Arc Backorder Progress


If you bought you Arc online from Sonos, when did you order it and when did you finally receive it?  I ordered mid July and the anticipated ship date was July 24.  Now, the anticipated ship date for new orders is mid August.  I am wondering which order dates are currently being delivered.  Thanks

12th for me, I’m going to ask them to extend the warranty of the sub and ones when the arc arrives, I bought it to be a set!

 

I've had my Sub 3 and one sls coming up to 3 weeks now I asked about the 100 day return promise and was told that is for each product from the date of shipment  So if I'm not happy with those ill have 20 and counting less days to return.

So, are they inept, or have a perverse sense of humour emailing customers who’ve already ordered an Arc and awaiting backorder ….. this 🤣.

I have just emailed the CEO with a polite request that they make a statement on shipping delays, the lack of customer service and lack of notification of further delays.

I'm sure I won't get a direct reply however I simply asked for a statement on the delays so that all customers are aware why the delays are so long etc 

Apparently the global chip shortage and the delays at the L.A. port (for U.S. order) are causing massive delays.  I ordered the ARC on February 6th. I’m hoping it ships end of February or beginning of March.

Thank you @ChrisHouseStark  yes that probably is part of the issue but I fear you are being very optimistic to receive yours by then when I ordered mine 30th December 2020 and they have so many backorders to fill.

 

Chip shortage sea container shortage reduced manufacturing due to covid restrictions, global logistics all play a part but what Sonos is doing by pushing back shipping a week at a time without explanation or email notifications to its customers is unforgivable.

 

A simple public statement on the website would at the very least give customers something to consider at the point of sale 

Heh @Cuddlr I wonder if UK customers and U.S. customers are experiencing the same wait times.

Looking back at earlier messages on here I think its pretty global @ChrisHouseStark but id like to hear about any US customers still waiting.

The main point is Sonos setting expectations and then moving the finish line multiple times without explanation or even telling customers they have moved the shipping date.

 

It is also ridiculous that Sonos own fulfilment center does not even know the day before shipping whether they themselves will receive stock!!

WOW! OK well he seems happy with it. I'm pretty sure he doesn't see in any great detail the real world experiences of his customers and is shielded by many layers of management telling him what he wants to hear  

Agree with what everyone is saying.

Strange we have to rely on other sonos buyers experience with delivery to know the true story on when we can expect to get our deliveries!

Curiously, Costco had the Sonos Arc SL shipping quickly and delivered February 22. If I experience the same shipping delays and extensions, I  might have to forgo my upgrade offer and get it from Costco.

 

Its been sold out in all Uk shops (online) for ages.If John Lewis (for example) had them back in I would get straight away from them.Only problem is Sonos would make a mess of cancelling my order no doubt!.

Ordered Arc 14th Jan. The last communication I received was email stating the shipping was delayed until 12th Feb. Nothing heard since. I have telephoned customer services this morning and been informed that due to ship now on 19th Feb….…

Not holding my breath!!!

I get a message acknowledging my escalation to support/sales to chase the order status. 

  • They get my name wrong. 
  • They ask me to tell the what I’m expecting - despite having provided my order number and spelt out what was expected in the email raising the service request. 

Their processes and service is really laughable. Pandemic or no pandemic. This is customer service 101 - all it needs is a little common sense and the ability to read. We’re not asking for miracle here - just simple communication.

I just phoned sales support who said the last delay from the 12th was due to bad weather in Holland and that it should ship in the next couple of days... heres hoping!

 

They also said notifications were sent but landing in junk mails

Not sure they are being completely honest!!!

I ordered a Sonos one only a few days ago which has shipped from Holland with no weather related issues!!

Checked my junk emails and certainly nothing received about Arc delay!!

This from DPD website about snow delays.

Heavy Snow to EU Destinations

Applies to Air Express, Air Classic, DPD Direct & DPD Classic

Please be advised that mainland Europe is currently experiencing heavy snow. This means delays between 24-48 hours are expected, the main destinations affected are: France, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Austria.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and will update as soon as we have further information.

 

Ordered 31/12 and was told ship date 29/1 then changed to 5/2 then again changed to 12/2 despite being told by customer services it will ship on 5/2, 12/2 has now passed and received no further update

It seems 2 of us on here have ordered around the 10th January and have been told its shipping this friday.No change to the status (still temp out of stock) and no movement as far as the bank goes so far.Do I believe them?.Of course not!

Yes, I ordered my Arc on the 10th Jan and have heard nothing, and nothing in the junk mail either - I hope its worth the wait!

I have not heard a single thing off them since I ordered!.I have had to contact them to get any info and until I get the arc I wont believe it.My sub gen 3 and 2 1sls speakers are still doing nothing while I wait for the Arc.Few people on here were told 12th and still nothing-shocking

I cant quite believe it but I just checked my order status and it now says processing!

I will keep you posted once I get more info. Hope you guys are seeing processing too or will do in the next 24hrs.
