I love my three brand new Sonoses, but I’ve just disabled the Google assistant on all three because it’s too inconsistent.

The assistant volume is tied to the Sonos volume, so when I listen to my music loud in the kitchen then “ hey Google” it’s incredibly jarring and loud. Especially for podcasts or for TV on the Beam, both of which are relatively quiet so the assistant becomes tremendously loud.

Likewise when the music is quiet, if I then trigger the assistant from another room it’s far too quiet.

I’ve switched back to a Google home mini for now but it would be great if Sonos allowed you to separately control the assistant volume.

Thanks @Paul A I’ll subscribe to the announcements too. It’ll be nice to see what’s released. Might join the beta programme as well! 😊
