Really annoying that Apple Music doesn’t show up as one of the options to choose when being asked to choose music service in google Assistent. Only YouTube Music and Spotify are to be chosen. I don’t use neither of those. When is this going to be adjusted? I’m very disappointed that Sonos have these shortcomings.
Hi,I cannot add Google Assistant to my Sonos. I have one beam and two one setup as surround system. So far I have tried resetting all sonos and try to add google when only one unit was enable, tried different sonos and google assistant account, tried adding google sonos from different IOs devices but every single time when sonos switches over to google assistant I get error message that they might a problem….
One of my favorite features of my Google Home was that after asking it to play a song, it would continue playing similar music after the song finished (in other words, it would start a radio based on the song). When I ask my new Sonos Beam to play a song, it goes silent after playing the one song. Is there any way to get it to do the same thing Google Home does? I can't seem to find anything in the settings...
On my Sonos One Gen2, when I set an alarm, google says it is setting the alarm for the time I specified. Then I ask her what time it is set for, and the answer is 3 hours later than I said, and snoozed to the correct time that I requested for the alarm. Google answers the time and time zone queries correctly. I can find no setting to correct this. Thanks for the help.
I've had Sonos for a few years now, always a Sonos Beam in my living room and a Sonos One in my bedroom, with Google assistant added. And I've always had the ability to say "Ok Google, play Duo mix on Spotify" and the Sonos that heard me, would play without any issue. But recently, both my living room and bedroom sonos' are insisting I declare which Sonos I want the music to play in. If I don't say "in my bedroom" it won't play and I have to start the voice command over. It's a small detail that is a bit annoying. If I'm 3 feet away from the bedroom sonos', you're obviously the one I want music to play on, the living room sonos didn't hear me or activate to listening mode. Why did this change, and is there a way to change it back?
Hi, My google home no longer recognizes my S1 sonos products (eg Connect:Amp). In google home I click on the “+” icon (upper left) and select “Set up device” and then “Works with Google”. Under the list of “Linked services” I do not see sonos. I then click on the search icon any type in sonos and click on the sonos icon. A pop up message indicating “Linking your sonos account” appears briefly and then the “Set up a device” screen appears. When I click on “Works with Google” again, Sonos does not appear in the linked services list. All of my software is updated. I do not see where I can unlink my sonos account from google home. I though unlinking and then relinking would help.Thank you in advance.
Hi… I‘ve had a Roam for awhile now and it has worked great. I had it set up with Alexa. I keep it sitting on the Sonos charging pad. When I’m using it, it’s usually off the pad. When finished, l leave it off the pad. It goes to sleep in about 30 minutes. And it stays in sleep mode until I’m ready to use it again.A few days ago I set it up to use Google Assistant. Everything seemed fine. But now I’m noticing when I leave it off the charger and it goes to sleep, it will wake itself up (status lights go on). I didn’t do anything. It will go back to sleep after 10 for so minutes, but it seems to come on again by itself at some point. Over the course of a day, I think this is happening over and over, and this behavior is causing the battery to drain. To test, I kept the Roam next to me (not on charger) while I worked. It went to sleep. But about 30-45 minutes later, I heard a Sonos One (with Google Assistant) I also have in the room beep on it’s own (not because it heard the wake phrase… I
Hi EveryoneDoes anyone know if there is a way to turn off the lower volume when listening function for assistant on Arc?I’ve followed the instructions but it seems to only be available for google made speakers? It’s a bit annoying when I’m watching something and the assistant is triggered by dialogue from a movie, I’ve lowered the google sensitivity but can’t seem to find any setting to turn off the lower volume when listening function.Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Why the heck when I say "Google Play daughter by Pearl jam" does Google Play daughter_instant_Karma??? Is this a sick joke by Sonos or Google? I just about jumped out of the shower and beat that POS into pieces after half a dozen failed attempts all ending in Google playing the wrong song. This is just the latest example of GA being unable to actually pick the song I literally asked for. Wtf
So having stopped UK listeners accessing radio stations from abroad, the ongoing legal wrangle for TuneIn now means it’s dropping access to internet radio stations. I don’t know the extent of the takedowns but at least 2 stations I listen too regularly are now not available. While I know there are workarounds my biggest concern is that these don’t work via Google Assistant because TuneIn is the default service. So with the loss of non-UK radio stations, plus the new takedowns of internet streams and the on-going absence of BBC radio services, TuneIn is becoming unfit for purpose in the UK on Sonos with Google as the voice assistant. Is there a solution in the pipeline that would allow UK listeners to access other radio stream providers with Google, or to allow people to set a default other than TuneIn? The current situation means that there’s an increasing number of services that are just unavailable via voice control.
