How do I go back to S2? This new app does not work at all and I am not waiting until Sonos decides to fix it in the coming months. I have read several treads now and @sonos does not seem to give 2 ***** about fixing it or what is doing to the reputation. I have been a loyal customer for decades. But this will make me sell everything I own and go to Apple. Maybe that’s what they want? Can’t believe these companies can just change **** that we pay for, so tired of these companies thinking they have the power to do what they want when it’s us that have to pay the consequences.

 

time to go back to CDs and MP3’s with a good old receive and booming speakers they can’t just one day decide to not make work.

You can’t revert to the old app unless you are on Android (installing the old app via an apk).

If you're on iOS then, given you can’t wait, you’d better get selling. 
(By the way, contrary to what you suggest, there is no need to sell everything you own. Just your Sonos in this instance, I’d imagine.)


Can you lay your hands on an oldish spec Android tablet? It’s so easy to install 16.1 and keep that going on a temporary tablet that it may be worth looking into. I use two relatively old Lenovo tablets (in docking stations) and they are still working well.

But if you’re considering it, check on how old a version of Android the 16.1 version will tolerate, obviously.
