Volume difference between tracks only on Sonos

I have some audio books as mp3 in my local library that have a rather big difference in volume between some tracks.In example the third track of the audiobook is noticably more quiet than the second and third. So much, that i need to adjust the volume to listen to it.This problem seems to be only present while listening through the Sonos system. When i play the same files on my windos computer (built in Groove App or VLC) or via various apps on my iPhone the tracks are at a comparable volume to one another.I tried fixing this with MP3Gain program by changing the metadata (REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN Tag) but before my changes this is compareble with the other tracks. When i change the tag and increse the volume to this one track it is indeed louder when i play it in Sonos, but it also gets louder in all other mentiond replay devices/apps too.Does anyone have an idea, why Sonos seems to behave different to all other playback devices/apps and how to fix this?

Denon Amp and Sonos Surround System wireless connection

I have a whole sonos wireless system (sub, surrounds (One SL), beam, move and even boost). It is all wirelessly connected and cannot be connected to my Denon Amp by wires as it is not nearby.I am interested in knowing what sonos device is required or what steps I need to follow in order to be able to connect all my speakers wirelessly to the Denon Amp  Denon AVR S760H).Reason: I want to use a Projector with it and in order to be able to use playstation, blueray and other devices, I need the amp.PLEASE HELP ME.

sound skipping or cutting out

Hello all, I have been encountering an issue with the sound skipping or cutting in and out randomly when watching streaming TV. I have a new Epson smart projector with an 8k capable hdmi cable connected to the HDMI ARC from the projector to the Sonos Arc. I have Wi-Fi extenders meshed throughout my home. I just purchased my Sonos sound bar and Sub 3 weeks ago. All of my equipment is new and has up to date firmware. I tested the projector and it performed fine when it uses its built in speaker but starts skipping when I connect the Sonos sound bar. Has anyone experienced this? If so how was it fixed? Thank you all for your time.

Sonos Beam Gen 2 Neuf - Problème HP?

Bonjour à tous. J'ai l'impression que le haut parleur central à droite du tweeter sonne moins brillant que celui de gauche, est ce que ça se comporte pareil sur toutes les Sonos Beam Gen 2? Je m'en rend compte vraiment en m'approchant de près si non je ne ressens aucun déséquilibre dans le son depuis les positions d'écoutes.Par avance, merci, bye.

What's the problem between Sonos and Apple these days?

What’s going on between Sonos and Apple?I am once again unable to update the Sonos app on my MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.1. Sonos says an update is available, but when I try I get an “unable to update, try again later” window. This first happened about a month ago, and I was able to update by downloading Version 14.19 from Sonos. Now the problem seems to exist again.Yesterday, when grappling with this, I received another notification from Sonos that I was no longer connected to Apple Music. This also happened about a month ago. Reconnecting is easy to do, and I have done it again, but what’s going on?I have satisfactorily used my Sonos Play 5 and two Play 1’s with all my apple devices (MacBook, iPad, iPhone) reliably for the past five years without these problems, until recently. Is there now some compatibility problem I don’t understand?My wife has enjoyed Sonos throughout, but she’s not particularly computer savvy. So, what was once a reliable system now becomes in regular annoyan

Arc crashes

Not sure how to describe, but my Arc seems to crash and reboot itself every so often (about an hour).  This only happens when the input is TV.  The arc is wired with wired sub, Symfonisk frames wireless for surrounds. The arc just stops responding, and shows red in the app.  The lite blinks white for a bit, and then comes back.  It appears to be rebooting.

Low dialogue with Arc using Atmos

I know that dialogue issues with Arc have been discussed a lot, but I am still at an impasse. The latest updates did help a lot with dialogue on my Arc + Sub (3), but when using Atmos through my Apple TV 4K, dialogue levels are still very low. I have Speech Enhancement engaged, and typically have “Reduce Loud Sounds” engaged on the Apple TV. When I turn off Atmos in Apple TV, and revert to 5.1, the issue resolves itself. Does anyone have suggestions on what to try to resolve this using Atmos? I feel like I’ve tried every combination to make this usable. I have performed Trueplay after the latest update.

One SL's vs. in-wall w/ AMP (vaulted great room)

Hello all,I have been looking to trying to find some discussions about this but cant seem to get anything clear:I am in the process of building my new home. The great room has a vaulted 2-story ceiling. Picture below)Current plan is to do Arc in front, Sub, unknown on surround.Need guidance on surround:What gives best sound (for movies) on this application? (2) One SL’s mounted on wall at sitting/ ear height, Or AMP with in-wall at sitting/ear height? If I went with the in-walls- what is the quality of the in-wall speakers? Am I better off buying the Amp and getting different in-walls or are the Sonos in-walls good quality? Thanks for the help, and apologies if this has already been discussed

S2 system unstable when Play1 and Connect:AMP are added

I upgraded to S2. I have a new ARC and a Move that play fine. But the system becomes unstable when I power up my Play1 and Connect:Amp. How to solve this problem?Likely causes to check out?

