This started last week. I was literally listening to a station, then it stopped. I did find previous topics, but uninstalling/reinstalling Amazon Music has not worked. I’ve reset Sonos but have not uninstalled Sonos.  I’m on an iPad. Pandora and Sonos Radio work.

Sonos repeatedly drops connection to wifi.

My system repeatedly drops its connection to my wifi. I found the advice pasted below on an earlier discussion. This advice works to reconnect my Sonos, but then after a day or two it just drops the connection again. Any further advice would be gratefully received.  ‘  jgatie 22419 replies 1 year ago I second the above advice, factory resetting is only necessary when instructed by Sonos support staff, and is only useful if an update has bricked the unit.  Factory resetting an entire system wipes out all data; services, playlists, favorites, account info, etc., and also wipes out any diagnostic info Sonos could use to help you out.  Connection problems which appear suddenly are often caused by network problems, not Sonos problems.  The  typical cause is duplicate IP addresses.  These often show up after an update or power outage because a reboot requires the device to request a new IP, and the router, having lost track of current IP assignments, issues a new IP that is in use by anoth

Sonos play 1 intermittent connection loss

We user 7 Sonos play 1s grouped in in the following manner : 2 In the front part of the office; 2 on the center column and 2 at the back side with the last 1 being alone in the corner near the back. There were all working fine until just more than a month ago. Now they randomly just go silent, they don't disconnect from the network and since I managed the network there hasn't been any change in the connected devices. I ran n constant ping to all 7 as well as to internal and external sites like youtube but there wasn't less than 0.002% packet loss. I did restart them all as well as reset and setup the whole system again from the ground up but still the speakers disconnect in a weird manner. What tends to happen is the music will stop then the font set will play then they'll go slightest and then the center speakers will start playing at about a ¼ of the normal volume.  I have the same issue occurs even if I change music providers.

Sonos Sub dissapearing from network

Hi. I have a Sonos beam and a Gen 3 Sub. The Sub regularly (daily) disappears from the system. The beam still works fine and is in the App, but the Sub has vanished (system setup in the app shows ‘Beam +?’)Only solution seems to be a factory reset of the sub and then reintroduce it to the system. Not ideal and yesterday I couldn't get it back at all and after a faff I now have the sub but no beam :)Soooooo. My culprit I think is Sky Q interfering maybe. Ive tried both 5G and 2.4G frequencies and the same thing still happens.I’m thinking of going down the powerline route and putting a network cable into the sub and maybe the beam too. Has anyone tried this? thanks.Paul

my sonos can`t connect wifi

hi, guys, i need help,yesterday arrived my sonos, the picture, which  is made  with IKEA,i got the sonos app, and  i add it , but  when i put the  password,they said,`please, control the setting modem”,so  i open the 192.168.1.1, according the advise from app,i  had divided the wifi, the 2.4gzhz with different name , and model wifi is mixed 802.11 b/g/n, and then i tried again, but  i faild another time , and on app ,they said again` please, control the setting modem`,so  i thought maybe i was far from modem,so  i put it very close to the modem , and i tried again,but  i faild again…i`m very sad, and confused  , please someone hlep me ,

Amazon Music stations won’t play.

Hi, I am unable to play Amazon music Unlimited stations on Sonos. Tracks, albums etc all work. But when trying to play a station I get the message “requested operation failed. Please try again”. Of course, trying again only gives the same result. I have restarted my router and deleted and reinstalled Amazon Music, but to no avail.

Amazon Prime Music Station Suddenly Fails

Out of nowhere yesterday I was unable to play Prime stations. All return the error “requested operation failed. please try again”. I’ve reauthorized, deleted & re-added my Prime account, and done everything else I can think of. Other music on Prime works, I just can’t play any Stations. I found lots of threads about similar issues with Sonos & Prime but no clear solutions. Deleting my account from Sonos & re-adding it didn’t work.

