I can't add Google Assistant to Sonos Beam anymore. I encountered an issue with Google Assistant on Sonos Beam, thus unlinked it in Google Assistant App. I tried to add it again via Sonos App, but Google Assistant App keeps saying No Devices Found. Yet after that, under the tab Home in the Google Assistant App, I can see Sonos in there and it says it is linked, but it does not work, nor does it show up under Assistant Devices
I created a couple of daily alarms on my Sonos One with Google Assistant. These alarms are no longer needed and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to cancel them. They do not show up in the Google Home app so I can cancel as I would an alarm created on a Google Nest. Issuing a command to “cancel” or “delete” this alarm on the Sonos One stops the alarm but does not permanently delete it. I’ve gone around with Google support. They couldn’t figure it out and punted me to Sonos support. Help!
Hello, I have a Sonos Beam and use the Google Assistant. Sometimes I like to set an alarm using the assistant, for instance “google, wake me up at 0730”. When the alarm goes off, I feel like I want an extra 10mins, so I say “google, snooze alarm”. The assistant happily says “sure, snooze for 10mins” but the alarm is still going and you cant turn it off without having to tell the assistant to turn the alarm off altogether, which then the snooze is now a waste of time :) Is there a way to actually get the assistant to snooze and stop the alarm until the 10mins is up?
I have several question: I have 2 Sonos One in my room, can I use only one for assistant? I mean, can both devices activate mic and the one, which better get results answer me? If I say: Google, play nature sounds, the sound comes only from one speaker, but I have a stereo pair. How can I fix it? Can I adjust voice level of assistant? I want it to answer me quite while I'm asking for the time during night time. If I say: Google, Good night, it asks for the alarm first and then set the forest sound. Can I adjust it that Google won't ask for alarm and play forest sounds directly? Can I use speakers to control MiHome devices and other devices related to assistant in the apartment?
I am currently experiencing this problem as well… All i want my sonos to do is to play the music and listen to the news through GA.. THAT IS ALL I WANT.. IT WORKED PERFECTLY FOR THE FIRST HALF A YEAR AND IT SUDDENLY JUST KEEPS CUTTING OFF HALFWAY.. ALL I WANT TO DO IS TO LISTEN TO THE NEWS EVERY MORNING….. I am honestly very frustrated… For the longest time i thought that maybe they were just playing the snippets of the news? I factory reset the device twice and tried connecting to 2 different google accounts, re added the google assistant. I thought it might be a problem with my wifi, which was exactly the same set up as it was the whole 6months. I plugged in the ethernet cable, nope still the same thing. “Here is the latest news” 10 seconds later “That’s all for now” If i am lucky i can maybe listen to 15 seconds of the news right after that.. or maybe abit 20 seconds if i am extremely lucky… There is no way the news ended then because HE WAS TALKING HALF WAY AND IF I USED G
Until recently then when I toggled the microphone touch switch on my Move I heard a message “your microphone has been turned …..” (the light does toggle , the assistant does not respond either) this has for no apparent reason stopped some weeks ago I have two Moves and on the other one it still works and so does google assistant I have send a diagnostic #1844755959 it may have occurred after the moves have been stereo paired
Hi, When using my Sonos One Google Assistant to listen to news and the days events ("Hey Google, Good morning") the volume increases significantly and cannot be adjusted. I have tried to turn down the volume using the app and physically on the Sonos One device but it continues to play at an extremely loud volume. This never used to occur, it had only started in the last month or so however Google assistant is now unusable as it is too loud. I have submitted a diagnostic, number: 116898252
Has anyone configured the Sonos One SL to play Visitor Announcements from the Google Nest Hello doorbell? I wasn’t entirely sure if this should work or not. I know there’s not voice control on the actual SL device but I thought maybe linking the services on the app would allow for announcements. I haven’t been able to get it to work.
Is there a way to use the google assistant from an LG CX through the Sonos Arc’s google assistant without having to press the voice button on the LG CX remote so I can do things like tell google to play a specific music video on YouTube (since the Sonos Arc google assistant doesn’t support playing video but the TV’s google assistant does as it uses the internal YouTube app)?