Following the instructions for Google Assistant and it by passes the screen to which I need to sign in to add the account

Hi - Facing some clunky command issues with Google Assistant.I have a Beam in the living room and a One in my bedroom, both are set up with Google Assistant. Both devices are also set up with Google Home for simple automation. When directly saying a command to the devices i.e. “Hey Google, I’m home”….they will respond with “Welcome home” and proceed to broadcast the message on the other device “Broadcasting a message, I’m home”. However, from the Google assistant app on iphone, the broadcasted message will be “Welcome home Alvo” and the other device will broadcast “Chime sound and then Alvo has arrived" I have 3 devices (Fan, TV and Beam) set up in Living Room, it used to work when I say “Turn Off Living Room” i.e. all 3 devices are turned off. Recently the command does not work anymore, I will get the error message “Sorry i'm not sure which living room you'll like to turn off”Questions: For point (1) why the inconsistency? For point 2) How do I get it to turn off the devices in Living
I recently bought a Sonos Beam and connected to my new samsung TV via HDMI ARC. Built-in Google assitant on Beam was working fine. Then I bought a couple of symfonisk bookselves and grouped the 3 devices together in the same room. As soon as I did that, the Beam stoped listening to my google comands. Any way to fix this? Thanks!
Google voice assistant will not play music from Sonos playlist or Google play music but otherwise works for information, weather, etc.The message reads “Sorry, the requested media content is not available for your requested Google Play Music subscription tier.” However, the content plays perfectly on My Google HOME speaker. The Arc will play music properly using the Sonos apps but not with voice commands. Any help i appreciated. Thanks.
Hi,Google announced their Assistant and Apple Music are now compatible on Smart Speakers: https://www.google.ch/amp/s/blog.google/products/google-nest/never-miss-beat-apple-music-now-available-new-nest-audio/amp/ When will Sonos join it‘s competition?
My Sonos Beam is incredibly sensitive to wake-commands and believes it is hearing it several times a day. It is reacting to anything and everything which registers as “unknown voice commands” in activity history. It can be anything from someone speaking on the TV or just a regular conversation, nothing close to “OK/Hey Google”. None of these problems occur with the Home Minis I own. Is anyone else experiencing this? Working from home and doing video conferences has been a nightmare as it is constantly thinking I’m talking to it…. Setting in Swedish if that affects anything…
Hi, Using a Google Mini to control Sonos is proving a little testing... When I say "Hey Google" I expect the Sonos volume to drop so GA can hear me... But it doesn't... I then shout "Volume 10%" and the volume INCREASES (it was playing higher than 10% so should have reduced...) I then shout "Volume 10%" again and, once again, the volume goes up (even louder)! I think GA/Sonos *thinks* it dropped the volume to hear me and the unexpected increases are the result of only doing the restore half of the temporary volume reduction. Anyone experienced the same? (Anyone else wishing the Sonos app had a "reboot all devices" option?)
Hello everybody. I'm trying to stream music on my 5.1 sonos setup by asking Google Assistant. I set up the sonos as default speaker and it is working now or less ok. The only problem is that only the play bar is actually used for reproducing the music, while all the other speakers are silent. Is this yet another bug in the sonos integration or am i missing something?
I have a Sonos Arc, which is connected to my LG TV (lg65nano956na) using eARC. I have Google Assistant setup on the ARC, and everything is working fine. I am able to ask Google Assistant to Turn ON or OFF the TV, using voice commands - where Google Assistant then uses the Sonos TV Control Integration to execute the command, as my TV itself does not appear as a smart device in the Google Home app.I am however facing one isse, that if the TV is already “OFF” and Google Assistant is asked to turn it “OFF”, then it turns ON. This in itself is not an issue (as it does not make sense to do).The problem arrives when I use the “Turn OFF everything” command, to turn OFF all my smart devices. In this case, all my smart devices turn OFF, including my TV.. unless the TV is already “OFF”, in which case Sonos TV Control turns it back on.Any idea why this happens and if there is a way to solve it?
