I can start playing music or a podcast with Google assistant but one it starts playing no more reaction (funnily yesterday everything worked just fine). I tried all steps suggested - unlinking on both sides (i.e. sonos and google assistant), but can't resolve the issues. Can you please help? Thanks
Hi, my wife bought me a set of Sonos Ones to integrate with our Google Home environment to replace some of their speakers with something with better quality. I’m trying to use them in a multiroom setup and placed one in the Living Room and one in the Den (used the room names from Sonos). When I installed Google Assistant it works fine on one, but the other one just says “Sorry, there was a glitch” EVERY SINGLE TIME I TALK TO IT.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the assistant, assigning the speakers to my wife’s google account, deleting and readding the speaker multiple times, and a bunch of other stuff. Can someone help? This is INFURIATING why a $30 speaker works flawlessly and my $400 set of speakers with advertised Google compatibility flat out doesn’t.
I have a variety of Sonos groups set up in the Sonos platform. I can use the Google assistant to control the music in any one room but I’m looking for a way to use Google assistant to control more than one room at a time via the Sonos groups. If you figured out a way to do this, I’d love to hear.
Hi All Recently I enable google assistant continued conversation on all my SONOS devices. The Sonos ONE is working as expected with continued conversation however I noticed that the ARC does not work for this. Is this feature currently supported on the SONOS ARC?
I have a new Sonos One running Google Assistant. Every time I want to play Spotify or any other service I have in the Sonos app, I have to go into the Google Home app, select the Sonos and “reconnect account”. Ok Google commands work without doing this, answers questions, turns lights on and off etc. It’s just playing music or any other service that is in the Sonos app that I need to do this. How do I make the Sonos app stay connected in the Google app?
When are you going to support apple music on Sonos one via google assistant?how hard can it be?I have a google home speaker that now supports Apple, google assistant app supports Apple. I use Apple Music on all my Sonos speakers via the Sonos app.what is the timeline for rectifying this?
Ok.Bought my Move about 8 months ago. Sounds great. Set it up and it worked perfectly with both Google Assistant and my YouTube Music Premium (so I could say, Ok Google, Play X and it work). Everything was amazing. Then about a month ago, my Sonos was unresponsive (couldn’t connect to my network no matter what I did). So did a full reset so I could set it up as ‘new’ again. Since then, while the Move is back online and some of the services work, like:YouTube Music Premium - works from the appRelisten - works from the appSonos Radio - works from the appThere are now issues I can’t resolve. My SiriusXM Canada - does not work from the app anymore. Gives me an error in the app when I try to access a ‘channel’. Says, “Unable to play X - the connection to SiriusXM Canada was lost’ or when I try to view my favourites, it says, “Sorry, something went wrong, Please try again.” Ha - funny. As I typed this, tested this, it now shows a bar at the top of the app that says, “SiriusXM Canada is exp
Having jumped into the infuriating and exhilarating world of smart living/iot etc (yes, I have no life) slightly late, I have set up GA on my iPad (and I have the clumps of hair in my hand to prove it). I think I have it now: my Play:5s (Gen2) will never have voice assistant like my Beam but with an iPad and GA, or with one of Google’s speaker mics, I can control the speakers all the same, with voice. I assume there is no way to control the usual Sonos parameters through the Google Assistant app using gestures, ie with my finger? I can do this with Hue compat lights etc. but the Sonos speakers do not have any control (except the Beam which has on off for the linked TV). Yeah, I know the Sonos app is right next to GA, but it still would be nice to simplify these tasks, given that was the idea, I gather, with smart devices. Yorkey Thanks
Buongiorno,ho appena acquistato una Sonos Beam in modo da poter integrare l’assistente Google alla mia Sonos.Riesco perfettamente a fare l’installazione.
