With the new upgrade, can you continue to use the the product you are eligible to... Or does it break the "older" one ?

According to news articles, yes, you can keep your old speaker.  Surely mentioned in the terms and conditions as well.  Besides that, Sonos would surely not repeat the same mistake, one they had to later correct, that they made previously.
