Did anyone get an Amazon Echo Dot coupon? My friend told me about it today, but I've had a sonos play 5 since 2012 but I didn't get a coupon. :?
Hi everyone, if you think you're eligible for the Echo Dot promotion it'd be best to give us a call on our sales line. The team can help check your eligibility and see about getting you a code if you are.

The general terms of the promotion are here, if you're looking for them.
Yup, same here. 15 separate Sonos devices but somehow I don't qualify for a discount voucher and it's too late for them to issue me with one. I'm normally a huge advocate for Sonos tech and customer service but this "promotion" really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Sonos is a scam? What does not being able to get a promo code that wasn't intended to be sent to you (on a non-sonos product) somehow bring the conclusion that Sonos is a scam? Really??

It's an abuse of costumers! But I hear the set designers got their codes just fine. They are a happy bunch.
Rang Sonos this morning to be told they are no longer issuing the code. This disappointing as even the sales assistant in the major store wher I bought it thought the offer was valid until 29th. To say I feel misled is an understatement.
Facebook messaged Sonos yesterday - they checked my email and sent me a code. Getting it ordered!
K Dupont check you private messages.
Back to deciding if the Echo Dot or Google Home mini is the way to go...

If you aren't already dug into one assistant brand, figure out what's important to you, in a voice assistant.

If you have an Android phone, are looking for a music player, answers to questions, or a little bit of smart home control(which they're adding more supported devices constantly), the Google Home Mini may be best.

On the other hand, if you do a lot of Amazon ordering, do a lot of smart home control, basic information look up, but sound quality isn't a big deal, try out the Amazon Echo.
1) Sonos can't control what the media publishes. It's not their fault that incorrect info was put out there, stating everyone would get the coupon.

2) If you're a loyal Sonos customer, missing out on a $25 coupon, which you in no way earned, shouldn't be a big deal. You're really going to boycott an entire company because you didn't get a free coupon that you weren't even entitled to get?

3) Sonos isn't going to check this thread, see everyone crying, then decide to issue more coupons.

Just to recap: QUIT YOUR CRYING!
You'd think with Halloween coming up, costumers would be first on the list! 🆒

I was told on Sonos FB that they ran out of codes, if they never wanted to give it to their costumers then never should have said they will. Sonos is scam, would never recommend it to my friends. :@:@:@

What do you mean by not intended to me...I think being a customer of sonos products proves that I was eligible for it but never received it, calling them scam bcoz they said they will send it to their customers. On the other hand it is not about money, it is about how sonos deal with their loyal customers. Hope It clears it and not hard feelings mate :):D

I must be mistaken in never seeing Sonos say they were sending everyone coupons. If they said they were sending everyone a coupon and didn't . . that still wouldn't be a scam. You could call it other things but not a scam (scam would be they benefit by you not getting the coupon). But then again I must have missed where they said they were sending everyone a coupon.
darn it, I never got one of these and now it's over. Bummer. Been a Sonos customer for many years. 😞
Then they obviously decided to allot more, because it was declared done last week. Good for them.
Wait for black friday... You're likely to have the same discount on dots..
I just called and was told that a very small group of beta testers were given this coupon and that I was not eligible. I have bought 2 playbars, two play 2s, 1 play one, 2 sonos 1's, and a bass speaker within the past two months. Anyone else told this? Sound right to you?

I was told, by Sonos, that this promotion was an Amazon promotion in which people who were part of the beta testing for (I believe I remember correctly) Alexa integration with Sonos over the last several months. The Verge wrote their article claiming that "The deal is pretty simple: if you’re a Sonos customer, you should be getting a unique code sometime this week with the discount, which marks down the Echo Dot from the usual $49.99 price tag to $24.99." Of course there is no source in which the link. This is where the confusion came from for me at least.
Bit annoyed that i've just went to purchase the amazon dot using the 50% discount to find the code has expired.

Is there any valid codes? I've spend a fortune on Sonos equipment lately and really wanted to try the voice control.
i nevergot this 😞 who do you email ??

I emailed, waited for 24 hrs, called sales line (they were apparently all out golfing), called support line, talked to an amazingly good tech who wasn’t aware of the offer, but made sure I got a code from sales. Then I got another code from my email, lol.

I was told by two different people at Sonos that this promotion was through Amazon and that Sonos could not give out a code as they were not the ones to send the codes initially. Appearantly some people were able to but, I assume they were part of the Alexa/ Sonos beta testing? There is plenty of miscommunication around this promotion, but I think it'll largely pass over quickly an be a non story. I'm disappointed to have read that all Sonos customers would get the promo (via The Verge) and that be flat out wrong. I've spent more than $25 worth of my time and energy trying to track down this promo code; oh well. Back to deciding if the Echo Dot or Google Home mini is the way to go...
called up to get the discount code as I haven't received one and only bought sonas 1 in the summer. Was told there was no codes left and because I hadn't ticked the box for promotional emails I didn't get one. Was just about to but a second speaker for living room and use echo dot but think I'll just wait for Apple homepod instead. shame really.
This is disappointing - clearly waiting patiently for my voucher wasn’t the way to go.

Anyhow now the echo temptation has gone I’ll go back to waiting to see how google home/airplay 2 support plays out.
