I am so confused at this point.

I have a beam connected to the tv and a new turntable with preamp. I also have a Sonos one in another room and am likely to move it and add another one to create surround in living room. I also have two echo dots in other rooms.

I want to play the turntable but don’t want to buy bookshelf speakers. I have a small apartment so wanting to make the best with small options and want to integrate what I have.

So, I assume I need the sonos amp? If I buy a port the I’d also have to buy a separate amp?

Help!!

You just need a Sonos device with line-in like a Port or Five. The Amp isn’t necessary unless you plan on powering a pair of passive speakers. If you don’t need any other speakers, get the Port. Read more here:

Another option (that has yet to be announced) is the Era 100 or 300. They both reportedly have line-in ports via USB-C. They should be officially announced by Sonos on Tuesday.

Thanks!! I read a couple of articles that said I still needed an amp with the port but called a store and they were kind enough to set me straight. Can’t seem to get sound to work on the port/beam combo but will trouble shoot tomorrow.

Does your TV have an Audio In port?

If so you could get by with what you have by connecting there and letting the TV pass it to the Beam.

I tried that last weekend but couldn’t get that to work.

That said, I can’t seem to get the port to work!
