When Play:1 is turned up past half volume, the speaker buzzes during any bass, such as a bass guitar...tried resetting it, moving it to another location, unplugging power cord and reconnecting...still buzzes. Speaker is brand new, can I use the warranty for a new one?
Hello all, I am thinking about buying a Sonos Play:1. Now I just I would order one and start listening....but they're sold out everywhere (in Holland that is). So now I am reading countless reviews just because I have some extra time ( ;-) )....and thinking what would be the best thing to do. Is there a big difference between a Sonos Play:1 and the bigger Play:3 ? Main usage would be in my living room (30m2) streaming from my Synology NAS and Internet Radio. I've got an Ultimate Ears Boombox as well, but don't like the size and the Bluetooth dropouts. Also I think i'll love the connectivity from Sonos. What do you guys think?
I recently purchased a Play:1 for my kitchen. I am able to connect to and select Pandora and other sources with (2) different iPhone 5s's and a iPad Mini all running iOS 7.0.4, however the actual iPhone or iPad do not show up as sources in the list of music sources. The Sonos bridge is connected to an Airport Extreme and I've confirmed that I'm able to connect to the Play:1 on both the 5GHz and 2.4GHz frequency bands. I am very frustrated because i can't stream anything other than internet radio and really wanted to be able to stream podcasts.
Is there anyway to listen to radio shows I downloaded through the SiriusXM app through the Sonos app? Let me explain, SiriusXM lets you download some of the radio shows through their app and then you can play them back only within their app but I don't see anywhere in the Sonos app that lets me access those files in the SiriusXM section. Any help would be great. Thank you!
Play 5 product does not work and will not factory reset. solid white light only, no matter what is attempted. (i.e. factory reset by power off, power on while holding mute, waiting 60+ secs; --or connecting with system by holding mute and volume while already on). repair options? or is this a hav ego buy a new one option. its a 2012 model serial number 1208 00-0E-58-5F-19-50-G
So my home system is currently set up with a wireless router downstairs and a sound system upstairs. My sound system is basically a Yamaha amplifier with various speakers and other audio visual equipment connected to it as well as a laptop with all my Itunes music on it. I can access my itunes music library on my laptop through my smartphone or ipad (via wi-fi) from anywhere around the house and also control the volume through this however to enjoy music downstairs or in the bedrooms I have to put up the volume in the living room considerably and still not giving the desired effect therefore I ask: Would it be possible to link a SONOS speaker to this type of system so that I can transmit music either directly from my amp to the wireless speakers so that wherever I place the speaker around the house it will play the same music that is playing on my sound system without me needing to raise the volume too high in the living room? Alternatively would it be possible to l
have a play 5 and a play 3 in the same room and want to create a stereo pair. The app allows me to link either to another of the same, ie. two play 5's or two play 3's, but not one of each. Why is this? Surelt the technology is the same, just different speaker size and case sound path dynamics. I should be able to pair play 1 to play 3 and play 5.
Hello! I have 3 rooms grouped together. In one of the rooms (Play:1, The toilet), I loose power to my Sonos every time I turn off the lights. I was hoping it would start playing again once lights were turned on but I can`t find anything about "autoplay" or similar in options. Obviously I have to group this room up again with the others every time the lights has been turned off and its kinda...irritating--:rolleyes: ...espescially on beer-nights where this light goes on and of quite often... If this isnt gonna work out as I planned Im afraid I bought one Sonos too many, since I never play music "in-here-only". I just wanted the feeling that my whole house was full of music all the time(: Any tips is much appreciated, thank you
At present, I have two options: 1. Select a single track to play. 2. Select all tracks to play, starting with the first. What I want to be able to do is find a point in a playlist, eg. halfway through / from 3 months ago / the bit where I added loads of Laura Mvula tracks / whatever, and play from that point. This is normal in most playback systems but, unless I'm very much mistaken, not possible in Sonos. Am I being thick, or can we have an update please? Thanks, Manda
I'm in love with my current SONOS setup, but there is still one device I'd love to connect to my system: my pc. I've tried a Connect to play sound attached to a video (for example from Youtube) through my speakers and while it works, there is a noticable delay (even with all the help settings). If I try the same thing with my Playbar, it works perfectly thanks to the digital input. Isn't it time to release a Connect 2.0? All digital? You have the technology (as proven by the Playbar), it shouldn't be too much problems to put it all together in a new Connect.
How could I use my Sonos Play1 speakers for my Sony HD TV output? My DirecTV box is connected directly to the same router as the Sonos bridge, but not sure how to make the connection thru the router or do I need another direct cable between the DirecTV box or TV and Sonos Bridge? My Sony TV has built-in WiFi also thru the same router could that be utilized somehow? I currently use its optical audio output to an external speaker, is that a possibility? Stumped
Hi, i would like you to incorporate say 3 physical buttons on all Play units alowing users to activate presets without having to do it from tablet or phone. Say button 1 on play 5 in kicthen is preset to some radio chanel, button 2 is preset to a Spotify playlist etc.