Hi all,I have an Arc, a Sub, and two Play:3's as surrounds. I noticed that when asking Google Assistant on the Arc to play a song (from YouTube Music, in this case), its response cuts off the first few seconds of the song. However, when asking the assistant to play a song on a Google device, such as Google Nest Mini, it finishes its response and the song plays afterward without the beginning being cut off.Just in case anyone else may have experienced this scenario also, I spoke with a senior Sonos engineer last week who said he would submit this as a feature request, so maybe a future update will address this.Ultimately, this is nothing more than a very minor inconvenience, but it would be nice to be able to hear a song in its entirety without interruption when requesting it through Google Assistant.
Hi - wonder if someone can give me a pointer.I’ve got 4 sonos units working on the new S2 system, all hooked up to Alexa and working fine.I thought I might be able to use my old Play:5 which is on a standalone S1 controller with a Google Nest Mini. Whilst I’ve enabled Google Assistant on it Google Home doesn’t see it (all the others show up). Searching for devices doesn’t help.Am I just trying to do something that isn’t possible? Thanks
I have a Sony TV that has been connected to Google Home. Just added a Beam surround system to the TV using the HDMI-ARC cable. In the Google Home menu, the TV is listed, the Sonos system is now listed, and a new device is listed that is the TV linked to Sonos (the device has a much longer name). Is there a way to link the existing TV to Sonos and delete the new device? Thanks for your help.
I'd like to know why my Sonos devices only play the requested song when I request a specific song with a voice command and via You Tube Music, but when I make the exact same request on my Google Nest or Polk Assist speaker they play the requested song and then continue with other various songs that Google thinks I might like. I would expect the same Google behavior across various Google devices.
Hi, appreciate any help or ideas on this one. Are there any known limits in regards to the Google or Alexa voice assistant commands available on a Sonos One?Sonos One with Google Voice Assistant cannot seem to handle many of the commands that a Google Home Mini sitting right next to it can. Examples include home automation commands like “turn on my lights” or routines I would want to run by name. Google Assistant on Sonos will inform me that “that device is not set up yet but can be on Google Home. etc.” where again, a Google device has no issues.Known issues here or additional configurations that I can make?Thank you for any ideas.Sam
I have a Symfonisk from Ikea, i read that it supports google assistant. I was under the impression that it basically was a google home device, but starting to realize that’s not the case and you still need a google another device with google assistant/home to be able to control it with voice. First i thought that’s kind of misleading, because that’s not how i interpret anything that says it supports google assistant to work. Now what i can’t figure out is after i add the google assistant in the app, i don’t see google assistant in that section of the app, although below it i see my spotify which i added in the music services. It just has the + add a voice assistant there. However, i do see the device in my google home app. Is this normal?
I have read through the community and tried multiple things, but no luck so fare with paring Sonos One to Google Assistant. I have tried with both iPhone and iPad. The process stops once the Sonos App “calls” the Google Assistant app and i have chosen “Next” - “This may take a minute or two” after a few minutes the Google Assistant app just returns this error: “There may be a problem”I have tried the following: Deleted the sonos app. Deleted the Google Assistant app. I have reset the Sonos One speaker and added it to the system again.Still no luck.
I recently changed routers which required me to re-set up the Sonos speakers with Google Assistant. When I go to the Sonos app and select Add a Voice Assistant, the first thing it does it force me to do a system update. It finds an update and requires me to update. I keep getting an update problem - error 30. This is related to an unsported speaker on the system that we are still controlling with the one Sonos S1 app. How do I get sonos to ignore this speaker as part of the update so that I can add Google Assistant? Thanks!
I have a Beam and two One SL in a surround setup in my living room, and I’m considering adding a One for my kitchen which is in the other part of my apartment. My question is if I will be able to use Google Assistant in the One as well, or can Sonos only handle one microphone in a setup, even though the microphones are in different rooms?
I am trying to find out if there is a way I can get Google assistant to work in a country not available yet?I am in the Cayman Islands and we should fall under UK or US settings but Sonos does not group us that way. Is there any way I can get it to work as the assistant works on all my other devices except Sonos. Thanks
