Hi There

here is the layout of our flat and we want to purchase Sonos for this flat. So far we have an in ceiling speaker in the master ensuite.

but we will need to purchase a system for the living  room/ kitchen / dining and standalone speakers/ sound for each bedroom. Only one TV in living room ( bedrooms don’t have TV’s).

what would you recommend at a sensible cost don’t want to go over the top on spend?

Going “over the top” will differ depending on one’s budget. What’s yours?

Are you looking for a full-blown Atmos or 5.1 home theatre system? How important is music rather than tv for the tv system? Do you want single-speaker mono sound in bedrooms, or single-speaker stereo, or 2-speaker stereo? In-ceiling, wall-mounted, speakers on stands…

Why do you want a Sonos system? Dare I say it: there may be better cost/benefit solutions unless there are features in the Sonos gear - synchronised multi-room listening - that do push you to Sonos.

What speakers/positioning have you considered? What ideas have you dismissed, and why?

Like Sonos system had before

TV and Music important for living area

It will be a large TV not a cinema

want sound to fill both dining and living when we play music.
stereo sound single speakers for rooms portable mounted on a bedside table or shelf

main bedroom two speakers

be good to have a clock and alarm in bedrooms too

So you know Sonos, you like the products, and still won’t say budget.

Music: 2xFives and Sub

Portable speakers: Move2, or Era 300 if “moveable from time to time”

main bedroom 2xEra 100 or 300
