I’m looking for some advice. I have a turntable connecting (line-in) to a Sonos Five. Now I want to add other speakers (Beam, Symfonisk) to the room. However, I don’t see any options in the app to add any further speakers. Is there a trick to adding my other speakers?
The Sonos Amp goes into ‘idle’ mode when it doesn’t detect an audio signal for more than 3 minutes. It’s a shame that the Amp doesn’t automatically wake up from idle mode when the TV it’s connected to is turned on. Every time you switch the TV on, and begin playing content, you miss the first 3 seconds of audio as you wait for the Amp to wake up. This problem also occurs when you pause whatever content you’re watching for more than 3 minutes - the Amp goes to idle mode, and then you miss the first 3 seconds of audio when you begin playing again. Every other audio receiver turns itself on when the TV is turned on, using HDMI CEC control. Surely the Amp could do the same? The Amp should wake up from idle when the TV is turned on, and stay woken up until the TV is turned off.
Moved into new house that came with sonos amps and wired speakers. All amp lights were white. I performed factory reset to add to my sonos system, and mute button flashes green with led off. When I press any button, mute button goes off and led is yellow. Continuously tell me me can’t find device. Can’t find the amp that I did not factory reset either. Any suggestions?
Hello, I have a client with two 70v in each of their restrooms that are run in series. We originally planned on using the Sonos speakers but were unaware of what’s currently there. Am I able to power 4 QSC AD-C6T speakers as shown below? Thank you in advance! I’m guessing that may run into issues with the fact that the output is stereo and that a Port is a better option but was hoping to not have to change our order. Thank you!
Does anybody know what the screw sizes for the official Sonos One stands are? I’ve lost the screw kit that came with the stands. There were two sizes per stand (instructions just list them as ‘black screw’ and ‘silver screw’)I went to Home Depot but couldn’t find any that fit Thank you.
Hello,I’m in the process of getting a new construction home built. I’m wondering if there would be any issues putting Sonos ceiling speakers ~18 inches away from a coffered ceiling similar to the coffered ceiling on the perimeter of the living room below image below? Does that give enough distance to avoid any issues? For context, my home layout is very similar to this open concept with the living room and kitchen / dining being an open space like the image below. Thank you!
Hi AllI have a weird issue that has just started, I have three Sonos items, Sonos SL in my office and bedroom, then a sonos port connected to a multiroom system. The three are setup on the app as separate rooms, i could play music through Sonos Radio or Spotify to any individual room, now the issue i have is if i slect the port on its own i get a cannot connect or cannot add to queue error dependant on if it is radio or spotify. If i select either of the other two SL speakers they work fine, I can then add port as an additional source and it also plays….I power cycled the three speakers, Sonos would not then play on anything, I reset my router, uninstalled the apps on my phone, reinstalled the apps still the same.Factory reset the SL speakers and I am now back to the speakers working fine but the port still not working standalone, the port will also not factory reset….i get a flashing amber/ white but not green, it returns to white, I have also disabled the wifi and hardwired the port an

How does CEC TV remote on Arc work, and will it allow Bluetooth hedaphones (from TV) at the same time as Sonos?
I use a playbar with a modern Samsung TV and am looking to upgrade to Arc. The eArc means the TV remote will then control the Sonos properly. However, I also use Bluetooth headphones at the same time. Will the TV remote still control the Sonos, or will it only control the headphones? Will the TV with eArc connection mean that, cleverly(!), the Sonos switches off when I use Bluetooth headphones, which is absolutely what I don’t want!
Perhaps a crazy question, but here goes:I’d like to add in-ceiling sonance speakers in our family room. Problem is, it’s a 2-story tall room so the ceiling is probably 25-30-feet tall. I’d rather not rent a scaffold or lift to deal with it. So that got me thinking: Since there is attic above that room, would it be possible to install the speakers from above? What I was thinking was Step 1: cut the holes from the attic. Step 2: drop a fishing line/rope/whatever through the hole to the floor below. Step 3: attach the rope to the speaker. Step 4: attach the speaker grill to the speaker. Step 5: Carefully pull the speaker up to the hole from the attic. Step 6:???????????? It seems like steps 1-5 will get me a speaker that is in place, but not secured. I suppose the big question is I can you twist down the locking mechanism from the back side of the speaker? (See picture) Anyone have experience with this? Or does anyone have a speaker handy to see if there’s a way to lower the clamps from t
I recently moved into an home that has wiring and in ceiling speakers for a multi room audio system. I’d like to be able to stream music to these speakers without going to the cabinet to turn on a receiver, etc. I was thinking a Sonos Amp looked like a good option, but I'm far from a home audio expert so i’m hoping to get recommendations from those that know. Below are the existing components the home has, would a Sonos amp have enough power to play music on both the main floor and the basement speakers? My fear is buying a Sonos amp which isnt cheap and then finding out it doesnt have the necessary power - then I’m stuck. Any help is appreciated!2 - Sonance VP60R speakers - Main Floor1 - 100 Watt Slider Volume Control, Impedance Matching - Main Floor2 - Sonance VP60R speakers - Basement1 - 100 Watt Slider Volume Control, Impedance Matching - BasementWired back to a mechanical room where there is a Episode EA-MR-HUB-1x8 distribution hub.
