View originalBeam: no HDMI ARC, No optical output
Can I still use Beam with a TV that have neither an HDMI ARC connector, nor an optical output?

Not directly. You would need some type of converter to change whatever audio output you have to optical.
I too have a fairly new TV (LG GA6400-G3) that does not have either HDMI-ARC or Optical output. Currently, I use HDMI to my Dennon receiver for front/rear/center audio. My receiver does have Optical Output.... Will I be able to use my Beam with this configuration?
How can any "fairly new TV" NOT have an optical output? Answer: it DOES, actually. https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-47GA6400-led-tv says so.
I stand corrected. When I took it off the wall, I only saw the HDMI ports on the side...and the Optical output is on the back. Thank you for the pointer.
Would I be able to use my "Receiver" Optical Audio with the Beam since Audio from the TV is routed to the receiver via HDMI? If not, I need to order a longer HDMI cable to run from the TV (cables behind wall) to the Beam using the included adapter.
Hi, I have this TV https://www.philips.com.sg/c-p/50PFT5109_98/5100-series-full-hd-led-tv-with-digital-crystal-clear/specifications No ARC or optical out. I tired to connect Beam to Android media box with optical convertor but no luck. Android box connects to TV with HDMI
Forget it, rebooted everything and voila!
