Since all devices have a Bluetooth module, and apparently you all don’t want to disable it after setup, might as well make use of it.

  • Variable transmission power level: This allows Bluetooth to play a bit nicer with other 2.4GHz devices.
  • LE Audio: Make it another audio sink, allowing one to broadcast from apps that don’t support Chromecast. And who knows, maybe mesh audio in the future?
  • LC3 audio codec.
