Je possède un système Sonos (Sub + Beam 2 + 2 Sonos 1) connecté à un ordinateur de type PC sous Windows 11. La prise HDMI du PC est déjà utilisée pour la diffusion de l’image via mon vidéo projecteur. J’utilise donc la prise Optique de ce dernier pour le son. Prise optique insuffisante en terme de débit pour le dolby Atmos et le DTS. Quelle solution se présente à moi pour profiter pleinement de toutes les technologies audio ? (Ma réfexion du moment : Si la seule solution est l’acquisition d’un Sonos Amp, la revente du systeme intégrant le coût du Sonos Amp m’offre un large panel de produit)
I have upgraded from original Sonos to new generation Sonos 2. My old system connected to a wi-fi connected hard drive (Western Digital MyBookLive). I am trying to add it to the new system, but am having trouble. I have the IP address for the hard drive, but the app requires me to enter a file path. But I cannot figure out what the file path is. When I enter the description of it as it appears in the settings for the Sonos 1 (which still plays from the hard drive), it says that file doesn’t exist. Spoke for hours to Sonos tech support, but couldn’t figure it out. Tried file explorer in Windows, but can’t see it. At a loss.
I’m using the updated S1 app and suddenly it can’t access my shared music folder on my windows PC.I’ve tried to reconnect to the shared folder, but the S1 app doesn’t accept the network server name because it has an underscore character in the name. Hence, I can’t connect to the music on my PC.It was working for a long time until now, so has something changed in the S1 app about allowable characters in shared server names for the music library? Hello! I am someone who tends to plug an Ethernet cord into a device if it has an Ethernet port. I’m planning on picking up some Sonos speakers, and since they have Ethernet ports, I was going to wire them all up without a second thought. Then I read online about how they create their own Sonosnet and that wiring multiple up can cause STP issues. I really have no idea what STP is. I have two eero 6 pros and one eero 6. Just wondering if I still should wire them all up, or just leave them on wifi. Thanks in advance.
Hello,A few years ago I had real issues keeping sonos connected to my WiFi. A kind contributer here advised that it was my Google mesh causing the issue and to connect a speaker to one of the google WiFi points, I did and this fixed the issue.I've moved house now and installed Google again, the nearest speaker to a Google wifi point is play 3 and part of surround set up - linked to a playbar linked to TV. If I connect to this play 3 will that keep the Google wifi and sonos in sync?At moment I'm having issues connecting at all to Google wifi so looks like factory reset and start from scratch is way ahead.Thanks David
Looking for help please Community.Just changed broadband providers and have an issue whereby my speaker will cause the WiFi speed to virtually drop off. This usually happens at around 20 minutes of usage.Broadband company initially (and naively) couldn't find an issueThey have since changed what I presume is my IP address and are adamant that this will fix. They did this after I ran a ping and tracert test on the network.Nothing has changed however and I have gone back to them again.will they done this as there was a possible conflict with the Sonos set up IP?I have moved the speaker to 5ghz but this has no effectShell is my new provider and they seem quote useless!!Had no issues of the sort in the past with other providers Wishing I had never gone with Shell now but unfortunately tied in! I have seen something similar being asked in on here but no real resolution was ever posted.Any ounce of help would be much appreciated Kind regards and Merry Christmas Darren
Changed from sky to ee broadband. Followed procedure to reconnect playbase and got as far as entering the ee password but got :there was a problem connecting to “”tried doing it wireless and ethernet. Ethernet worked but the sonos is in a different roomALSO - sonos sent me an email to change password but when I entered it I got “wrong email or password”Any ideas
Hey gang,I’ve been trying to troubleshoot this problem and just can’t figure it out. I have a PC with a 3090 connected to an LG CX (passthrough, bitstream, eArc, etc.) and the TV connects to the Arc. Upon booting the machine (fresh) I have Dolby Atmos automatically enabled and usable. I can watch content in Atmos, play games, all good. The moment the system senses a signal that isn’t Atmos it switches to Linear PCM stereo (expected behavior). The problem is once this happens all traces of Atmos disappear from my PC. It will not see the system as Atmos capable. All options of atmos are removed from the system, dolby access app can’t recognize the Arc as Atmos capable, nothing at all. That is until I restart the PC. Once I do that everything is back to normal (atmos on by default, all dolby formats supported, so on.)I’ve noticed it’s some form of communication problem as even with everything enabled as Atmos if I turn off the Arc or change settings on the TV (without changing anything
Apparently I created a thorny issue when I swapped out Arc SL (returned without resetting it) for Arc for my home theater surround system that includes Sub, Arc, and 2 One’s as left and right rear surrounds. Each time I try to re-configure, Sonos app adds “room 2, 3, etc. and does not allow me add the One’s--it only presents 2 other One’s I have in other rooms. Now, my entire config is messed up.Is there an easy resolution? It seems every attempt I make only complicates matters!Help!
