Hi, can anyone tell why it isnt possible to run dual subs with a stereo pair of Fives when it is possible with the much inferior Beam?

I’m afraid the dual Subs feature is limited to only home theatre setups. Evidently this is where the bulk of Subs are used.

Probably because Sonos concentrated on adding dual Sub support for home theater use rather than general music listening. The Beam is primarily a home theater speaker. The Five is not.

Yes, I suspected as much. But I hope Sonos will add support for stereo speakers in the future too.

If there is enough demand from users like you, I’m sure Sonos will consider it.