Cannot Suddenly Connect to Sonos Beam Gen 1 Anymore

Hi,I have Sonos Beam Gen 1 in my household connected via wifi. The product has worked fine for a long time but suddenly I lost the ability to connect to it without any clear reason. There were no changes in the network, the connection just stopped working. I can reconnect to the Beam with bluetooth and reset the wifi password but after setting everything up, the Sonos application fails to connect to Beam device. This happend on both Sonos (iPhone v 14.20) and Sonos S1 applications. I have tried following things without success:Try to discover Sonos devices in the network (Sonos apps) Try to fix Sonos connection (Sonos apps) Reconfigure Sonos connection to the wifi (bluetooth) Try different iPhone to connect to Sonos Try to change wifi password Try to connect Sonos with LAN cable Reset Sonos Beam Try everything above again Remove Sonos application and try everything again after reinstallationFollowing things have been checked:Sonos and iPhone are wifi connected and in the same network B

Hi, I have a Sonos system set up throughout my home  and have had no issues the entire time I’ve had it but over the last couple of months have been experiencing some really annoying issues with it. I have updated all the system and app. I have had the broadband, router and wifi checked and tested and all working fine.The issue I’m having is massive lagging of sound when connecting multiple speakers, literally 5-10 second delay of all eventually syncing to be all on at once then randomly odd speakers dropping completely out then re connecting.I’m also experiencing if I have a playlist playing and leave it to go to next track the sound is fine but if I want to skip to the next track midway through a track everything drops out, some speakers continue to play the track I’m trying to skip whilst others start to play the next track (again all out of sync) eventually all catching up. Everything has been running through wifi and I’ve also tried connecting one or two via Ethernet to eliminate

2 Unresponsive Roams

Face it Sonos, your Roam product is faulty. And to make matters worse, it’s sold at a Sonos price. My kids have less than $50 products that last longer, have the ability to stereo pair in Bluetooth, and are more dependable.I love my Play:5 (Gen2), three (3) One’s (Gen1), One (Gen2), and Amp. And after getting over the fact that my two (2) Moves won’t stereo pair in Bluetooth mode, I’ve learned to appreciate the acoustical depth they generate.One of my Roams has already been replaced. But now, both are unresponsive. To anything! I purchased the wireless charger for each, so it’s not the charger. They are your chargers. Within the S2 System App one is listed in “Sleep mode” and the other is “Not connected.” They both are unresponsive to resets, factory resets, charging for several days, no lights, no nothing.And I’m seriously considering replacing my Samsung soundbar and subwoofer with your Arc. But can’t bring myself to do it with this Roam issue still pissing me off.Admit it. Your Roam

Tidal: random airplay disconnections, deezer: unable to cast from the app itself… why in 2023, the only app who really works well with sonos is Spotify? 👎

Poor sound quality with turntable and preamp inputs

I have a Fluance turntable connected to a Fluance preamp to a Play 5. When both input cables are plugged into the preamp, the sound quality is horrible - we can’t hear vocals at all. When we unplug either the red or the white input cables on the preamp, the sound quality improves but we’re missing a lot of base and it’s a little hollow.  We’ve changed the RCA cables and I’m going to try a different preamp. We’ve also changed the line level on the Sonos app and it didn’t help significantly. Any other suggestions??

Trouble accessing playlists from WD NAS

I recently replaced my home NAS with a Western Digital My Cloud EX2Ultra. I have set up my FLAC library in a shared folder which Sonos is able to access through “Music Library” on the Sonos app. However, Sonos no longer can find files in this folder, when trying to play them through an m3u playlist, exported to this folder. I export these playlists from my home PC, while storing the paths relative to the exported playlist location (which is the NAS). Sonos is able to play the individual files from the playlist, which reside on this NAS location. In the past, Sonos was able to utilize these playlists. Also, I have the “Twonky” server installed on the NAS which shows up on Sonos as a media server. However, Sonos is unable to play any of the files which it sees through this server. I also have a WiiM mini, which is able to easily play the files and the exported m3u playlists from the NAS, using the Twonky media server. Is there something else Sonos requires to enable usage of “Imported Pl

SL1s can I Unplug and move the speaker placement without changing the settings? Can I use with 4 SL1s and and a sub until I buy the ARC? I’m transitioning from Bose. Using a LG 86 TV no receivers just the tv. Thanks in advance.

Windows PC Audio Output with Sonos One Bluetooth speaker

I am trying to use my speaker (sonos one) to listen to audio from my computer.   I can connect it just fine in bluetooth - but it wont recognize it as an audio devices.  I have Lenovo PC wih windows 11 - are there known bugs with this type of connection?  (I know the speaker is pretty old)

What setup is needed for turntable?

I recently setup an arc and sub for our living room and added a move to expand the sound into the kitchen (next to each other in an semi open concept layout). It works great and we love it.  I want to get my husband a turntable or a way to listen to his vinyls with our current speaker setup if possible. Should I buy the sonos turntable or will the amp or port work with his existing old school turntable, currently set up in the basement with a receiver and terrible old speakers. I’m very confused about it all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Sonos regularly dropping NAS library

I have my music library on a Network Attached Storage Device (QNAP) as a shared drive on my home network which is also remotely replicated to another property I have. However Sonos regularly loses the access to the drive. The drive mapping is still configured in my sonos manage music section, the connection is wired so it is not a wifi issue, but my Sonos app (Phone and Desktop, S2) tells me I have no music. I then have to remap the drive in Sonos settings for it to rebuild the index and library.  Simply rebuilding the Index does not work. Any advice would be appreciated