Not sure if anyone can help with this? I have a Sonos Amp connected to sonos one rears, aftermarket speakers and an aftermarket wired sub (REL). I frequently find that when opening the SONOS app, the Sub Audio where you can adjust sub level and crossover frequency is missing but then appears after some time of music playback or when i repeatedly go back and forth between settings. At times it does not appear at all. Is there a fix for this? The hardware functionality operates at intended but this missing menu issue is a fault I have experienced since I purchased the amp. I have tried to use the app on various devices (Pixel 6, Pixel 7 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, iPad gen 4) with the same symptoms. Thanks in advance for any help with this.
I have a vintage stereo system with RCA jacks for input and output. A Yamaha CR 1020 receiver connected to a pair of JBL Century 100 speakers is what I want to hook up to the Sonos Port or other music streamer. I do not wish to upgrade any of my components, I have a Marantz 2270 still in the box as a backup. And the speakers work fine for my 68 old ears.I plan on using the RCA output of the Sonos Port to stream music to my current stereo system and using the Sonos Port RCA inputs from my system to power other Sonos speakers in other rooms of my home. I have the Sonos Port connected to my Stereo now and it sounds as good as my CD player and turntable. My question is what is the kHz and bitrate output to the RCA outputs on the Sonos Port? I think the digital outputs on the Sonos Port are 24-bit/44.1kHz. Does anybody know if the RCA outputs are the same?
Hello, I have a small issue. We have 3 amps on our system that should control 3 different areas with their own speakers. When we first set up the system the ‘Gym’ amp and speakers were on the app. However after we had some internet issues the ‘Gym’ amp/speakers now just copy whatever is being played on the ‘Reception’ amp/speakers. But as I said, the ‘Gym’ used to be it’s own individual area. It’s as if the ‘Reception’ amp now controls the speakers in the reception and the gym. But the gym should be controllable through it’s own amp. They are not ‘tied’ together (when you get 2 or more amps to play the same), it’s just the the gym has completely gone from the app, but as I said is till playing music!Any suggestions would be very appreciated!Cheers A
AngeMod Edit: Google Translate- Hello, I have a set of components running SONOS S1, so a CR200 remote control which for 2 week
I have an already existing turntable set up of a Fluance RT 82 (which doesn’t have a built in phono preamp) > Phono In of a Sony STR-DH190 amp > speaker wire to passive speakers. The family room is next to my set up is going to have ceiling speakers installed with a Sonos amp (primarily used for TV sound).I’d like to be able to sometimes listen to my wired set up as described through my wired speakers and other times, play my turntable through my sonos amp in the family room.l’ve read there are a few options (using a port, a Connect G2, or a Bluetooth transmitter + Roam), but I’m not sure how all the connections work and in what order and how to change the output to toggle between the hardwired output and the Sonos. I do see on my amp, input 4 has both IN and OUT, but I don’t see how to switch between the speaker terminal out and the input 4 out.And if all of this is possible, any guidance of pros/cons between the port/connect G2/BT+Roam options would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Guys, I need some help to do the right set up for my house currently under construction.I d like to use in ceiling sonos for most of the rooms + home cinema (in ceiling only) and rock speakers for outside. all linked to AMPs . Starting with the underground, i have a room where i d have 4 in-ceiling speakers + 1 AMP- see belowAll the AMPs would be in racks in a separate roomThen on the main floor I d have 2 inside zones: 1 for the Kitchen/living room in purple (1AMP) + 1 zone for the home cinema. I was thinking about using 2 in-ceiling sonos for the back and 3 front Focal 100ICLCR5 speakershttps://www.focal.com/en/custom-integration/in-wall-in-ceiling-loudspeakers/100-series/in-ceiling-speakers/100iclcr5Should I use a specific AC receiver for that or can I connect those through AMPs; if yes would that mean 3 AMPs (back + front+ center). What about sub? Then the brown one would be for the outside- was thinking about 2 rock speakers (1 by the pool) connected to 1 AMP Finally the master

Just wanted to share a solution. Had problems regarding the sync between my Sonos Connect, connected with a Beoplay A9, and my other Sonos (arc, Sonas SL). The sound on the A9 came out 1-2 sec later then from the rest. The solution: Open the Bang & Olufsen app Tap the "Settings" icon in the upper-right corner Tap: Settings Tap "Products" Tap your Beoplay A9 4th Gen Tap "Configure" Tap "Sound" Select Line-in and tick "Disable Delay" Note: If the delay is disabled, you cannot distribute sound from the Line-in input in a Beolink Multiroom setup.Everything went in perfect sync after that.