Sonos android lost connection

I don’t know when it happened or why, but my Google Pixel 5 lost connectivity with my SONOS ONE (gen2) configuration.  It was working fine for literally MONTHS.  My new Kindle Fire 10 is absolutely fine and connects with no issue.This is what my “rant” is really about.  Once upon a time this product was simple and easy to use ...  and easy to connect.  Now, in order to connect the Android app to the system I need to turn on Bluetooth on my phone.  Why?   And I need to turn on Location Services on my phone.  Again, why?  And I need to turn on the microphone.  Why, why, why?  Why did you developers at Sonos take a perfectly good application and complicate the living hell out of it.  I am getting really tired of taking 20 minutes out of my life to reconnect your app to your speakers and watch your symbol spin around for 5 minutes each time it asks for more permissions and STILL NOT CONNECT.You really need to re-evaluate what it is that you are trying to accomplish here because from a cust

WiFi Keeps re-enabling and kicking system out of "mixed mode"

I am trying to run a mixed setup.  I have a Sonos Play 5 and Sonos Connect in my living room that Id like to remain wireless and connected via wifi.  My WIFI router is in the living room as well so there is a very good connection between the router and the 2 Sonos there.  I have another Sonos Connect and a Sonos Play 5 in the bar on the other end of the house.  The ones in the bar are hardwired because the wifi barely reaches there and I have problems when those units are connected via wifi.  The Connect (bar) is wired to the router and the Play 5 (bar) is wired to the other port on the Connect.  My goal is to have the 2 devices in the living room use WIFI, not SonosNet, and leave the Connect and Play 5 in the bar as wired.  I can get it to work a little while that way by setting up the Sonos system to use Wifi and disabling the wifi on the Connect and Play in the bar.  However, either the Connect or Play will turn back on the Wifi on it’s own after awhile.  The 2 Sonos in the living r

Unable to connect S1 system to new Wifi network

I have contracted a new Wifi network (while keeping the previous for a transition period). My S1 system consists of: Bridge, Play3, Connect and    Play5.  I follow the Sonos recommended procedure (connect one of the units to my router via an ethernet cable, and in the S-app connecting to the new Wifi net). Ok, connection succeds. When I disconnect the cable to the router, connection is lost ! (“Unable to connect to Sonos”).I have tried the same procedure restarting every S1-unit before disconnecting from the router with same negative result.The controller is an Ipad with IOS V14.6.Going back to my old Wifi net, solves of course the problem…Can anyone help with a solution ??

Songs in playlist 'expire' from Deezer?

this has been a problem I’ve had for quite a few years. from time to time songs on my playlist will no longer play. whenever they come up in the playlist, they get skipped. If I reorder the playlist to try to force the track to play, it will get skipped again. And again…. and again. This is not a case of jumping to the next track part way through. the entire track is just… not there. error message states:“unable to play <track name>. the connection to Deezer was lost”which is a fairly common error when there are network problems and tracks skip part way through, but the rest of the list will play fine. I can search for the exact same track on Deezer and re-add it to the play list, and it will play fine.I wouldn’t mind so much if I could occasionally skip through the play list to verify each track is working correctly except that for some reason there is a limit on how many tracks can be skipped per hour and I get locked out for 24 hours if I exceed that. any help greatly apprecia

I get a message that sonos can’t connect to my Mac. Spent a couple of hours with Sonos support who told me to contact Apple. Spent a couple of hours with Apple support who told me to contact Sonos. Found loads of threads of similar problems, no solutions…has anyone ever actually solved this issue or does everyone just give up and use Spotify?

“Play Next” command error

When I select “Play Next” for a track on the Sonos App, the track is correct added to the queue (after the song currently playing) but then it doesn’t play it  -  just skips passed it, to the track which was originally the next track.

Arc stopped working on Samsung TV

It was working fine and then just stopped working two nights ago. I have an older Samsung smart TV. I have tried changing HDMI cables, turning Anynet on and off, disconnecting the ARC power and HDMI, re-connecting them and nothing seems to work.

Sonos connect getting very hot

I have noticed recently my Connect is getting very hot on the top. Although i can hold my hand on it it is uncomfortable to do so. Is this a problem?It has also started to occasionally stop playing part way through a song. It will then start at the next song or i have to shut down the app and restart it otherwise the app won’t help it.

iPhone app is maddening

I love Sonos products and have a dozen different speakers, amps, sound bars, etc.Using the iPhone app to control them is maddening.  It must be the most sensitive app to any hiccup ever written.  The app continually goes offline “unable to connect to Sonos system”, typically when I need to turn it down/off for a phone call.  After a few minutes, it comes back.  I can force it to return by turning off Wi_Fi on my phone and rejoining the network.  Nothing has changed on my network for over a year.  Same router, SID, security, etc.When is the next update to the Sonos iPhone app expected?  It’s overdue….

