Hi Steve, thanks for reaching out. Flash briefings are something we are looking to bring to our customers at a later date along with some other improvements such as controlling Spotify through voice with your Sonos One. We'll be sure also to share your interest in seeing this feature come to Sonos as soon as possible with the rest of our team.

I can confirm this, it's coming. However, I would like to add that the Flash Briefing is really high up on our list. I'd expect to see it pretty soon, but I can't share an actual date just yet. There's still some work and testing to be done.
My system consists of a Play Bar, a SUB and a pair of play 1's in my lounge. Additionaly a Play 3 in my dining room and a Play 1 in my bedroom. Stupidly I got excited and ordered a Sonos One without researching and assuming .....Like I'll remove one of the Play 1's in my lounge and substitute the Sonos one which would be really cool to have that voice control. Nooooo! you can't stereo pair a Play 1 with a One.....What! that's ridiculous. And of course.... "Alexa what's the news". "Hears a flash briefing" Silence.....what! again. Surely this is Alexa and should be able to do everything my Amazon Dot can does! Oh I'm in the UK and it's 19:21 but my One says it's 11:20am. I've checked the time/date in the App for the One and it's showing correct for my location. Guys I've finished buying Sonos speakers. I can't afford to buy another Sonos One to make a stereo pair.

Yep. Its stuck in mountain standard time north america
Some people have had better luck using the Alexa web interface rather than the app. It may be that the app needs an update, or it just may be a quirk. Try these links:
