Calm Radio another victim of this week's update disaster?

Calm Radio stations don't appear in the wake of the app update disaster. The service is still there, but it does  nothing. Yet the Sonos status page lists it as working. That's three of my favourite services gone today--Calm Radio, CBC and Amazon Music. Great work, Sonos!

I’m still on the old-but-working app version and Calm doesn’t work there either. It DOES work via it’s own android app, which mostly rules out issues on Calm side of things.

True. It's not working for me on the old Android Sonos app, either. It did come back to life for a few minutes yesterday, but didn't work for long. Yet the Sonos status page continues to report Calm Radio as “operational”.

I updated my Sonos app yesterday and now Calm Radio doesn’t work for me, either. I tried reauthorizing the account but just got a message to check my internet connection and try again. I then deleted it from the app and when I try to re-add it I get the same message. Other services are working just fine. It’s just Calm Radio for me that stopped working.

Same issue. I reached out to Calm customer service online. Waiting for response.  Getting through to Sonos customer service is impossible.

My Calm app is now working on Sonos.

Calm Radio is also back for me at the moment. I'm hoping it stays that way. (Yesterday it came back for a while, the stopped working again.)

The Calm Radio service is very intermittent - works occasionally - doesn’t work often - works maybe one in five times.  Definitely caused by the new Sonos app.  It in the connection between the Sonos App  and the Calm Radio service.

PLEASE FIX THIS!!  It’s POOR at this point.

One more thing about this….  When I go in through the Calm Radio app on my phone and then send the feed to my Sonos speakers it WORKS.  The Sonos App needs to be better if Sonos wants to sell their products.  I like SONOS but this has to get better.  LOTS of GREAT choices out there.

The Calm Radio service on Sonos isn't working for me at the moment on any version of the app, including older Android versions. It is also not working on SonoPad. But the Calm Radio app is working fine. This indicates the Sonos Calm serice is broken again--even though the Sonos status page says it is working. Sonos is extremely irritating these days..

Calm radio doesn’t work in the new iOS app and in the desktop app. Tried removing and re-adding but then I also get the message about my internet connection.

The status page shows everything operational, which makes me wonder if Sonos is even aware of all these issues?

More Sonos Calm Radio service weirdness. It hasn't worked for me for at least two days. As an experiment, I changed my router DNS settings from Google (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) to my provider's assigned DNS. Calm Radio immediately started working, but then conked out after about three minutes while playing music. Several tries in the next few minutes failed, but about 10 minutes later Calm was back again. Could just be coincidence as Sonos works on the issue, but with Sonos being so terrible lately I'll take what I can get.

Sonos. please, please, please fix these recurring issues with the Calm Radio service.

Since the app update it has turned into a nightmare. It works sometimes, but not most of the time. It was we orking earlier today, but broken again two hours later. Same thing yesterday. Often, the station group and subgroup choices simply won't load. Sometimes the main groups will load but when you choose subgroups nothing appears. Other times, all goes well until you finally get to pick a station to listen to, then the dreaded “something went wrong” message appears. On those rare occasions when you manage to play a station, it will sometimes stop on its own. If you stop a station yourself, and come back to Calm Radio 30 minutes later, you might get the “something went wrong” message again, or the Calm Radio Sonos service might have stopped working entirely for  the 10th time that day. Then, if you repeat the same step a dozen times the “something went wrong” message might disappear and be replaced by an actual playing Calm station .

This is a mess. You made it clear about 11 days ago in an earlier response that you are aware of issues with Calm. But they go on, and on, and on.  The Sonos status page keeps reporting the Calm Radio service is functioning, when it isn't. Meanwhile, the Calm Radio standalone apps are rock solid.

Calm Radio is not working AGAIN with Sonos. July 28, 2024 (and worked only sporadically for the previous two days). Calm works with other brands and services (Roon, Wiim etc.) and the Calm apps on iOS and Android are we working fine. Of course, the Sonos status page continues to show Calm and all other apps as fully functional, as it usually does when something isn't working.