Soundbar volume affected by electric fan etc.

Hi all, It seems my SONOS soundbar is continually adjusting when I have an electric fan on near it. It also seems to do this when many people are in the house. It’s as if it’s auto-adjusting it’s output to my Sony Bravia. This means that sometimes even at 0 volume it can still be heard. I continue pressing down on the volume and it seems to reset itself. Any ideas?

Hooking up Arc

I have an old 2016 Sony LCD that I will be attaching my Arc to. My tv doesn't have an eArc but it does have an Arc hdmi port. Would there be any difference in quality hooking the Arc using the optical adapter as compared to hooking it up via the Arc hdmi? I would like to use that last hdmi for an Xbox.

Hello,A customer had their Sonos registered to one of their employee but unfortunately that person left. They have now 4 Sonos that I need to sync and register to the company’s name instead. Is there a way to achieve that ?Best regards.

Sonos Roam connectivity.

I do feel for the numerous individuals that have struggled to get their lovely new purchase of a Sonos Roam up and running! I purchased a Sonos Roam and a Sonos One at the same time and I am a new user to the Sonos range. I’m retired but by no means incapable as IT was part of my daily work so I’m somewhat familiar with setting up home and office networks. The Sonos one was a complete breeze to set up on my home network. Great sound quality and user friendly.However the Roam is a totally different beast. You develop lots of patience helping individuals with their computer problems and boy I needed it with the Roam! Suffice to say having tried every logical avenue and followed every instruction I was unable to get Roam to talk to my network and it stalled always part way through the Sonos App setup process. I talked at length to Sonos support twice they too were unable to get the Roam setup to work. Support staff diligently worked their way through each step ( which I had already done m

WAP problems

I have several wired Sonos products + few not wired and a Roam. I have a main router and 2 WAPs - in lounge (netgear) and bedroom (ubiquity). The iOS app does not connect to the Sonos system when wifi connected near the main router but ok when connecting to wifi near 2 WAPs. All 3 use same SSID. Roam struggles to connect back via wifi after it’s been used from Bluetooth or randomly disappears from iOS controller. When this happens, on Spotify connect can see roam but on iOS controller  it’s not there. I am not a network expert - suspect it’s something to do with WAPs and DHCP settings. Netgear has option to set up or let router set it - not sure which one to use? Any help appreciated !

Beam IR sensor stops working

I purchased a Beam a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it but twice now I’ve had to power cycle it to get the IR sensor working again. Randomly it will stop responding to Sky Q remote when streaming music. Tried all the usual - batteries in remote, making sure IR sensor isn’t blocked, re-pairing etc. A power cycle is the only thing that works instantly without having to alter any other settings. It’s so frustrating and annoying. I have read other posts about this but they seem to be a few years old. Anyone else experiencing this still, any fixes etc?? I’ve got the latest software installed. TIA

Error 30 - not connecting

My sonos has simply stopped working. Cannot connect the bridge, although it was working without the bridge connected for about 2 or mor months. Now it says it cannot connect and error 30 comes up. I am fairly technical but need someone to hold my hand to get this working again.. what do i have to do to get my music playing ?? please help. thanks Elena

Can't register my speaker after changing the wi-fi network

Hi There, I have read some questions about the same issue I’m facing right now. But unfortunately I have not seen any solution yet.The issue: I bought a pair of Sonos One, and registered them. They worked well. After a while I had to change my wi-fi network. I thoght no problem, I went through the steps advised by Sonos FAQ, and one of the speakers could be re-registered under the new wi-fi system (it is working well). But the other speaker is problematic. The android app could not see it. I can’t even go back the factory reset, since the speaker goes back to solid white led signal after every factory reset trial. So it seems the speaker is connected to somewhere but I don’t know where, and I don’t have the access to the speaker, because the application on my mobile don’t see it. Of course I have already went through hundreds of SONOS FAQs, but no one helped. :(( So what now? Many thanks for every idea.
