen 2 to the Google home network and having the Sonos speaker as an option to connect with Google speakers throughout the house. second issue is when we talk to the Sonos speaker to play music it responses with cannot play because the speaker isn’t available.