As those of you who have tried Alexa know, Alexa can check and read your Gmail when you say “Alexa, check email”, but Google Home and other Google Assistant speakers just respond “Sorry, I can’t help with email yet”.But try asking GA on Sonos. It responds “No matching emails found in Gmail”.Uh, what? Is it actually trying to check Gmail? If so, what account? Emails matching what? Does it only read emails from Sonos?
Hi Firstly I have 2 Sonos systems, home and office, I want to use a google nest mini (new google home mini) To control a single Sonos speaker (kids bedroom) and another for the other bedroom but I’m struggling to get the first one working. Phone is IPhone and Sonos is upto date I’ve downloaded google assistant and google home and set these up ive added the voice service in settings of Sonos which Shows the speakers in google home app My problem is when linking google to Sonos it recognises I have 2 systems and asks me which one I want to select, I select hone which has 4 speakers. I went into google hone and I think linked the google home to the Sonos speaker but it shows speakers in other rooms When I ask google to play Sonos in Mia’s bedroom the response I get is ‘To get help with that, you need to give me some more information in the Google Home App’ im not sure what I’ve done wrong, can anyone offer advice? ive added some pictures to help thank
Hello. This last month, I've noticed that the voice light is turned off so I try and switch the assistant back on but it's fully disabled. Load up the app and I can see there is no service assigned. I did have Google assistant assigned, both times this has happened. First time it happened, simply adding the service in the app worked perfectly but tonight I tried but the assistant app couldn't find the product. Rebooted the phone and beam, still same issue. Even connected up via a network cable thinking it could be an issue with my wireless AP. The ultimate fix was to reset the beam, which has lost true play settings and just a bit annoying, even though adding the beam back to the controller was easy. Has anyone had this issue and if so is there a way to stop this from happening? Cheers.
Hi everyone,I recently bought a Sonos Arc, my very first Sonos purchase, and am very happy with it. The only problem I’m having is with using Google Assistant to turn my tv on and off. The Arc is placed directly in front of the Sony 2015 Android TV and I’m using the IR repeaters. I’ve set up the Sonos Arc TV Control in Google Home.I ask Google to switch off the tv and it works most of the time. Turning it back on via Google doesn’t seem to work consistently. Also, when I ask Google to switch off the TV, the Arc is set to mute. The other thing I’m noticing is that the Arc appears to be switching off the tv completely and not putting it on standby so I’m having to wait for the TV to boot up when it turns on.I’m a bit confused by how all of this is supposed to work and how I should be setting up and what I should. If anyone can give me some advice or directions, that would be much appreciated.Thanks.
Hi community, I have a sonos group including a beam in the living room, and a pair of ones in the (open) ktichen. Both of the ‘groups’ are set with Google assitant, but they reply to all of my commands simultaneously as well. Can’t I set the sonos speaker which is closest to respond? Regards, Rob
Hi all, I recently bought the Sonos arc + sonos one (gen 2). Just added the sonos 1 to play as a rear speaker and want to play together but right now its just either or.. Anyone know how to have the choice thru Google asst to play all? Cheers 👍
I cannot reliably use my Sonos for voice alarms with Google Assistant. I had hoped the S2 update would fix it, but it has not. If I set an alarm by voice for 8:30 AM, it acknowledges, but sets it for: -either- “You have set an alarm for 1:30 PM snoozed until 8:30 AM tomorrow.” -or- “You have set an alarm for 8:30 AM snoozed until 3:30 AM tomorrow.” Clearly this is a time zone issue. Since I am in CDT, the offset from UTC is 5 hours. If the alarm is set to the second option, then I don’t get my morning alarm, and am instead woken up at 3:30 AM the next night. If I set the alarm for 8:30 AM for weekdays, which alarm I get on a particular day is random.
Can I record output from the Sonos microphone to test/playback. I am having trouble getting the Sonos to hear me as I'm having too shout for it to even recognise I am saying something and even then it will not understand what I am saying. Google assistant has no trouble on my iPhone so I assume its not my voice thats the problem?
