Mvh HH
I know there is another topic on this; but it has been flagged as ‘answered’.It’s not answered with an update. When will this be fixed? Most basic option is to shuffle music on your audio devices, right? When can we expect an update with this bug-fix?
From the Sonos apps installed on my iPad and Macbook Pro I can manually create playlists from the music library stored on my Macbook --- basically my iTunes library assembled over several years.I can select one of these playlists or a single track and play it on either of my two sonos one devices simply by clicking on it.But I’m not able to do this using google assistant voice control as it doesn’t recognise my Music Library or sonos playlists as music sources. It only seems to accept streaming paid-subscription Music Services e.g. Spotify premium account. Why is this ?Is it simply a commercial decision by Google who hope that I will subscribe to Google Play Music, which would give them a monthly revenue stream ?I could of course subscribe to a different streaming service like Spotify, Apple Music or Amazon Music, in which case neither Google nor Sonos would receive any subscription benefit from me.I’m quite happy for google assistant voice control to tell me the weather forecast
Hi All, I have a connect Amp and Google Assistant working in my home. I can tell google to play Spotify or radio to the amp with no issues. i also have my TV audio out connected to the line in on the Amp. What is the voice command to tell Google to play the line-in on the Amp cheers
HiThe Sonos App does not support Google Play Music very well.I have a Windows PC, Android Phone and Android Tablet. All software are updated.I have Sonos Play 1, Sonos Play One and Sonos Connect.I have read earlier threads regarding this, but i still miss sine og the described issues.- Earlier the app. supported "radio" when a got to an artist. This have been gone a year or more.- In Google Play Music app. a can search for Artist, Song, Genre and more. In Sonos App I cant search for genres. When i eg. Search for Rock ord Jazz i get a empty result.- When in Google Play go to radio stations, there are alot to choose among (and many genres to choose among) The Sonos App only has 7 genres two choose among. I go via browse -> Google Play Music-> Browse Radio channels -> genre Sonos is a superb audio system, and the app is quite cool - but it can get event better. Kind regards Thomas
Hello,I am in the process of building my Sonos system across my house and am absolutely loving it. I do have a couple questions about Google Assistant support:On the Google Home, there is an option under Accessibility to play a sound once the unit has finished recognizing your command. This is in addition to the sound that plays when you say the wake word. I am blind, so this audio queue can be helpful to know when the unit has finished with my command. I suspect this may be one of those things that Google doesn’t give third-party speakers access to, but will it ever be possible to stop an alarm or timer just by saying “stop” without saying Hey Google first? This works on Google Home speakers.
I just updated my Sonos system and Google Assistant to control my Sonos speakers. I am getting an error when I ask Google to play Spotify in any room. It states Spotify is unavailable. When I ask google to play Spotify on the Mini home, It works perfectly. I have unlinked and relinked both accounts and I am still getting the same error. I tried the same command with Pandora and it works fine. I can ask Google to play Pandora in any room or on Mini Home and it works flawlessly. Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated!
I use Assistant on my Pixel 2XL. I also use it on a Sonos One, which is used by my whole household. We use Spotify for music. I originally had my Spotify account linked to my Google account on the Sonos, but quickly found that if someone else used the Sonos while I was listening to Spotify elsewhere (like at work), then my music would stop. To fix this, I created a house Google account, and linked that Assistant to the Sonos. Then I created a house Spotify account, and linked that account to my house Google Assistant. This works great, no problems. Now I am trying to link Tile to my Google account, so I can ask the Assistant on the Sonos to find my Tile items. This is more difficult. I set up my house Google account on an old, unused Android phone. I am able to link Tile to that account. But since Tile needs Bluetooth, I can't use Tile on Sonos unless that old phone is turned on and in range of the Tile items. I don’t really want to have that old phone sitting around, chargi
Just purchased a Sonos One (Gen 1) for the bedroom mostly for my wife’s use. She likes use voice commands but being Sono’s doesn’t recognize voice, it ‘doesn’t access her personal Spotify account. For the time being I was going to keep the Google Home in the room to recogize wife’s voice and play music on the Sonos. Idealy I would like to make the Sonos one the default speaker for the the Google Home but I do not even see it listed in the Google Home app.Mostly importantly I do not want both of them answering at “Ok Google”.
HiWe've now had assist enabled for quite some time and I was wondering if there was an update in the pipeline that could add basic features that should have been there from the get go, such as:Voice match (come on, an obvious feature)Assistant on both a stereo pair (as with Alexa)An ability to shuffle playlists (can't be complicated). Maybe whilst you're on you can fix the frequent bugs too such as the one where assistant can't find what I've asked for (when I've simply asked it to play a specific album). It's seems like assistant integration was designed with maximum frustration in mind. Maybe Sonos should be concentrating on sorting this out before releasing any more speakers with half baked voice control??
"I have a Sonos One and am using the Google interface. Frequently now it tells me that it cannot reach the internet. I have to power it down and back on again to get it to interface properly. Any assistance with this problem would be appreciated."
Okay, I have noticed a strange behavior: If I issue the command "*lamp name* x%" to my google home, it replies with a chime and sets that specific (Ikea tradfri) light to x% brightness. If I issue the same command to my Sonos one, It replies with a web search reply. Which is useless to me ;). I am sure that I set the Sonos up in the right google assistant/home group stuff, because when I simply say something like "turn lights on/off" it replies with a chime and does just that. Does anyone have a solution (or at least explanation) for this behavior?
I am trying to play music on my Sonos Beam using Google Assistant. I have a Spotify Premium account. When I ask assistant to play anything (song, playlist, artist) on Spotify, it initially says "sure, playing xxx" and then after a pause says, "sorry, the requested media content isn't available for your Spotify premium tier". I am using an iPhone X for the setup. I've tried unlinking and relinking my Spotify account in both the Google Assistant and Sonos apps. I've tried deleting and reinstalling Google Assistant. I've tried disabling Google Assistant and then reenabling it. No dice! I was previously using Amazon Alexa with the Sonos Beam for a short time and Spotify was working fine (but I would prefer to be able to use Google Assistant for other reasons). If I try to play music using Google Assistant through the app on the iPhone, it will open Spotify and go to the correct artist but not actually play the song. Would really appreciate any suggestions.. it's driving me nuts!!
I currently have Sonos One's 2nd Gen in my theater setup. I've been researching and pondering what speakers to put in the rest of the house. I've been endlessly changing my mind but think I'm leaning towards the Sonos One and I've seen some 1st Gens with decent prices. I do not have experience with the first Gen. Without the updated processor and internals, does GA still function fine? I only ask cause there were few posters speculating that could be one of the reasons they were updated.
After trying with limited success in integrating Alexa with home lights, I am thinking of trying again with Google Assistant. Is the GA integration through Sonos with Lutron Caseta solid? For example, can I group the lights and the Sonos so I can say "Hey Google, turn on the lights" to the Sonos One in my kitchen, and GA will turn on the lights in the kitchen? Or is it still sort of dumb, where I have to tell the kitchen Sonos "turn on the lights in the kitchen"? I don't have the Lutron Caseta swtiches - just thinking of installing them after ecobee toasted the temperature sensor function on their Swtich+.