Hello,I have multiple Sonos products throughout my house and outside. Since my house and property is big it is tough to cover with one wifi router. I currently have 3 wifi routers to get proper coverage across my house and property. My question is, can I get my sonos attach to different wifi routers and be able to access all of them and play musics on all sonos products even if they are on different wifi routers? We have a small restaurant with an outdoor and an indoor area and our new setup looks like this:One Sonos Amp to power two pairs of ceiling speakers inside A bunch of Sonos One speakers to cover kitchen, dishwashing room, office etc One Sonos Amp to power two pairs of outdoors speakers We also have a mixer that we have previously used for live music and music quiz outdoorsHow should I set up the new system up in order to be able to run music quiz nights (basically a wireless microphone and a Spotify playlist)? Hello all, I have a Sonos one, and I am having trouble connecting it to the wifi here at uni. I have registered the MAC of the Sonos on the required uni wifi website, however every time I try and connect the speaker to the wifi through accessory setup on my iPhone on the Sonos app, it tells me an error has occurred, and nothing I seem to do changes this. if anyone has encountered this before or knows a solution please let me knowCheers.
I have been struggling with my Sonos system (6 speakers - 1 stereo pair and 4 separates together with a Boost) for 2 years now and still do not have a reliable system without dropouts. I have places a couple of related questions here and spoken to Sonos tech service numerous times.My router feeds the primary node of the Tenda Mesh system by ethernet and I have managed to hard wire all of the speakers to other Tenda nodes. I have tested this with and without the Boost and with the WiFi turned on or off on all speakers, but still cannot get a reliable system free of dropoutsMy question is what is the best way to connect the system to the mesh and router and do I need the Boost? The network matrix shows the Boost to be doing little or nothing to stabilise the system and disconnecting the Boost seems to make little difference.I would be grateful for any help as, after 2 years I am pretty close to parting company with Sonos, as I want to listen to music, not constantly fiddle with the syste
We use Sonos to deliver music in a course that we teach. The course involves us visiting small hospitals and I have to get Sonos working, sometimes, over larger distances - and I am looking for advice around this rather than continuing with the repeated pain of my trial and error!We set up a mesh wifi network - the router is plugged into a working ethernet socket and this gives us internet access for some other purposes that we have.I usually plug a Play1 or a Boost into the router and then the other 6 Sonos speakers are placed in rooms - that can be far apart.I do not plug the Play1 or Boost into the hospital ethernet directly because I think they tend to block it (hospitals don’t usually want folks playing music day in , day out via their networks)The problem i have is that the distant speakers are sometimes too far - I can usually ‘see’ them in the app but playing music fails because of network speed.So….options? I currently have several wired speakers (with wireless disabled) along with a Boost providing SonosNet to my remaining wireless speakers.I’ve thought of changing from SonosNet to my own WiFi and have a few questions: Will this create network storms having the hardwired and wireless (on my own WiFi instead of SonosNet) because they’re on the same network? I’m assuming no, but wanted to make double sure. How much traffic goes through uncompressed audio to the speakers? I’m wondering if having 5-10 speakers on my home WiFi will impact my throughput for other wireless devices (phones, laptops, etc.).Thanks!
Hello,Need some help and guidance before mounting TV and sonos ARC. I have 77” TV with 10 ft ceiling. TV hight will be 40”. Location is above fire place. The ceiling clearance from top of tv screen is 24 inches. Viewing distance about 12 feet. So the question is, can I mount ARC above TV and still get best sound effects or am I going to miss out some ATMOS sound effects?Thanks in advance!!
I had a Sonos Arc+Sub system in family room that was working pretty good (wifi connection). Since I liked the experience, I went ahead and bought 2 Sonos One and a Sonos Move for different areas of the house. I successfully added each to the App (all wifi Connections) and thats when the issue started. I now either see the room that has Arc or the room that has Sonos One. It seems to be random which one is displayed but I am not seeing all of them at the same time.The Wifi system in our house is LinkSys Velop Mesh system. I tried different things including wiring the Arc to the router and wiring the Sonos One to one of the Velop nodes. Still the same issue. I also tried restarting the router but it doesn’t seem to fix the problem. Any ideas?
I have an existing S1 system with Play1 Speakers, Boost, Amps , etc….All these devices work from any existing device that had the S1 App installed for many many years…. such as IOS iphones and Mac Desktops….I recently purchased an Beam S2 , used my NEW Iphone to install the APP from app store….Now, since ALL my music and most other Speakers are on S1 … downloaded the S1 APP from the app store, the PROBLEM IS :When trying to connect to existing System (which it is), it can’t find it….I’ve reset the Speaker (one of them) and still NO GO. But all other access from other devices such as my MAC desktop or another IOS iphone device , I can see and play the music.What the heck is going on? I thought S2 and S1 can co-exist in peace. The only difference is that my NEW PHONE has both apps on it S1 and S2.S2 was used to connect the BEAM to configure it and be used by the TV … That works fine. Any HELP would be appreciated.
Hello Sonos lovers. I am planning to buy a mixer to play karaoke in my garage tv. My setup right know is a Samsung TV connected to a Sonos amp through HDMI arc. TV sound is coming through a pair of in ceiling speakers, using tv apps and a Chromecast. Can I connect a mixer using the tv optical out - mixer optical in - mixer analog out - Sonos amp line in?If so, will the arc and line in work simultaneously?Thanks
