Yup definitely a problem but not with iOS 16.  iOS 15 is doing it too.  Must be in the 14.x.x updates (14.18.1 is doing it).  Trying to use the volume slider is causing erratic adjustments.  Touching the volume bar works like normal.  I’ll have to submit a technical support ticket.

I’m not seeing the issue on my iPhone XR (iOS 16.1 - out today), but anyhow here’s a link to report the issue: https://support.sonos.com/s/contact

Unfortunately the Sonos tech I talked to said the same thing.  The next step is to demonstrate the issue.  He did ask if I had reinstalled the app.  In a way I did as it’s a new device.  Plus I’m seeing it on an old device.   BUT, due diligence, I restored the new device from iCloud.  Meaning there could be app data cached that an actual reinstall of the app may flush out.  So that may be the next step.

SAME thing here. volume 1,2 goes down to 0, 4,5 goes up to 5

The gif is looping by the way so you may see it jump as the animation restarts, but hopefully you can see the volume sliders are all working fine.

I can also say the volume slider works fine. However , like others have said in different forums, if you just touch the “dot” on the slider bar, it jumps to the left. It’s a pain in the ass. Volume goes down automatically every time.

You’ve got it!  That’s the bug.  You touch the dot and volume jumps down around 5%.  The room sliders also eventually auto hide even if you are dragging the dot around.

Due diligence, I reinstalled the app and there is no change.

Ken, not sure if I can show this in a gif…  I could try but not tonight!  I appreciate your help👍

That’s odd then, I’m not seeing it on my iPhone XR or iPad Pro, both are running iOS/iPadOS 16.1 and the S2 App is version 14.18.1 build 70134180, despite my sausage fingers🤔? I’ve tried clicking on the slider bar dot and can’t get it to jump left or right? I will keep trying it.

I have an iPad running iPadOS 15.7 and an iPhone XR running iOS 16.0.3 and I’m not seeing the issue .. if I set volume 4, 18, 32 etc; it stays at that precise volume.

Here’s a thought…

Is there another volume control perhaps in the mix here? By that I mean is the Sonos speaker in focus/being-controlled by the Sonos App, also connected to either Apple Airplay2, Spotify ‘Connect’ or Bluetooth for example? .. If it is, then perhaps control the volume either via Spotify or the Airplay volume slider etc. instead, or of course disconnect the speaker from those things and then try the Sonos volume slider whilst playing a direct in-built audio source via the Sonos App instead.
