Google Assistant works fine on Sonos 1 if my phone is out of the room.
If my phone is in my pocket and I'm in front of the speaker and say, "hey Google, turn up the volume". It turns up my phone instead of the speaker even though the speaker beeps in response to the hey Google.
Usually the nearest listening assistant device will pickup the voice instruction - if you include the speaker name in the syntax, eg: "Hey Google, set the volume to 30% on nSonos Device Name]” it should not matter which device hears the instruction.
