I have the same problem with the updated app - EQ controls have no effect. Come on Sonos - don’t release an update, and urge me to install it, unless it works.
Same thing happens when trying to add myTuner radio stations to favourites. It says 'added to favourites', then I go to favourites and nothing has been added. Also, icon links to radio stations don't work and show a 'something went wrong' message.
Yes, something went wrong. The project manager for the new app rollout went completely wrong and should never be allowed to work in the business again.
Same problem for me after updating the app!
Update. I logged out. Deleted the app and its data. Reinstalled later in the day. It seems the EQ is now working after doing this.
Maybe a clean install of the app is a better option than the update. Worth trying??
thanks

Worked like a charm, thank you good sir!
Unfortunately this did not work for me...
Tried to delete and reinstall…didn’t work…
How can you make a s***** new app and release it before it’s finished?? The old one was great!
Loved Sonos for a long time..now starting to look for alternatives in my new place, expensive items and an app that doesn’t work as it should.

Sorry
Same problem. Has never been working. Sonos does not care
Same issue with getting sub output to work on Amp, tried power cycle, uninstalling and reinstalling app - nothing - what a mess. Worked fine before app and associated firmware updates
Same here. i have had sonos in 8 years. It’s never been working
Same issue here. I saw all the negative reviews on the app but I mainly used it for initial setup and left the EQ untouched in the past, so didn’t think too much of it.
Recently upgraded my office from stereo One SLs to stereo Era 100 and Sub Mini, occasionally the right Era 100 and Sub Mini will disconnect and just the left Era 100 will play music. Incredibly infuriating as multiple restarts of the speakers/sub don’t fix it, until it randomly does.
That being said, noticed today the EQ in my app is all reset to zero when debugging that and changing the settings does nothing. Tried app re-install and nothing. The room is not even showing up in my Sonos MacOS app where I could successfully adjust the EQ before.
Baffling they released the app in this state given many consider these products a premium consumer home audio product… hope they fix soon.

this worked for me also! Thanks for posting your solution :)
So finally updated to latest sonos app and the EQ / Sound function doesn’t even show up on any of my speakers that allows me to change treble/bass, etc. Any help is appreciated!
Under system settings the EQ control for a pair of SONOS ONE speakers doesn’t work. I can move the sliders but there is no effect on the sound. If I try adjust L/R balance nothing happens. Also if I set the volume limit to 90% when I leave system settings and then return it is back to ‘off’.
Any clues anyone?
The new app seems to be unfinished. Very poor UX and as a heavily invested SONOS user I’m really not impressed.
Im desperate I’ll try anything. And clean copies always work better than patches. I cant believe i havent tried this. Thanks
Works for me by just logging out and logging in to the Sonos app.
I haven't deleted the app and its data. I just don't want this hassle. I wanted to start with something simple first. The EQ is now responding well. Thanks for your first advice.
Same issue here. Thanks for the tip! I deleted the app, reinstalled, logged in and hey presto the EQ works
Did the TruePlay tuning which made it sound like absolute dog poo so turned that off, making the EQ really useful for basic colouring.
Same problem here on iPhone - adjusting the EQ controls suddenly didn’t have any effect. I deleted the app and all app data, then reinstalled it (build version 80.06.03 for iPhone). All EQ controls are now functioning properly again.
(Note: not sure whether it's of any significance, but installing this version to fix the problem didn’t request a hardware update, as is often the case…)
