dropouts when loading webpage on iMac
Hi,For many years now (since 2011?) I have been using Sonos Connect:AMP to play music in my study, on or via an iMac, with separate loudspeakers.The Connect:AMP is wired directly to a router (wired to the main modem/access point) in another room; the other Connect:AMP ethernet port is used to wire to the computer.I have always had problems with unstable wifi in this room, so after many experiments with extra routers I went for cabled only, also to make the most of the fast internet connection.This cabled set-up has worked perfectly for many years, but over the past two months or so (can’t remember exactly) I get Sonos dropouts constantly when loading/scrolling (heavier) webpages.I have had the same 2019 40Gb iMac with SSD drive for almost a year and made no recent changes in the system.I have reset the whole chain a few times but the problem persists. It occurs with all music, whether I use Sonos radio or Spotify or play music from my own library.I have not encountered anything similar
Color of the cable with colored roam?
This has to be the dumbest question around here, but here goes:When buying a blue / red / green Roam, what color is the USB cable included? I’ve done the research and genuinely couldn’t find that info.A bit silly but I do want my charger to match the cable, otherwise it’s ugly.
Can I use one of my sonos 1 speakers in a bar area if it is tied to a surround setup?
This might be a stupid question, but I am pretty new to all of this. I have a Sonos beam with the woofer and two Sonos ones in a basement set up. Is there any way that I can create a room for just the one speaker that is back by the bar area? Ideally I would like to play music on that after the kids have gone to bed and not have the whole surroundsound system blasting music and keeping them all up. Or is that speaker permanently tied to the basement set up that I currently have and that is all I can do with it? thanks!!
Spotify songs stop playing, or skip, and losses connection to playbar
About a few months ago my Spotify stopped playing songs 30 seconds into playing then on my wireless Sonos Playbar home theatre setup. It would also skip songs, and sometimes out of the blue it would start playing another song without any input from me, all using the Spotify App on my iphone. I researched many threads online and even contacted Spotify. I tried alot of the suggestions provided to no avail. Then I tried the Spotify App on my smart TV and it worked flawlessly. So why doesn’t the Spotify App work on my iphone?This got me wondering why. Then I read that Sonos only uses the 2.4 ghz wireless band and not the 5 ghz band. So I checked the wifi connection on my iphone and it was connected via the 5 ghz band. So I changed my iphone wifi to the 2.4 ghz band and now Spotify works flawlessly again. At least for the last week or so. I thought I would relay this to others with similar problems. Good luck.
HDMI ARC Question
I have an LG OLED55CXPUA TV and I'm using the Beam as my audio device. It works perfectly thru the ARC HDMI port of my TV. However, I want to extract either optical or analog audio using a HDMI Audio extractor and feed the HDMI thru to the Beam. However I can't get any audio thru to the Beam or out of the optical or analog outputs. Does anyone know a brand or model of an extractor that will work? thks/Roger
Help me with room configuration
Hey guys truly supernew to this forum. But i throw out a question. I’m building and extension and want to have nice sound in the rooms. Thinking ceiling speakers in the rooms and a woffer and a bar in the livingroom to make the movies come to life. Using the ceiling ones as back speakers. Any toughts? Thanks!

Sonos Port Connect to Directv Genie Mini or Genie 2
I would like to listen to TV audio through my Sonos Port and other 4 Sonos Amps. I currently have a surround sound receiver playing TV audio and the receiver is connected to the Sonos port. I was told by Best Buy that the only way to do this is use a sonos sound bar but that defeats the purpose of the receiver / surround sound system. In a perfect world I would be able to watch a television channel (perhaps a football game) on Directv and hear the sound throughout all of the Sonos amps in my home.
Sonos OSX App (13.1) does not play "next" on any service
When I pick an album (Amazon music that I own), one of my Albums (linked to iTunes library), Spotify, or even Spotify’s “Made for Me” Daily Mix lists … Sonos only plays the first item over and over, never going to next. This is even though I pick “Play Now”. has been going on for a few weeks (or longer?). The only reliable music source I now have is Tune-in to a radio station, sadly.
3rd iPhone won't connect to Sonos on network
Hello everyone, I am having an issue that I believe is related to an iphone. My wife's iphone 8 was working fine with our Sonos network until it decided to not work. The app and said there were no Sonos items on the network. At that point I uninstalled the app, restarted the phone, restarted the router, power cycled speakers, etc.So now we cant even login in the app on one of our devices because it cant see any Sonos devices on the network.My iphone 8 plus is still able to connect, and my daughters iphone 7 both connect fine, we can see all the speaks, connect and link them together in a group.All iphones are running ios 14.3, and the Sonos apps have all been updated to current. The ios sonos app we are using is Sonos 12.2.2the router is a Google Nest mesh network. The Google Home app is version 2.32.11 no idea about hardware version or whatnot. Anyone have a problem aimilar to this?
Amazon music Australia prime trial
have an Amazon Australia Prime 30 day trial. Have selected Amazon music in Sonos app and authorised the account. Service appears but when select music ie a station it says I need to start a trial with Amazon UK. I do have an Amazon UK account but no prime membership. is there a setting somewhere with Amazon that I need to change?
