I’m looking to install 4 sonos ceiling speakers into a living/dining room, powered by one amp. The ceiling is sloped (single slope, shed roof style). The room is 25’ L x 17’ W. The slope runs along the long wall.My question is around placement and options for balancing the sound. Two options:Have all 4 speakers at the same height about 1/3 of the way up the slope. With the slope pitch, this would have the speakers face into the middle of the room. The speakers would not be so much left/right of the listener, more coming from one direction but at least all at the same height. Have 2 speakers at 1/3 way up the slope and another two directly in line with those at 2/3 up the slope. A more standard quadrant setup. However, they would not be at the same height. The issue here is how I’d control the balance of the higher vs closer speaker on the pitched ceiling. Would Trueplay be able to balance the height differences? I realize that without adding a second amp there is no way to control the
Hi all,Last year I deleted my Sonos ‘Bridge’, and replaced the Sonos ‘Connect’ with the ‘Amp’. When I log in and look at My System, it is still telling me I have the Bridge and the Connect. Its not a big deal, but being a simple soul, I’d like to get rid of the reference to those items that I no longer have. Any idea how to do that, please? Thanks in anticipation,
G'day Community. Hope all are well! My first Sonos community post, after setting up my Arc, One SLs (surrounds) and Gen 3 Sub, which all has been Trueplay tuned and sounds pretty mint, so am really pleased. No niggles, really impressed by the quality of the sound for movies and music, and music's where my query's centred, specifically Deezer (Premium). My question, which may have been asked a million times (apols) - How can I tell if the track I'm streaming is high definition audio - I did look within Support and the community, and found the below in Sonos support, but this does not seem to apply to either the Sonos S2 app or the Deezer app (Android) and the following options are nowhere to be found:"How can I tell if the track I'm streaming is high definition audio (FLAC)?Select Info & Options > Track Format. You’ll see the format here (FLAC or MP3)"Ok, so, I'm aware (thanks to the community) that I can verify HDMI input from my tv/xbox e.g. Atmos by checking Sonos App when pl
I have a Port, which I use to connect my turntable. I then route the Port into my AV2 input on my receiver. In the past, I have been able to play a record into my ceiling speakers, and also two paired One’s in my office. However, I got the Beam, which is linked to my TV, and ever since, I can’t get my records to play through the Port, to my ceiling speakers. My TV is HDMI ARC wired straight into the Beam. And when I try to play a record through to the ceiling, I make sure my received input is set to AV2. I can still play the record through the port to any of my Sonos speakers. Did I throw something off by adding the Beam? Am I missing an important step? Welcoming any ideas. Thank you!

Hello just purchased a epson 4040 pro series projector.i currently have sonance outdoor satellite speakers throughout the yard paired with Sonos amp and Sonos Hub. I also bought a denon audio receiver, a hdmi switcher, Apple TV. The projector is mounted outside in a weatherproof enclosure. The screen is motorized and sits on the group and it sealed in a weatherproof box that has to be opened before using remote to control screen. my question is it possible- hdmi from projector to hdmi switcher, hdmi from switcher to audio reciever. Audio out from Sonos port to audio in on reciever. To use the sonance outdoor speakers for the projector.then to also be able to use the speaker to watch live tv.

I’m using a speakercraft multrppm amp along with a connect and bridge. My bridge has stopped working, completely dead. When I try to locate my Sonos system it can’t locate it. It’s an old connect, do I need to replace and if so with what? I know I will eventually have to replace the speakercraft amp (11 years old) so is there something I can use now that will be compatible with current setup and then be used with possibly the Sonos AMP, whenever I eventually have to replace the Speakercraft AMP? Thanks

I have Sonos Connect connected to Sherbourn amp that powers about 14 speakers in my house. Normally when I start music in Sonos app and stream music Sherbourn amp turns on music starts. This morning I turn on music in app, it shows bars indicating music but I don’t get music. The Sherbourn amp doesn’t automatically kick on. I tried turn amp on manually, nothing. Any thoughts?
Hello All,I’ve a Connect running happily for a few years, but over the past week or so, it has been dropping off the Sonos network. If I reboot it it works for a while and then drops off again, in at most, a day. This Connect is wireless. The rest of my setup is perfectly fine. Any ideas? Thanks,Ian
Hello, I have a small issue. We have 3 amps on our system that should control 3 different areas with their own speakers. When we first set up the system the ‘Gym’ amp and speakers were on the app. However after we had some internet issues the ‘Gym’ amp/speakers now just copy whatever is being played on the ‘Reception’ amp/speakers. But as I said, the ‘Gym’ used to be it’s own individual area. It’s as if the ‘Reception’ amp now controls the speakers in the reception and the gym. But the gym should be controllable through it’s own amp. They are not ‘tied’ together (when you get 2 or more amps to play the same), it’s just the the gym has completely gone from the app, but as I said is till playing music!Any suggestions would be very appreciated!Cheers A
Plan to power my B&W LM 1’s with my Connect 1 amp. Will use my wonderful Denon DCD 1560 and, I hope,Qobuz. I don’t want to add on to the Sonos hookup that runs elsewhere. Two question: the office room for this is going to need its own router, and the Connect has lost its power chord. (It couldn’t be me.) Would welcome suggestions and a power cord for sale.
Hello. I’m more than happy to airplay from Apple Music to my Sonos speakers but I have a question for you. I’ve been taking a look to Cambridge audio cxn v2 and the new Evo unit (this one is a bit redundant as it comes with an internal amplifier). The idea is to haga a device that I can plug an hdd unit with flac music and connect it to the Sonos speaker. As an aside, it also provides a display where you can see the cover art, title etc. which is also neat. Questions are: can the Cambridge audio be connected to Sonos via wifi or only via line in? are there other solutions that provide a display and the capability of playing hdd files?thanks !
Hi all, My setup consists of two Symfonisk speakers, stereo paired, and a Sonos Port. The Port has a line in from a Behringer sound card. The card is fed by a Raspberry PI and also has an analog line-in signal from the TV.I have set the Port to Autoplay line-in. When I start a film on Netflix (Chromecast connected to TV), the port is activated and sound comes up within two seconds through the Symfonisk speakers, which is good enough. However, if there’s a silent passage in the film, sound gets deactivated and it may take 5 seconds to activate again when signal is detected. Looks like Autoplay gets interrupted after a couple of seconds with no sound. Is there a way to prevent this from happening, other than manually switching input via the Sonos app?
Hi All - I am wondering what amplifier people use for Sonos Connect products. I have been using Audiosource amps with Behringer EQs for in-wall JBL speakers. The system sounds OK but it’s a lot of components, IMO. I’m curiuos what others have been doing. Also, I am getting a hiss in one of my systems that I have to troubleshoot and that’s adding to my interest in a more robust, reliable set up. Looking forward to hearing backDave
