I ordered a Sonos Move on September 9th, with an estimated shipping date of October 22nd. I emailed support this week and got back a “it should ship in the next couple of weeks” reply but nothing specific for a timeline. Today I got an email from support saying that “due to high demand and inventory constraints” they wont be able to fulfill my order by its originally estimated date (last week).
Has anyone else had a similar problem? When should i expect to get my product?

There is very low or no stock of the Move and many other Sonos devices all over the world because of high demand, supply chain issues, and a global microchip shortage. So you aren’t the only person experiencing a delay.
I was excited to get the upgrade promotion/discount today. Went in an immediately filled out an order only to learn it is out of stock with no date anticipated date...just out of stock. Regardless of cause, why promote something you don’t have and create a sour experience for the customer.
Disappointed.

The promotion of the Upgrade Program doesn’t promote an individual Sonos device, it just promotes the program. There are other Sonos speakers that are currently in stock that you can purchase using the Upgrade Program discount. And the Upgrade Program should still be around when the global supply chain gets back to normal.
Your product is probably on one of these boats off the coast of California.

Most of Sonos products have been on back order for over a year now. Not just because of shipping/production delays, but Sonos new products and people staying at home more has increased demand. If Sonos waited till everything is back in stock, which could be a very long time, then you’re essentially saying they shouldn’t offer any discounts at all. I get the disappoint regarding backorders, but I would rather see discounts now for the shopping season as I want to order as soon as possible to get the best chance it arrives by Christmas. I would be more disappointed if I ordered now, only to receive a discount a month later.
And these discounts don’t expire, you can wait till the world starting spinning at it’s normal pace again if you prefer.
Look, I like the product and I agree it was a “blanket’ promotion. Yet there was a clear invitation to buy a product given the “get ahead of the high demand during the holidays” and the shop button on the landing page. My only point is they set an expectation that effectively they could not meet.
